How To Save A Time Limited Young Master - Chapter 7
The weekend has passed, and Monday came.
Heloise stopped by Count Velazquez’s mansion.
According to Isaac, the Langbert Mansion allowed Isaac to visit.
Heloise doesn’t know what caused that madman to accept.
She happily picked up Isaac and headed to the Langbert Mansion.
The butler that she met didn’t show any of the light of confusion that he displayed when Heloise one-sidedly decided to leave last week.
He had only greeted the two of them happily with the attitude of a servant welcoming Lionerik’s guests.
“As the Young Master started his preparations late today, I’d appreciate it if you could wait in the drawing room for a while.”
Heloise and Isaac nodded their heads.
But Zenon took much longer than she had anticipated. Bored, the two of them sat on the chairs in the drawing room and whispered to each other.
Just as laughter began to escape as their conversation was about to reach its peak, the door to the drawing room opened.
Zenon, who opened the door hastily, was smiling.
“Heloise!”
Upon spotting Isaac, that smile shattered like broken glass.
“What’s this?”
“Hello, Young Lord Lionerik. My name is Isaac Velazquez.”
“I didn’t allow something like this to enter my mansion.”
With an expressionless face, Zenon stared at Isaac, who had a slightly higher point of view.
With a stature as big as a bear, Isaac was bewildered and at a loss of what he should do.
Sensing that it was time for her to step in, Heloise stood up from her seat.
“Hello, Young Lord.”
“Heloise, what’s with this second-rate that’s around you today? Is it a new toy?”
“Please take care with your words. Isaac is my friend. I brought him in order to introduce him to the Young Lord.”
“You’re going to introduce this to me?”
“Would you be able to recall it if I said I’ve already asked for Langbert Mansion’s understanding?”
Zenon, who had temporarily listened to her words blankly, said “Ah,” before letting out a short groan.
It’s obvious. He must have roughly answered the servant’s question while doing something crazy.
Heloise pressed hard on the middle of her forehead and agonised over how she should go through this absurd situation.
Isaac, who could have been quite affronted, was the first to deal with this situation.
“It seems that there must have been an error in communication. I apologise for the sudden visit, Young Lord Lionerik.”
“……”
Isaac apologised first, but Zenon didn’t respond at all.
With a sullen expression, he arrogantly followed.
“I would have only called for Heloise Lorca.”
“I–I’m sorry.”
“I can’t believe this.”
The seat quickly became a thorny cushion.
If Zenon had a milder personality, it wouldn’t have been a problem, but since he treated Isaac as an uninvited guest flagrantly, an uncomfortable silence descended upon them.
However, Zenon opened his mouth with a frown, perhaps because he didn’t intend to watch the situation without doing anything.
“So, you also want to become my playmate?”
“If Young Lord Lionerik allows me to.”
Isaac gave an amiable smile and tried his best to soothe the atmosphere.
Zenon, who was watching that appearance quietly, let out a snort.
“Alright. There’s nothing that can’t be done.”
“Is that alright?”
Heloise could see the butler patting his chest, his tensed face now relaxed.
However, the fishy smile that was on Zenon’s mouth has yet to be erased.
“What’s there that can’t be alright? However, today’s game will be decided by me.”
“What?”
Just then, Heloise, who had been watching silently, stepped out.
‘Isn’t it obvious what that human would do?’
She was about to shout her disapproval, but Isaac stopped her and answered first.
“Of course. Feel free to make your choice, Young Lord Lionerik.”
“Isaac!”
“Even if it was unintentional, I did commit a breach of etiquette towards the Young Lord, so I would like to concede on this, Heloise.”
Isaac had definitely heard of Zenon’s personality, so he couldn’t have been unaware that Zenon was currently behaving nastily on purpose.
However, Isaac seemed to have made his own resolution, and took a step forward with straightened shoulders.
“Instead, leave Heloise to rest. What do you think?
“Do as you please. The event will be hunting. The person that catches a better prey wins.”
“Alright.”
Heloise didn’t have any more time to dissuade him.
Zenon told his servants to prepare hunting equipment.
“Heard that? We’ll be hunting from now onwards. Make preparations for two people to go hunting in 30 minutes.”
After saying that, he didn’t seem to have any intention of changing into hunting gear from the way he crossed his legs arrogantly.
‘This isn’t it…’
Although Heloise didn’t think that they would get along together even if Isaac came along with her, she didn’t expect for a competition to unfold.
The only fortunate thing was that she didn’t have to participate in it.
Those two seemed to be considerate of ladies, but she wanted to bluntly ask if they could play with toys obediently and kill time, instead of being considerate.
Time passed heartlessly without exceptions for anyone, and less than 30 minutes later, news that the hunting preparations had finished was conveyed by the servants.
Heloise was suddenly seated on a soft cushion under the shade of a parasol held up by a maid, watching the two hunt.
Although the sun shone brightly, it wasn’t that hot due to the parasol’s shade.
However, her expression gradually stiffened as she felt burdened by the finely embroidered cushion placed to elevate her knees and the servants that awaited for an order with a fan in hand.
Noticing this, Isaac waved his hand in a wide motion.
“Don’t worry, Heloise!”
Perhaps due to her complexion that had been pale since earlier, Isaac reassured her with a confident tone.
Heloise didn’t know how she should answer, so she waved her hand awkwardly and made eye contact with Zenon, who was looking at her.
He looked at Heloise quietly without saying a single word.
From his gaze, waving at Isaac had become a very bad thing for some reason, so Heloise, who was easily startled, lowered her hand sneakily.
At that, Zenon turned his head and muttered.
“Let’s start.”
“No, the Young Lord should go first.”
“Me?”
The corner of Zenon’s lips twitched, and he smiled.
“Would that be alright?”
“Of course. But you shouldn’t use magic as we are hunting.”
Isaac often showed a shy appearance in front of Heloise, but he originally had a magnanimous and confident personality.
Moreover, to Isaac, it was a matter of conscience rather than competitiveness to yield the turn to the sickly young master, who was not only pale from always being stuck in the mansion, but also a little shorter than Isaac.
“Who doesn’t know that?”
Perhaps the person that’s listening heard his words twistedly, and with a fleeting smile, Zenon seemed like he wouldn’t reject his favour, placing his foot in the stirrups and getting onto the horse in a rapid motion, before collecting the bow and arrows handed over by the servant.
He then held the reins tightly and started off in a gallop.
After a moment, Isaac also rode on his horse and directed his horse in a direction that’s far from the direction Zenon left in.
On the other hand, Heloise agonised over who she should pretend to be cheering for.
Although she didn’t particularly want to cheer for them, it felt like she had to pretend to cheer for one out of the two, Zenon, the successor of Lionerik who was outwardly supported by her father, or Isaac, her friend that came along with her.
As she gulped down the tea, one of the servants following behind the two youths called in a loud voice.
“A prey was caught!”
At those words, Heloise was surprised and her shoulders flinched slightly.
“It’s Young Master Zenon!”
The first person to catch a prey was Zenon.
He had only pulled the string on his bow once and shot down an eagle, the king of predatory birds.
Without wasting arrows, the eagle’s chest was penetrated cleanly.
The eagle that fell onto the floor was as large as the upper body of an adult male.
As such, the servant had no choice but to drag the prey over.
Dark brown feathers scattered in the air along with the sound of thud of the bird dropping to the ground.
In the meantime, while seated on top of a horse, Zenon’s gaze down at the prey was indifferent.
Perhaps becoming anxious as Zenon managed to hunt a prey too easily, the sound of a series of arrows being released could be heard from Isaac.
Then, all of a sudden, the sound of a beast’s shriek could be heard.
“This side has also caught a prey! It’s a wild boar!”
Isaac caught a young boar.
After Isaac caught a prey that’s better than a bird, joy flickered across his face instantly.
Just as Isaac, who released three or four arrows in a row, directed the horse forward to check the prey.
A large wild boar that seems to be the mother of a young wild boar ran over and crashed into Isaac’s horse.
“Gasp!”
At the same time, the hunt ended in a mess.
Isaac rolled off the back of the horse and fortunately fell into a pile of soft bushes, preventing any mishaps from occurring.
“Isaac!”
Heloise, who was seated underneath the parasol and watching the situation, got up in an instance and shouted.
“Are you alright?”
Falling off a horse! The problem was that he nearly lost his life.
When Heloise, surprised that the servants helping him over approached, Isaac’s neck turned red and he pushed her away.
“I–I’m fine, Heloise.”
“You just fell off the horse!”
“But I didn’t get seriously injured except for chafing my inner thighs.”
Isaac moved his arms and legs, trying his best to show Heloise that he was fine.
However, his condition didn’t seem well due to his red face and the creaking body.
Heloise’s worried gaze was still present.
At that sight, Zenon’s gaze turned chilly.
