I Became A System - Chapter 208
As the remaining human soldiers watched how brutally Ellena was dealing with the demon, they could only leave their mouths open. It was a breath-taking moment where their lives finally paid the sacrfice.
When they remember their comrades, sorrow only drives their hearts. As they look at their bodies, tears can only come out.
“It’s finally over.” These were the words they could only pronounce at that time.
Ellena settled into the body of the demon and burned it to a crisp. She then looked at everyone, noticing the sorrow in their eyes as well as the guilt she felt looking at them.
If only she was early, they wouldn’t have died. However, Aaron’s words rung into her head, telling her not to shoulder the world.
‘But what can I do? Ever since I witnessed the outside world, and socialized with people, there’s inside my heart that tells me to keep them safe. Despite the fact that even I didn’t feel it, I want to give it to everyone.’
Ellena’s experience was different for her to build her personality, but it was outstanding as she was able to contain her anger to the evil.
Evil? Those who don’t do anything but astrocious acts. But, slowly, she realized that even if she did her best, humans were still humans. They will act as humans at the end of the day.
“T-Thank you for saving us,” a soldier said to Ellena.
Ellena didn’t make any sound, she just nodded then approached an injured body.
She cast a healing ability, different from the elemental magic she learned.
Her elemental magical abilities were only reserved as her spare cards, but still, she didn’t forget the importance of her abilities.
The body of the soldier she was healing slowly started closing its wounds. With this being seen by everyone, they were dumbfounded for a few seconds.
“Tell me where the other injured soldiers. Don’t move them.” Ellena ordered, everyone nodded and rushed to check every soldier in the battfield.
After some time, the soldiers went back with the number of injured people.
Ellena started approaching one by one, looking back at Emilia’s teaching.
There was a time when Ellena asked her about using her healing ability. Knowing that people’s conditions may differ every time they see each other, she was instructed to not move severely injured people.
Magic is magic. But it couldn’t bring back the dead, and thus, with it, Ellena inspected which part of the body was injured to properly heal it.
‘There were cases when harmful liquids entered a wound. I don’t know if this will work, but I hope that pushing my mana will kill them.’
Ellena started healing everyone. Even those who only had minor injuries, she healed them back to a normal state.
‘Isn’t she tired? She just fought and now she’s starting healing everyone?’
“Uhm… excuse me, we can take care of ourselves, so please take a rest first.” the leader of Class A said to Ellena.
“I’m okay. It’s still not over. I don’t know if someone will come to your aid.” Ellena insisted, didn’t even bother looking at the leader.
“I am Daniel. Leader of Class A, a Gold Rank party. I would like to show my thanks. So, please, take a break; perhaps you’ve already depleted your stamina from that fight.”
Ellena suddenly stopped and faced Daniel. She inspected him and noticed that he had a wound in his head.
“Hold right there.” Ellena said, then healed the wounds on his forehead.
Daniel was just flabbergasted at Ellena’s act then slightly moved backward in embarassment.
“I am Noelle, a White Gold Ranker. What happened here?” Ellena asked.
Everyone who was just silent made a doleful look. Everyone suddenly remembered the blood splattering everywhere.
“No. It’s okay if you don’t answer. So just don’t bother me with healing everyone. I’m still good.” Ellena said, then continued doing what she was doing without bothering anyone.
As Ellena couldn’t express her emotions with them, or even help them emotionally, what she could only do was help them physically.
Although she was slightly gloomy, her emotions weren’t visible to the people around her.

“I was thinking of stopping on getting more systems or even concentrating as my time perception was getting worse, but this is good.” Aaron mumbled to himself while inspecting the window before him.

[Looking for a magical sword?! We have C-rank and B-rank here!]
[Pills of Life only for 50 golds each! It’s a bargain!]
[Concetrated mana pill, 20 gold each!]

There were plenty of items sold and merchants that were calling for customers just on the first page of the window. Everywhere he scrolled, there were just merchants calling for potential customers.
Also, there was a profile picture at the leftmost item, which may have been a way to contact the seller.
He spent more time reading and inspecting some of the sold items. When he was finally over it, he clicked on his profile at the uppermost of the rightside.

“It’s a simple interface. I bet they didn’t think much of this one and focused more on being simple.”
When there was nothing more to check, he swiped onto the next page where the merchant page was. On this page, an account can sell any product to earn money.
He read all the contents then slightly smirked.
“It’s possible to make a scam here. Hahahaha!”
Aaron clicked on one button, then another window appeared before him. It was an inventory-like window where an item could be put. It was also used to check the quality and rank of an item.
“It’s amazing that I can sell anything here. I should start by selling Ellena’s materials that she doesn’t even use.”
Aaron closed the window then went back to the first page of the window. He looked for what was demanded and then came to a conclusion.
“They were more into growth related items and weapons… I think I can sell some of them here, like bestowing Delayed Blast onto an item with a magic circle. I smell more use of this.”
Then, he clicked on the search bar to search for an item he was thinking of.
[Demon Tracking Device]
It was just a try of luck if there was a possibility, but he wasn’t expecting that such an item existed. However, it is too costly.
“3000 golds? I still don’t know how much I’ll earn, but it’s good to know that there’s such a device existing!”
Then, he closed the whole window and breathed widely.
‘Let’s start by killing the demons.’
