Hopeless Desire of a Witch - Chapter 9
In fact Irene knew very well that mixed races did not have wings.
Among other things, inside the basket was a token that appeared to have been put in by the parents. It was a pocket watch engraved with a pattern consisting of a pair of wings and a sword. Although she did not know who that family crest belonged to, it was a clear proof of her origin as a human being.
“Really?! Is that true? Really!”
She looked as if her wish came true after waiting for a period of time. The excited child threw her spoon down and pounded the table.
“Eirene.”
Irene looked at the child with stern eyes. No matter how cute she was, I didn’t mean to make her forget the politeness in front of the table.
There will be a day, when Eirene, who is everything for Irene, will realize the reality and find her parents.
The pocket watch with a chain was hidden deep with Irene, so that it would not be lost when that time comes. All Irene could do was to try not to let Eirene go wrong until she found her family.
“Heh.”
The child, who did not know any complicated feelings, grabbed the spoon and placed it back skillfully after being given attention. Then, with a soup on her lips, she swallowed and grinned,
In the end, Irene couldn’t help but smile as if she was the one who lost. It was really hard to scold her.
“Sister, sister. Come one.”
“Yes, yes, Why?”
“Isn’t it okay if I make something with value too?” The child blinked, noticing that Irene wasn’t really angry, even though the atmosphere was still peaceful.
“Well…”
“If it has value, my sister could go to bed early and can give more gifts to her animal friends.”
When Irene couldn’t answer her question in a nutshell, Eirene diligently explained her reasons.
Although she was still young, Eirene completely understood the concept of barter and money.
However, the spirits around…they said that it was all an illusion. But Irene believed that her younger sister was truly special. Watching from the side, she realized that she could get food for a meal through the act of making things until late at night. And that she could receive money to buy snacks for her animal friends or a pretty head dress for Eirene.
After that, when irene headed to the studio, eirene waisted with her eyes shining instead of whining to play. She knew why she had to be patient. Among her peers, that damn Philip who pokes her with a branch then runs away was just stupid.
Now, Eirene has a new problem…
