Ellena and I were just dumbfounded, looking at the status board that suddenly appeared before Ellena.. It was the most significant update, so it is reasonable why it happened.
However, the reason why we were dumbfounded was the description of the title. It was absurd to believe that such effects existed.
‘Aaron, should we think that I am becoming more powerful? I feel like if I take an assessment test for Titanium Rank, I can pass it.’ Ellena said through our connection with slight boasting.
I can feel it too. I feel like slowly, Ellena is becoming more overpowered.
As this news was starting to overshadow our plan, I couldn’t help but release a grin.

[Dreadful Legend]
A title that can make anyone afraid of you. However, it will only have a short time effect of 30 seconds. There are no conditions before activating.
Fear points are awarded at a rate of 200% for each activation.
As it is a secondary title, it will have a cooldown of 1200 minutes.

Ohoho! It was a voucher for a loot! It is truly amazing! I wonder if I can alter this my current condition.
I’ve been practicing opening some systems hiding in my soul, but I still have a long time before I can do it. But somehow, the efforts bore fruit. I can slightly peek at Ellena’s status board without her chanting it!
I thought it was useless at the start, but somehow, I am motivated to push further and see more results from it.
If I could alter the fear system in a more convenient way, I would do it. But of course, I will surely check if there are conditions behind it.
‘This is amazing. I can make anyone fear me without meeting any condition like the Cursed Child.’ Ellena remarked, and sort of returned to a calm state.
“Yeah. But somehow, I feel like we can do more. If we can find a monster or feared monster, and take its life, maybe you can get a new title from it.”
It’s not a possibility but a fact. I don’t even need to guess it, it will surely happen.
This is what you call exploitation.
‘Right. Let’s just think of it later. 078 take a halt.’
We returned to our senses and forgot about the amazing update in the meantime. Instead, we are looking at 078 and the other witches who have stopped. It had been 5 hours of travel and night was about to hit the sky.
078 gestured with her hands and faced a big tree with its roots covered with dried leaves. After waving her hands slightly, it moved, uncovering the roots which are apparently glowing.
She looked at her team, then slowly gazed at Ellena and Gero.
“We are here. Please unsummon your beast.” 078 said in a calm tone.
Ellena and Gero nodded, then climbed down from Cules. After standing on the ground, 078 and the rest started standing around the tree in a circle.
“Please touch the roots with us.” 078 asked which they obeyed.
I was curious. I am curious, rather. This seems like a magic ritual for them. Perhaps, another way to teleport.
“Please stay put. We will inject our mana into the tree.”
In the next second, bluish light started filling the air. It was as if a breeze had just passed through the group, and with it, the tree started glowing as well.
Starting from the roots, it reached the branches of the tree.
I should hold on to Ellena.
And just as I expected, it was a way of teleporting. However, in this case, the tree was with us.
I saw ourselves in a futuristic warehouse type of place. We are inside of a wide dome. The walls were made of metal, and the light came from the middle of the ceiling of the space.
There were also people walking around, but they weren’t into business with the tree that had just appeared. Well, it’s because there are other trees in this place.
The ground that Ellena’s group was standing on was dirt with grass.
In short, this is the headquarters of the secret magical society, which appears to be built underground or in a mountain.
“Is this an underground?” Ellena asked.
The rest nodded.
“I see…”
Gero was amazed by looking at the surroundings he was in right now. It was his first time looking at this futuristic layout. My theory is that other technologies are monopolized by those who have the ability.
It sucks that knowledge isn’t shared with everyone, but somehow I can understand. Knowledge doesn’t only bring peace, but also chaos. Where the heck are wars even started on Earth? It was because of their knowledge.
“Please follow me. We are about to make a report, and also the record for the new Blessed that might join us.” 078 said with open arms.
“Blessed?”
“Ah… I should’ve said this. But we are called Blessed since only those with black hair can store mana in their bodies.”
Right. That’s what I am talking about! If Ellena learns this, she’ll save more energy just to activate one type of magic!
“Why aren’t you suspecting me?” Ellena suddenly asked.
078 and the rest just looked at Ellena with nothing but perplexity. As well as Gero, he was confused why Ellena asked it.
“I am an outsider. And isn’t this careless of you?”
There were more rants after it, but Ellena was cut when someone arrived at the area. She was slightly older than the others. Maybe in his mid-twenties. And as usual for this place, he has black hair.
“Because it’s only us who can trust each other. We only live for ourselves, so why would we drive away those who are like us? We are rare and Blessed that the Temple was driven away.”
Ellena and I were stunned by what he said. I heard the number one monopolizer of knowledge when it comes to ability is the Temple.
The Temple is connected with this…
“What do you mean?” Ellena asked.
“The outside world is harsh. Do you think we don’t know it? You had your hair changed colors, so it means that you felt the prejudice of people towards those of us who have black hair.”
And as the guy who just appeared continued pronouncing some information, he suddenly appeared before Ellena.
“We are not protecting the outside world, because we are protecting you from the outside world. You came with them on a whim, right? I can see it. You are just after the knowledge, but we don’t care. In fact, we let others leave the base, but in exchange, if they come back again, they won’t be able to leave this place again. It’s natural.”
