HP’S PARALLEL WORLDS - Chapter 3
Having ascertained that the other party would be able to take him away from the orphanage at will, with complete disregard for his own wishes, by simply using the power of magic, Vincent nodded his head, having concluded that his departure from the orphanage should not pose any danger to himself.
Having achieved her goal, and having allowed the flying cranes to return to her coat pocket, Violet quickly opened the door to the reading room and led Vincent to Hetty.
Ignoring the children of the orphanage who were unhappy that an unattractive child like Vincent had been chosen and not themselves, Hetty simply followed her young master’s request and left the orphanage with two people by her side, following the flow of things that had already been agreed upon.
“How should we get to where you live next?” With a small bag containing all of his few possessions, Vincent had in fact made plans to leave the orphanage for good if things went well.
“There’s nothing wrong with using muggle transportation, but we really don’t need that kind of trouble.” Today was not supposed to come here by bus with Hetty, and Violet in fact favored the magic world’s fast travel method, Phantom Shift, over the troublesome bus or subway.
Reaching out and clutching Vincent’s wrist, she then led him, with a confused face, into the very dense grove of trees along the road, and Violet then allowed Hetty to reach out and pull them both in one hand.
“Well, then, we’re going home, Miss Violet.” There is no need to carry a wand like a wizard, so you can’t do a phantom shift. Hetty, the house elf, moved to Violet’s current residence with the two children around her in the blink of an eye.
Feeling only that he was squeezed into a very thin tube, followed by the experience of suffocation and vertigo, while once again landing on both feet, Vincent, after his first experience with this form of magical travel, did not throw up like many others, but was unsteady on his feet, and thus almost fell over.
Having prepared a plastic bag for the other man and reaching out to help him when he was about to fall, Violet was glad that he didn’t throw up at least, so the bag didn’t come in handy.
“Using magic for travel, while indeed convenient and fast, but this experience is too bad.” After placing the small bag containing all of his possessions on a table, Vincent found a comfortable chair and sat down at Violet’s greeting, not eager to find out what part of England he was in at the moment, but simply to survey the building he was in.
Situated in the open countryside, this two-story building, owned entirely by Violet, was nothing out of the ordinary, just a commoner’s home.
The colorful roof tiles that have long since ceased to shine, as well as the exterior walls that have faintly peeled off in some places, this country building that is covered in many parts by climbing plants, and its internal structure is nothing special.
After just moving here, the study was immediately set up as the most important room in the whole house, and Violet not only owned a large number of magic books, but also a lot of very precious magic instruments.
From her grandmother, she had inherited a stone basin with Rurounian symbols carved on its edge.
“All right, all you want to know about your mother, we can go inside this stone basin to see clearly. So next, let me add the first memory to this stone basin!”
Vincent was invited to take a seat at the dining room table, and then went upstairs by himself to fetch the meditation basin that had been placed in the study, while Violet brought down several crystal bottles and carefully examined the small labels on each one.
The memories in the crystal bottles, like liquid light and semi-solid wind, were the reason why Violet had gone to the orphanage to contact Vincent.
After opening the first bottle and pouring the memory inside into the meditation basin according to the label on the crystal bottle, Violet then tugged Vincent and entered the memory in the stone basin with him, and such a memory, in fact, belonged to Violet’s Meiwa mother.
Shelley, this is the new surname that Violet has after crossing over to this magic world. As a very old magical family that had given birth to many outstanding male and female witches, the Shelley family, owned by Violet’s father, was unfortunately a dud.
After accepting that he hadn’t inherited any of his parents’ magical abilities, Mr. Shelley gave up the idea of truly integrating into the magical world.
Because he did not have the ability to perform magic, he chose to integrate into Muggle society, but Mr. Shelley was regarded by his father as the biggest shame and scandal of the entire family because he was an alien in the family, and was looked down upon by his sister and younger sister.
Want to actively learn the Muggle way of life, and with the Muggle survival skills to start their new life, Mr. Shelley but because of his father’s contempt for Muggles and low opinion, so encountered great difficulties and obstacles.
It was only with great difficulty that he escaped from his father, who had tried to imprison him all his life, and entered Muggle society. Mr. Shelley never imagined that he would once again have any connection with the magical world when he had already made up his mind to find an ordinary person to marry.
When Violet’s mother met Mr. Shelley, Mr. Shelley had already escaped from his own home. Only, even if he had no talent for magic at all, Mr. Shelley was still able to judge that the beauty that appeared in front of him was not a human but a Meiwa.
In essence is not a human, but a magical creature that can transform into a human form, Meiwa is able to use their innate magical power to make themselves have amazing beauty.
The long waterfall-like hair, even without wind, can also fly in the back of the head, Meiwa as a magical creature that can easily compel ordinary humans, so that these men have a variety of crazy ideas, once provoked, they will throw away their human appearance, return to the original posture as birds.
Able to attack the enemy by throwing fireballs, Meiwa in fact does not always marry humans, but only a small percentage of them, willing to show their true hearts, and humans to develop a heartfelt relationship.
In this life for the first time to see his future wife, indeed by the magic of the Meiwa compulsion, Mr. Shelley but quickly came to his senses, and does not intend to have anything to do with each other. Only, his unilateral avoidance and refusal, but could not stop Violet’s mother to his budding great interest, so almost a few years later, the two of them became a loving couple.
After learning that her husband was a dud who had managed to get rid of his family, and learning how much importance Mr. Shelley’s family really attached to blood, Violet’s mother never thought that Mr. Shelley, who lived in the Muggle world, would never encounter the pursuit from his family in his future life as well as house arrest.
Even if her son did not have the ability to perform magic at all, she would not allow him to live like a muggle. Mr. Shelley’s father, if possible, wished that his son had never been born, so that their magical family, which had been passed down for hundreds of years, would not be such a laughing stock.
“Your father obviously did not have the means to integrate into the world of magic, and your grandfather simply did not allow him to enter the world of muggles to live, so after your father and your mother got married, your grandfather, who never gave up on recapturing his son back, became the one to beat up the couple, didn’t he?”
After entering the meditation basin with Violet, the image he saw was of Violet’s parents arguing about whether they should be together or not, and Vincent was able to deduce, with little effort, how Violet’s parents had met, known and loved each other based on such an informative conversation.
From this conversation, it can be inferred that even if they were prepared for all the difficulties and trials they might face after they were married, they would not be able to succeed easily, and Vincent can even infer directly how Violet’s old-fashioned and stubborn grandfather would have felt about his daughter-in-law.
“Yes, you’re absolutely right.” I was very happy that Vincent was able to adapt so quickly to the magical means of viewing other people’s memories with a meditation basin, as Violet had more than just her mother’s memories on her hands.
