I Bit Everyone and Became the Strongest Zombie Cultivator - Chapter 181
At least two and a half hours later, I came back to the Red Sea Auction House with barely enough gas in my tank. I was tired, too tired, but I pushed myself and decided to brute force my way through the day. I couldn’t miss this crucial event since I have to hoard treasures for the betterment of the Tang Sect.
But then again, I already have enough treasures in my storage ring and some of which I haven’t even taken out yet. Well, they might prove useful later on when the time comes. Also, hoarding cultivation materials and items would do me good if ever I meet a formidable opponent. He won’t even know what I have in my arsenal.
Once I got to my usual seat, Ye Zhiyun and Shi Meili stared at me with a bit of pity in their eyes. I didn’t know why so I just ignored them.
“Master, you missed a lot of Spirit Beast Qi Cores on sale.” Ye Zhiyun continued.
“Yongrui, you only gave at least a dozen Spirit Beast Qi Cores to Red Sea’s Shelter Leader, right? He sold hundreds of Platinum and Titanium Rank Spirit Beast Qi Cores and some of them even fetched a whopping amount of 2000 gold coins. You also missed out on a lot of Essences and Pills that would help you a lot in your cultivation.” Shi Meili whispered.
“Really? How about the two of you, did you get anything?” I asked, pretending to be surprised. I didn’t want to tell them that most of those items came from my storage rings since they will be utterly surprised.
And one more thing… doesn’t that mean that I have at least 500000 Gold Coins now? I mean, those Essences are so rare that they must’ve cost at least 500 Gold Coins each. Now that’s a lot of Gold Coins… and it’s a good amount of funds for Tang Shelter. Nice!
A grin formed on my face as I suppressed a chuckle from coming out of my mouth. If I were alone in the room, I would’ve lifted up my hands and laughed like a demon lord or something but right now, I maintained my composure as the next segment of the Auction. It’s almost over so they must be releasing the next set of priceless treasures soon.
The moment I looked down, however, Shen Rong saw me and he immediately excused himself. A few seconds later, he was rushing through the door like a battering ram. “Yongrui, how was she? Did you save her?” Shen Rong panted in an overexaggerating manner. Having run a short distance like that wouldn’t make a cultivator of the Dao Realm get tired at all. What is he playing at?
“Yes, she’s fine.” I simply answered as I extended my hands towards him. “How much did I earn?”
Shen Rong rummaged through his pockets and pulled out a piece of paper. It was the inventory I gave him a few hours ago. Previously, it looked sleek and clean but now, it’s all crumpled with a lot of writings. I skimmed through the prices and saw that Shen Rong carefully listed the final price of all the items.
All in all, I’ve earned about 655000 Gold Coins, much to my surprise. And just to make sure, I went to Shi Meili and Ye Zhiyun to reconfirm if the prices listed are accurate. They nodded.
While I did that, Shen Rong just smiled at me as if he was proud of his work. Of course, with that amount of money, anyone would actually make sure that the final prices of everything are accurate. I mean, that’s a lot of Gold Coins!
“As I said before, twenty percent of my Gold Coins will go to the Red Sea Shelter since they’re hosting the auction,” I said.
Shen Rong smirked as he handed me a storage ring. After scanning it, I realized that the Storage Ring contained 590000 Gold Coins. “Shen Rong, I think you’ve miscalcula— ”
“Our Shelter will just be taking ten percent just like everyone else. You’ve done too much for everyone here and although it’s not that much, I hope that expresses my gratitude towards you. And also, you’re the sole reason that this year’s auction is the best one so far. I hope we can continue the good partnership between Tang Shelter and my Shelter.” Shen Rong cupped his hands.
“Thanks a lot, instead you can have this. I kept this for you.” After putting the Storage Ring in my pocket (It had the same white and blue color just like my SilverWing Storage Ring), I accessed my personal Storage Ring and handed a Spirit Beast Qi Core to Shen Rong.
“It’s a Spirit Beast Core of a Titanium Rank Red Blood Eagle.” I simply said. I didn’t have to explain anything else since the Red Blood Eagle is a pretty common type of Spirit Beast. However, it’s rare to encounter a Titanium Rank Red Blood Eagle, that’s why they are priceless. If this were to be sold in the auction, it would’ve cost more than 3000 Gold Coins…
And adding to that, this Red Blood Eagle is not really of the Titanium Rank, it was actually beyond Titanium Rank but Shen Rong wouldn’t believe me if I were to tell him that. The knowledge about Spirit Beasts beyond Titanium Rank is not yet commonly known. I didn’t want to alarm anyone, especially the Shelter Leader of the Red Sea Shelter.
“Please accept it. This is a gift from a Sect Master to a Shelter Leader.” I said.
Shen Rong gulped, swallowing his pride along with his dry saliva. After a moment’s hesitation, he extended his hands and received the Spirit Beast Qi Core of a Titanium Rank Red Blood Eagle with both hands. It’s as if I handed him a piece of earthenware that would crumble to pieces at a slight disturbance. “Thank you, I will treasure this forever. With this, I won’t have to worry about other Shelters that would try to invade the walls of my Red Sea Shelter. And with this, I hope our alliance with the Tang Shelter would solidify even more. If your Shelter ever needs any help, we’ll be the first ones to come rushing at your aid no matter how impossible the task is. This is a very difficult promise but I can vouch for my words.”
I cupped my hands as well and slightly bowed my head to signify that I sincerely accept his words and promises. “No, it is my pleasure. I hope you will continue to treat me and Tang Shelter well.” I continued.
After bowing a second and a third time, Shen Rong exited the VIP Room where I was in and the auction continued.
“Yongrui, you have to take a look at this.” Shi Meili called out, pointing towards Ling who was presenting the next item.
“This item is called Boundless Calligraphy. I’m sure every one of you knows how priceless this treasu— no, this artifact is. It has existed since ancient times and those who wield it. Unfortunately, only those in Transcendence Realm or above can use it. But! If you’re in the Ancient Realm or Dao Realm, it wouldn’t hurt you to try. After all, Master Ling, who is absolutely not related to me, managed to use the Boundless Calligraphy when he was in the Dao Realm.” Ling announced. After extending his hand and showing the calligraphy pen to everyone, he carefully set it down on the table.”
The Boundless Calligraphy is a calligraphy pen that is well-known throughout the world. After all, there’s only one of it. After tracing my Qi Energy towards it, I was able to prove that the Boundless Calligraphy was the real deal. In haste, I shot my hand upwards. I only noticed it now but the number on my sign was 7, the number of completion.
At first glance, the Boundless Calligraphy seemed like a normal pen. It was made out of ivory and blue jade was engraved on its sides. It was the most luxurious of pens, and equally powerful. Provided that you have the right ink for it, you can even write a cultivation technique on your own and record it on a piece of special paper from a Papyrus Plant. By imbuing the right ink with Qi Energy, you can write your cultivation technique and everything you’ve learned and discovered on paper. If someone were to feed those writings with mana, they can easily access the cultivation technique and learn it in an instant!
Think of the Boundless Calligraphy as a type of hard drive, the ink as the files on that hard drive, and the paper as a type of computer. Writing on the paper with the ink is like transferring files to a computer and after that, anyone can access the file. I know computers are a thing of the past but that’s the most accurate description I could give when it comes to the Boundless Calligraphy.
Now back to the auction.
Usually, when it comes to auctions, if the highest bidder raises his or her hands, the others would be too intimidated to raise theirs so they wouldn’t do it. But right now, even though I was the first one to raise my hands, a dozen or so buyers also raised theirs. Two of which were the Sect Master of the Immovable Mountain Sect, and Shi Yanmei, Sect Master of the Meili Sect, and my famous master.
I smiled inwardly. As my gaze and my Master’s met. She might very well be one of the richest cultivators around. “This would be a great bidding,” I said to myself.
Ye Zhiyun and Shi Meili cluelessly stared at me but I ignored them. Right now, I have to use all I can to buy that pen.
