I am Late so I am the Villain? - Chapter 9
As soon as Yucal arrived at his chamber, he summoned Norton, his personal escort knight.
“Did you call me, Prince?”
“I’m heading to Riya Lisburn’s place tomorrow.”
“What? My Prince, did you mean where Prince Seir Brian’s wife, Riya Lisburn, lives?”
“There’s a baby dragon there.”
“No, is that true?”
Norton responded with astonishment.
“That’s not all. The mother I killed earlier had a golden mark on her forehead. It was subtle, but it bothered me. I’ll hunt down that jerk and make sure he’s out of breath.”
“Do you want me to go and get it done?”
“No, I’ll go on my own.” Riya Lisburn, you conduct a background check on her. Her eyes show that she is no longer the foolish woman she once was. She could be hiding something, so keep a watch on her.”
Yucal sat back in his chair, lost in contemplation, when he finished speaking.

“Quang, Quang,” says the narrator.
When she heard a loud noise early in the morning, Riya opened her eyes wide.
Then she noticed a little creature strolling in front of her.
It was the size and shape of a chick, the color was dark green, and it was so adorable and gorgeous that it had wings the size of a finger.
With rhythm, the baby dragon frequently trotted around in front of her eyes.
“Aww, how cute!”
Riya recalled the baby dragon she named Quangi the day before, held the green baby dragon, and kissed its lovely forehead three times.
The bright yellow eyes irritated her, but seeing such a little critter reminded her of a hamster she had raised in her previous life.
“Madam!”
Miryu came in at some time and froze when he saw this scene.
“What sort of nasty beast is this? A hazardous disease might be spread, thus get rid of it as soon as possible!”
Surprised by the sound, Quangi leapt up and trembled into Riya’s arms.
“Don’t do that, Miryu. Quangi is scared.”
Riya reprimanded Miryu while kissing Quangi on the small of its back.
The baby dragon’s bright eyes twinkled whenever Riya kissed, but Riya didn’t notice.
“Madam, you must first eat. Put down that filthy beast and wash your hands first.”
Miryu let out a sigh and shook her head.
Cream soup and fried chicken wings, a fruit salad and rye bread sandwich, steak with roast potatoes, smoked duck meat, and raspberry cream cake were all on her cart.
Riya smacks her lips when she sees appetizing dishes.
“The breakfast I eat alone is a feast, and you mentioned Prince and Elijah’s meal is more magnificent than this.”
When he smelled the meal, Quangi, who was in her arms, squirmed.
Mryu reached out to capture the baby dragon, but Riya intervened and offered Quangi warm rye bread.
“Do you want me to give you a bath after breakfast, Quangi?”
Quangi, on the other hand, kept his mouth shut and shook his head.
Riya inquired with a motherly grin, which was also adorable.
“Why? You don’t seem to be hungry.”
Quangi fluttered up his tiny wings and eagerly dived into fried chicken wings when he was questioned nervously.
“Quangi?”
Riya’s mouth widened in astonishment.
The chicken wings, which had been stacked up for a time, appeared to vanish without a trace in an instant.
Quangi was blissfully cuddling on an empty plate.
“What the heck is going on here? What happened to all those chicken wings?”
Miryu, who had gone outside, rushed in, gasping for breath, and Riya tilted her head in astonishment.
“Madam! Come on out!”
“Why? What exactly is going on?”
“Well, Seir-nim has extended an invitation to you for breakfast.”
“What? Me? At that magnificent feast?”
Miryu grabbed Riya’s arm as she rolled up the hem of her dress and attempted to flee.
“Do you know what seat there is, Madam?” It’s a breakfast spot where Madam Elijah is dressed up in various outfits. What are you doing in this wrinkled gown? You still haven’t had your eye boogers removed.”
Miryu took her into the dressing room, where she was clothed in a pink gown and her hair was beautifully styled.
Riya Lisburn has a lovely face when she dresses well, but nowadays she is unconcerned about her appearance.
Riya was so engrossed in her writing that the dark rings around her eyes turned black, and she turned into a complete raccoon.
Rather than this, Miryu returned her madam to the one who was just obsessed with her beauty. Because it was difficult for Miryu to adjust to her current madam.
“Quangi, I’m going to eat something more delicious, so you can eat everything here. Okay?”
Riya kissed Quangi’s small forehead once again.
The baby dragon then stared at her, fluttering his wings and moaning with joy.
She wished she could squish the filthy green chick-like baby dragon, who was burying his snout in a dish and devouring the things on it.
*****
Riya’s eyes widened as she approached the prince’s private dining room after going through the spacious corridor.
A big marble table was spread out in front of him like a meadow, and on top of it were various dishes she had never seen before.
The meals, which were placed in a gleaming silver bowl, were so vibrant that they could scarcely be swallowed.
She didn’t see Seir and Elijah were gazing at her while she was distracted by the beautiful meal.
“Riya, why don’t you take a seat?”
Elijah, who couldn’t take it any longer, murmured quietly and with a false grin on her face.
Only then did Riya raise her head and make eye contact with them.
Seir, dressed neatly in a suit, sat in the first row and smiled at her.
Elijah was flaunting her lovely figure in a floral outfit that was far too colorful for the breakfast table.
Riya only comprehended why Miryu bothered about her clothing after seeing Elijah’s.
Riya lacked beyond Seir’s first wife in many ways.
She gave them an uncomfortable smile and sat down hastily. Because it was a seat far away, the maids were perplexed and wondering what to do.
“Wife, please sit close to me.”
Elijah’s expression darkened as Seir motioned to Riya.
Riya, on the other hand, shook her head in dismay as she prepared to eat with a fork.
She was going to devour the salad in front of her since it looked so good.
Seir winked at the maid next to him when he spotted it. The maid then dashed out, placing a salad dish on a silver tray and pulling out the seat next to Seir.
Riya had no option but to go to Seir’s side and sit.
‘What the heck is going on?’
She was taken aback and chuckled on the inside. Elijah was on her husband Seir’s left side, while her seat was on her right.
‘What a wacky seating arrangement. Doesn’t it appear to be a three-piece set?’
But Riya was starving, so as soon as she sat down, she began devouring the salad.
In comparison to Riya, who eats salad without raising her head, Elijah poked a little cherry with a fork, wiped her mouth with a handkerchief, and drank only herbal tea.
She then turned to face Riya, who was furiously eating. Then she noticed Seir had stopped eating and was looking at Riya.
Elijah’s fingers, which were clutching the teacup, trembled in an attempt to suppress her rage.
Isn’t this the contrary of what it was?
Riya Lisburn was furious in the past because Seir only glanced at Elijah, leading Seir to be annoyed with her.
“Well, our Lady Riya, you’ve got a big appetite today.”
Seir, who gave Riya a playful smile and even addressed her as “Lady,” dragged the salad dish in front of him to Riya.
Elijah, who couldn’t contain her rage at the time, pinched the maid standing next to her. The maid shuddered, suppressing her painful cries.
Seir’s movement, bringing the salad dish to her, caused her to put down her fork and gaze at him.
Seir felt his heart burn as her gorgeous face with purple wavy hair and light purple eyes turned to him.
‘That was how she looked.’
The attractive purple canary who shyly expressed her love two years ago, her appearance when they had recently married piqued his interest.
However, it was only her appearance, and as she entered the residence, she displayed her claws and became the embodiment of envy.
‘She used to follow me wherever I went and was fascinated with me, especially because she couldn’t tolerate the sight of Elijah with me, so she had to take some mental illness medication.’
But the glum and anxious Riya Lisburn of the past has vanished.
Rather, Seir was irritated that she didn’t look at him, and he was energized by her brilliant appearance, in which she behaved freely and without hesitation.
“How come you’re staring at me like that?”
When Riya, who was eating salad, inquired in an irritated tone, Seir found it endearing and made him chuckle softly.
Her eyes were gorgeous because she was engrossed in eating regardless of who was around, even with salad sauce around her mouth. Seir would have wanted to lick it with his tongue if Elijah hadn’t been around.
Just suddenly, the royal attendant dashed forward and yelled.
“Prince Yucal Brian has arrived!”
Seir sprang to his feet as he heard the words.
This was the country where the brothers’ hierarchy was most firmly established.
“Hyungnim, you’ve arrived.”
When Yucal came with stunning golden hair, all the servants held their breath.
His mere presence seemed like a bright sun rising in the dining room.
Yucal’s emerald eyes sparkled and dropped to Riya, who was standing close to Seir.
And Riya, who was ready to eat a big tomato with a fork, hastily turned her head to Yucal.
“A cup of warm chamomile tea.”
Yucal sat down after a brief conversation with the maid who had come hurrying to serve him.
However, it managed to be just next to Riya.
Riya grew unsettled when she was stuck between Seir and Yucal.
‘Obviously, I’m going to have to eat the salad I’ve been eating.’
She was concerned about Seir, Elijah, and Yucal’s stares, but she completed her meal and stood up boldly.
Everyone couldn’t help but be puzzled.
It was not only impolite to stand up in front of Princes who had a higher status than her, but it was also a crime punishable by death if done by a commoner.
“I’m not feeling well. I’ll get up first.”
A quick-witted Riya noticed something heavy and quickly added, licking the sauce around her mouth with her tongue.
Three people’s gazes were drawn to her back as she attempted to exit the dining room entrance.
Seir suddenly yelled as though he remembered just as she was about to go.
“Why don’t we go for a stroll this afternoon, Riya? Leave the time free.”
Charlson, who was ready to walk inside to present the morning report, stopped right there. And he noticed Elijah’s expression had been twisted by Seir’s abrupt proposal.
Elijah gritted her teeth to protect herself from the shock, but her cheeks became crimson and tears welled up in her eyes.
Charlson’s eyes blazed like knives as he charged at Riya. His blazing eyes indicated a frantic intent to kill her right immediately.
‘Oh my God!’
Riya shook her hand, drawing up the hem of her dress as she met Charlson’s furious gaze.
The contents of the script, which she had just examined again, came to her at the moment.
Charlson, an honorary knight who would offer his life a hundred times over for Elijah’s sake.
‘According to the script, while Seir’s heart turned away from Elijah and toward Riya, Charlson was axing the waist and head of a sleeping Riya Lisburn for the sake of Elijah. Crap!’
Riya hastily exited the dining room, her head turned away from Charlson’s stare.
Seir was staring at Riya’s beautiful back as she ran out of the room.
Yucal, on the other hand, was gazing hard behind her with hawk eyes.
*****
When Riya entered her chamber, she went in search of the baby dragon Quangi to comfort her.
Even in her former life, she had a hamster to help her deal with her unhappiness
Quangi is more like a green chick than a dragon.
But he was nowhere to be seen.
There were just empty silver dishes where he was. He appeared to have devoured every last banana peel and chicken bone.
Miryu would have gone to the maid’s kitchen to eat, so he would have been playing alone, but she couldn’t locate him no matter how hard she looked.
“Quangi! Where have you gone, Quangi? Do you want to go on a hide-and-seek game with Auntie?”
Riya smiled softly and opened the curtains in her bedroom, eager to hear the adorable noise.
Then she almost fell back in astonishment.
She couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
She came to a halt in front of her bed, screaming.
“Kyaa!”
