I Am A Notorious Hidden Boss In The Alternate World - Chapter 332
“Boss, are you still coming?”
“What?”
Shortly after hearing Albion’s reply on the phone, Maverick Cohen immediately knew that he had forgotten the meeting.
“The meeting, Boss… Everyone is here and waiting for you to show up… Are you still not coming?” Maverick Cohen asked wryly from the other side of the call.
“Ooh… The meeting…” Albion finally recalled the forgotten matter before he replied, “Of course—No, it’s perfect. I needed to see you guys anyway.”
“I’ll be there shortly. Wait for me,” Albion ordered.
“Understood, Boss.”
Beep.
…
Shortly after the call ended, Maverick Cohen placed his phone away with a wry look while everyone at the conference table threw him questioning looks.
“Did he just say, Boss? Young Master Albion, our Boss, is back? This is great news!” David Seymour’s eyes immediately lit up.
With the Dark Lord’s strength, rescuing his family members in Stillwater city would not be a problem, that is, if the Dark Lord is willing to his hand.
“Isn’t this great, father? It seems like Stillwater city’s problem will be resolved soon enough,” Klein Seymour remarked.
Many core members expressed their joy after learning of the Dark Lord’s return.
Even though Albion had never done anything for the Blackthorne Group and only issued orders from time to time, his presence granted the core members great assurance.
This all stems from his absolute strength.
As such, there were all looking forward to meeting the big boss.
Furthermore, there were many internal and external issues that Blackthorne Group’s core members were forced to put aside due to the big boss’s absence.
They will definitely take this chance to address them all.
It was a chance they didn’t want to miss.
“Haiz…”
Maverick Cohen silently sighed.
His plan to shock everyone with the big boss’s appearance at the meeting had all gone to ruin as everyone ended up finding out before the big boss’s arrival.
He could only settle with their present reactions.
…
…
…
Meanwhile, Albion stored the pill cauldron and pill bottles in his storage space before he glanced down on his clothes, soaked in his sweat.
‘After a shower and change of clothes,’ Albion immediately decided.
Since he already made the Blackthorne Group wait a whole hour, it wouldn’t matter if they had to wait a bit longer.
…
Fifteen minutes later, Albion stepped out of the bathroom, refreshed and dressed in a new set of black clothes.
In fact, all his clothes were black and simple, just the way he liked them.
He was a basic bitc—ahem, never mind the last point.
Shortly after looking for Fenriri, he found her cultivating on the mansion’s roof outside, making full use of the Spirit Gathering Formation.
“Riri, I’m leaving for a bit,” Albion informed.
Fenriri’s eyes immediately snapped open before her figure blurred from the spot and appeared in front of Albion after hopping down quickly.
“Master won’t be taking Fenriri along?” Fenriri inquired.
“Not this time,” Albion shook his head and said, “I need you to stay back and guard our home from petty thieves that may come to steal.”
“Oh…” Fenriri was disappointed, but she quickly shook her head and gave Albion a solemn answer, “Fenriri will do her best to guard the home!”
“Good, I’m counting on you.” Albion patted her.
Anyone with a little bit of sensitivity to spiritual energy would have noticed its movement by now.
He wouldn’t want people taking advantage of him in his absence.
“Alright, I’m leaving.”
After leaving his parting words, Albion took off into the sky with a single step, flying towards the city’s central district according to the GPS tracker on his phone.
It didn’t take long before Albion landed in front of a black building that seemed to have been reinforced with Phantasmium-transformed material.
“This is the Blackthorne Group’s headquarters, huh? It seems like they’ve invested quite a bit into it,” Albion rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
The sheer amount of Phantasmium put into the building was not something the Blackthorne Group could have afforded nor procured on their own.
“Polemos definitely funded this.”
“Halt!”
Shortly after entering the building’s main entrance, Albion was quickly surrounded and stopped by a group of security guards in black suits.
“This premise isn’t open to the public! Please leave, sir!” one of the security guards barked.
Albion gave them all a sweeping glance and didn’t find anyone familiar before casually asking, “Have you seen my face before?”
“No!”
The security guards answered with frowns.
“Then you better start getting used to it,” Albion nonchalantly stated.
An invisible force immediately shoved the security guards aside before Albion casually strolled to the elevator and took the lift.
“Stop! You can’t go up there!”
The security guards wanted to chase after Albion, but they couldn’t overcome the mental force blocking their path like an indestructible wall.
However, they eventually gave up and stood on the spot with frozen expressions after hearing Albion’s following words.
“You won’t know how you die if you offend your boss without recognizing who he is.”
Shortly after the elevator doors closed and sent Albion up to the top floor, the invisible suppression lifted from the security guards.
“Sh*t, that was the boss…?”
“Probably…”
The security guards sweated.
“It would have been nice if we were given a heads up when the boss is coming.”
“Actually, we did get one… But the appointed time was an hour and a half ago…”
…
…
…
Albion shortly arrived on the top floor and located the conference room with his crimson eyes before casually strolling over and entering without hesitation.
The voices of dissatisfaction quickly entered his ears, but they quickly died down upon his entry.
“Dammit, how long do we have to keep waiting? Is the boss coming or not? We’ve been sitting here for nearly two hours, yet we haven’t even held a single discussion of importance!”
Mayor Enzo sat with his back facing Albion as he made his complaint.
However, he quickly noticed everyone’s silence before he frowned asked with doubt, “Why did you all go quiet?”
“Are you dissatisfied with me?”
Albion’s indifferent voice suddenly sounded beside the middle-aged mayor and caused him to jump with fright.
“What the…!”
