I Became A God - 47 Alpha
“Master, what are you making?” Garrik asked.
Mutyx wiped the sweat off of his forehead. “Something that can take us ta tha city.”
After about ten minutes, Mutyx finished. Around him lay at least a thousand little pieces of divine mana and some significant parts. “Finally done.”
Garrik looked at the numerous pieces that lay around his master. “Master, what do you mean? How are these pieces going to take us to the city?”
Mutyx let out a loud laugh. “Watch. I haven’t assembled it yet.”
Mutyx started grabbing the pieces and started assembling the machine. The machine started coming together. Pieces turned into four legs, then a body appeared, and then two massive wings.
Garrik gasped. “Master, is this what I think it is?”
Mutyx didn’t answer and kept on assembling the machine. It didn’t take him long, and Mutyx finished assembling the device. In front of him was a massive mechanical dragon.
Garrik looked at the mechanical dragon with awe. “Amazing. I’m sure that you’re the only one that can make this.”
The mechanical dragon gleamed in the moonlight. Its mechanical body looked like it was made out of gold, but it was made of much valuable material, divine mana. It had deadly sharp teeth in its mouth and equally sharp claws on its legs.
“Ehh, I dinna know aboot that. Right now, probably, but given enough time, someone will be able ta make something like this.” Mutyx still wasn’t finished. He made the body, but he wanted it to move by itself, he wanted it to be alive.
Using enchantments, he enchanted the mechanical dragon, giving it an artificial soul. Mutyx also enhanced its body so it could be almost indestructible. Only a god could destroy this dragon.
Of course, Mutyx made a few rules when he created the artificial soul. It would always try to do what’s best and protect its master, which would be Mutyx.
To help out the artificial soul, he implemented the necessary knowledge and language of the world. He also made it so the soul would instantly know how to control its new mechanical body.
When Mutyx finished enchanting, the dragon came alive. Its wings started moving, its tail wagging. It moved around, its massive body, leaving footprints on the rocky ground.
“Wou’ ye look at that. It worked,” Mutyx said.
The dragon heard Mutyx and turned to look at him. “A-are you, my master?”

Mutyx nodded. “Aye, I be. Me name be Nutyx, tha God o’ Crafting.” Mutyx pointed at Garrik. “This here be Garrik, me assistant.”
Garrik waved his hand. “Hello.”
The dragon looked at Garrik, then back at his master. He lowered his head to the ground to show his thanks and loyalty to his master. “I am thankful for you creating me. I will serve you forever.”
Mutys was proud of his creation. “Good. Oh, I almost forgot ta name ye.” Mutyx stroked his beard as he thought of a good name. “Aha, I got it. Your name shall be Alpha.”
Alpha was happy that he got a name. “Thank you, master. My name shall now be Alpha.”
Alpha moved his body around as if he was born with it, even though he had just been born. His wings raised, a small gust of wind appearing.
“Alright. Alpha, for your first task, ye shall take me an’ Garrik ta tha floating city o’ tha ancient ones,” Mutyx ordered.
Alpha moved his head up and down, nodding. He had never nodded before, but for some reason, he knew that it meant saying yes. “Understood, but I don’t know where this floating city is.”
“Don’t worry about that. I’ll lead the way. I just need you to fly us there.” Garrik said.
“I can do that. Master built me for this reason,” Alpha said with a proud expression. He lowered his metallic body to the ground, so Mutyx and Garrik could get on. Suddenly, mechanical sounds were heard, gears turning, and Alpha’s back changed.
Alpha’s usually sleek and aerodynamic back changed into a saddle for two people. The seat was even soft, so the riders’ would have a comfortable ride.
“Wou’ ye look at that, it worked.” Mutyx made his way over to Alpha, climbing on his back and sitting down on the saddle.
The saddle was brown, decorated with golden features.
Garrik was once again amazed at what his master did. His mouth was open with awe as he looked at Alpha.
“Come on! What be ye waiting for?” Mutyx asked.
“Oh! Sorry.” Garrik approached Alpha and climbed on him, being careful not to fall. He sat on the second saddle, right behind Mutyx.
“Ok, where do I go?” Alpha asked Garrik.
Garrik looked around as he rubbed his chin. Outside of the mountain range, he saw a vast green forest. “Hmmm, go that way,” he said, pointing at the forest.
Alpha looked at the forest and nodded. He lifted his body, standing on four legs. Gusts of wind appeared as Alpha flapped his wings, trying to fly. His big and bulky body lifted into the air as he waved his wings.
Alpha flew upwards at a fast rate. Very soon, he arrived at the clouds. Even though this was his first time flying, it was like he had this body for many years. He turned his body to the forest and started heading in its direction.
Mutyx let out a loud and long laugh. His creation worked, and there were no problems. He looked down at the ground, the trees so small because of how high they were.
Unlike Mutyx, Garrik couldn’t laugh. Even though he knew he wouldn’t die, it was still scary to be so high up. If he fell, he would regenerate everything, but he would feel all the pain. After a few minutes of flying, he began to enjoy it. He was still a bit scared, but he was getting used to it.
Garrik’s hair, and Mutyx’s hair, and long white beard flapped in the air as they flew over the forest with high speed.
“If we keep going at this speed, we’ll arrive in the city in no time,” Garrik commented.
