I Became the Villain’s Trainer - Chapter 9
Chapter 9
“Baron Visten! Five people have already died. Thirty of them seemed to have some kind of sickness, and Sir Karrolf said that there may be a few more!”
Visten massaged his forehead. He didn’t know what to do with this manual in this case. It was because there was a low probability that a disease would occur in the Thersion Territory where healthy wolves lived.
“Did Sir Karrolf have said anything more?”
Because of the medicine, he made close to the divine level, Karrolf was able to inherit the title of the Viscount of Thersion. Regardless of their rank, the people of Thersion respected him.
The knight who received Visten’s question shook his head with a sombre face.
“Sir Karrolf said that he was busy treating the children, so more than that… the cause must be eliminated.”
“Sigh. What should we do about this?”
Visten massaged his throbbing head. The children of Thersion kept dying and finding medicine was the only thing he could do. He knows very well that the cause needs to be eliminated, but he doesn’t even know where to start.
Listening to their conversation, Alexa was different. They were eating lunch today outside. Since the weather was nice today, the maid recommended to Alexa that it would be better for her health to get some fresh air outside. The scenery outside was like a place that came straight out of a fairytale until a knight had come to deliver urgent news. Alexa gulped down her food and fell into deep thought.
‘This happened after all.’
It was Selina who solved the case back then.
The cause of the epidemic outbreak was simple: it was the lake in the small forest within the territory of Thersion. Due to the tectonic shift, the flow of the freshwater was blocked and became rotten. Not aware of it, the children of Thersion played and bathed near there.
The epidemic was caused by the viruses and bacteria that were parasitic in the rotten water; while the strong wolf-blooded children survived, the children who haven’t died. Moreover, Alexa remembered that the case was solved after prohibiting entry to the said lake for a while.
I wonder how on earth that kid, who didn’t even transmigrate, knew such a thing…
In any case, Alexa was given a way to solve this problem. Though it feels like a little bit of stealing what Selina was supposed to do…..
‘Selina isn’t showing up, so I can’t let the kids die.’
So Alexa put down the tableware she had been nibbling and slightly raised her hand.
“I… I think I can help.”
Visten and the knight turned their heads to Alexa.
“I read in the book that when problems like this suddenly arose, water was usually the problem. I think it would be good to research the places the children often go to. For example, the Thervisia Forest.” Alexa said with the most innocent expression possible.
“Thervisia Forest…? Thinking of that, there seemed to be a lake nearby. If it was a child of Thersion, they probably would go there to play….”
Visten nodded. It was because Alexa’s words weren’t any nonsense.
“Just in case, investigate the children and explore the Thervisia Forest.”
“I think it would be better if you bring a general practitioner or a biologist with you when you go.”
Alexa added little by little, and Visten repeated Alexa’s words like a parrot.
“Have a general practitioner or a biologist with you.”
The knight alternately looked at Alexa and Visten with a bewildered expression, then shook his head and left. When there were problems that cannot be solved, the intuitive thoughts of the children were often the answer. Alexa’s answer was a huge help even though she was just stating what she had read from a book.
Visten stared at Alexa in wonder.
Alexa protested bitterly, “I read it in a book, in a book!”
Alexa wasn’t telling a lie – because she was only eager to read how Selina solved the problem in the novel.

As Alexa had said, both the biologists and general practitioners pointed to the lake in the Thervisia Forest as the source of infection. From then on, work began to open up the waterway again along with the cleanup. This was possible since the lake was shallow and small enough for children to play. The fishy smell of dead fish on the rotten water reeked, but they were able to fix the problem before it gets bigger, thanks to Alexa.
This incident became an event that further satisfies Visten’s liking for Alexa. With this incident as an opportunity too, Thersion’s nobles along with the biologists expressed their opinions that it would be better to rearrange the estate at once.
“That is indeed a good idea, but how do we get it done?”
“Thersion is developed, but in fact, it wasn’t a very hygienic place – because that’s the way wolves live. They’re a race that can wrap themselves around a rotting fish.
“Then what would you like to suggest?”
“I also have no idea…”
“You must have lived outside of Thersion first.”
“Uhm. If you go to that system, don’t the streets smell good, there’s no trash and no filth? That’s what I’m trying to say.”
“So, how?”
They couldn’t come up with an answer because the same beasts were gathered and arguing around the table. Although Thersion was a big territory, it didn’t feel like a well-organized city. This was because few humans wanted to set foot in Thersion the stronger the wolves instincts are, except for the high ranking officials that came and went. Especially when people needed to come to the capital, they often frowned and covered their noses.
Thersion Castle is cleaned every day, but the stench of the streets gets worse as the weather gets warmer. But, they don’t know in any way how…
The nobles, including Visten, sighed deeply. However, he couldn’t open the gates of Thersion to invite experts from outside when the Master was away. That only means that it has to be resolved within the territory….
Visten didn’t know why Alexa’s face kept popping up in his mind.
‘If it’s Alexa…’
Can she know the answer to this?
The wolves’ rudeness and extraordinariness were often demonstrated even at times like this. Visten did not find it strange to depend on children and seek knowledge – because knowledge and power are not proportional to age.
“Why don’t we ask Alexa?”
“If it’s Alexa… wasn’t she the one who helped us this time?”
“Besides, doesn’t she have a close relationship with our Little Lord?”
“Didn’t you say that she was a human child?”
“That’s why she was very weak. Please treat her with care.”
The wolves reacted harshly. But, even though that wouldn’t last long, Visten was able to bet all of his wolf whiskers – because he did it too.
(T/N: About the last sentence: because he did it too = reacting harshly towards Alexa)
Visten eventually got everyone’s consent to invite Alexa to their meeting. Of course, that wasn’t immediately possible – because it was Alexa, Ysildus, and Terrun’s nap time.
The nobles thought that the subject of this nap was ‘Ysildus’, so they didn’t dare interrupt and will have to wait. However, Visten and the servants of the castle thought differently. Considering Alexa’s health, immunity, and growth, taking a two-hour nap a day was very important.
Alexa would often claim that she was all grown up at the age of 15, but she was only a little under 10 years old in terms of wolf age.
‘Alexa wakes up around three o’clock, so we can start the meeting again by then.’
Visten shook his head. For that reason, the meeting, which started at 11 o’clock, was suspended and revised again at 3 o’clock. Only then the Thersion’s vassals could meet the famous Alexa.

‘They need my help?’
Even in the novel, she remembered that they often go to Selina when she solved a problem once. This time around as she followed a roughly similar line, she thought that she could understand why Visten was looking for her.
The maids were fussing and choosing Alexa’s ribbon.
“Won’t this yellow one look good today? Since your dress is also yellow.”
“This kid really. Throw away that stereotype that yellow should be paired with yellow; this while lace ribbon is perfect!”
“Is it? Then what about the shoes?”
“Shoes… let’s go with a mix of yellow and white.”
“Great.”
The maids started dressing Alexa up after they finished discussing. Actually, Alexa couldn’t tell where the lace outfit was different, but the maids were serious. They chose Alexa’s dress considering the lace texture, thread type, colour, and even the shape of the frills.
At first, she refused but the maid told her not to do that since it was their job – they were even begging her not to! So now, she’s getting used to it a bit. They braided Alexa’s hair, rolled it up into a circle, and tied it tightly with a lace.
“Kyaaah! You are so cute!”
“Indeed, I was right. Look at this, Miss Alexa! You looked so pretty, right?”
