How Long I’ll Last [COMPLETED] - Chapter 3:What We Leave Behind
“Well…” Eve started…
Chapter 3
“I was sitting on my chair, in class-” Eve was cut off by Ian.
“Did you go to Dormeadow Academy?” Ian asked.
“Does it….hurt?” Kuroki asked, showing concern for the girl that she had just met. Eve somewhat blushed, and turned away.
“I’m fine.” She replied.
The trio then started walking towards a small run down house. Its windows were all shattered, the door seemed to be opened, too.
“Guys…the door is opened. Maybe we shouldn’t go in there.” Kuroki stated as she noticed that the door was opened.
“Oh please! What? Are you afraid that a RAT will be in there?” Ian said in a taunting manner.
“Ian.” Eve said, glaring at Ian, who did seem somewhat intimidated by Eve’s glare. He sighed.
“Alright. Where do we go then? And we better make it quick, because those creatures, they didn’t look like dumba*ses, that’s for sure.” Ian said, now somewhat wary of his surroundings. Kuroki sighed.
“Follow me.” Kuroki said.
After a bit of walking, the trio came upon a house. It didn’t seem as deplorable as the other’s they’d seen before.
“Where are we?” Eve questioned.
“My home.” Kuroki said.
“Alright, let’s go in!” Ian said as he started walking towards the house, while the girl’s followed him.
“Wait!” Eve whispered.
“We’ve got to check for….those…things..” Eve finished.
“Gottcha.” Ian said as he began crouching, cautiously advancing inside the building.
“Hiiiiihhhhh….hiihhhh…hihhh.”
“What was that?” Kuroki asked, somewhat scared.
“It sounded like…..hissing?” Eve asked curiously.
“But last time I encountered one of those things…it talked…” Kuroki informed Eve and Ian.
“Well I guess that one was smart…or perhaps special?” Eve said.
“You know what? F*ck this ‘stealthy game’. I’m killing this thing!” Ian said as he lunged at the creature with the knife he had found in the convenience store. The creature stood still as Ian put his knife through its skull, making it collapse.
“….i….dese… rve….to…..die…”
“Did it just whisper something?!” Kuroki thought to herself, somewhat shaking.
