I Bit Everyone and Became the Strongest Zombie Cultivator - Chapter 225
As far as I can remember, I do know that my parents both came from the Tang Clan. Also, the fact that both of them were hunted down by the Yan Clan is proof enough that they’re both from the same clan. And just to clarify! They may be of the same clan but their lineage is different. That means they’re not cousins or siblings for that matter. Even I don’t condone such a practice, never.
“Yongrui, this is not the time for jokes… you should get out while you still can. I’ll try to outrun them as much as I can. And if I die, just remember that it was in no way your fault. I died because I was weak, that’s all there is to it.” The Quetzalcoatl said.
“Look, Yinghua, do you think I’m kidding right now? You could read my mind, right? Now tell me, am I lying or not?” I said as I healed her faster. I was getting rather impatient and I could feel the barrier becoming weaker and weaker as seconds passed. There’s no time to lose. It’s either we form a contract right here right now, or we die together by the hands of the Flying Meatpiles… or should I say, their gross mouths… whatever, we’re dead anyway.
“You’re not but… ” The Quetzalcoatl trailed off, then she shook her heads. “Fine! If what you speak of is the truth, then I’ll gladly take the risk. If by a small chance you’re lying, however, both of us will instantly die before the contract is even formed… ”
“Once the barrier is down, we’re dead anyways… don’t you think it’s worth the risk? Or would you rather die by the hands of these gross creatures?”
“No way!”
“Let’s for a contract then… how do we do it?”
“It’s not that complicated, Yongrui… we just have to sync our thoughts together and meditate on each other’s presence… once you felt mine and I felt yours we can— ”
“Just put it in simple terms! We don’t have much time, Yinghua!”
“Yinghua? That’s the second time you called me by that name… that’s not my name.”
“I already gave you a name so the contract forming would go smoothly. I didn’t want to die while trying to name you, you know.” Yongrui continued.
“Right… so, what I meant to say is… we just press our foreheads together and try to detect each other’s presence! That’s how simple it is.” She responded. I could see in her eyes and expression that she was becoming rather finicky. Of course, in the face of two literal moving piles of meat, who wouldn’t feel that way?
Without further ado, I pressed my head against hers and focused on her presence as I would my cultivation. In a split second, I detected a woman with phoenix-like eyes that had the shade of black and red. Her fair skin was like ivory and her slender legs proportionately matched her curves. Am I seeing my ideal type of woman? What on earth is happening? Is this some sort of a hazy dream?
“That’s me, Yongrui… now focus. I can almost see you… you… you’re not human? Why? What happened?” Yinghua asked in a gentle and condescending voice that I almost felt bad for myself.
And then the strangest thing happened. One by one, her memories appeared in my head and I’m assuming all my memories also appeared in her head as if it were some sort of film. It didn’t even take a whole minute for me to know Yinghua’s entire life.
Apparently, all Quetzalcoatl’s were separated from their parents as soon as they were born and they undergo a series of trials. If they managed to pass all of them, then their parents would then welcome them back to the clan and grant them a name based on how they performed on the trials. As it turned out, Yinghua right here was going through her trials when the Yan Clan took over the entire Higher Plane. With no place to return to, she was banished to the Middle Plane where she would eventually die because of the lack of Qi Energy there. I don’t know how she managed to survive all these years… probably because she was young compared to most Quetzalcoatl’s… or maybe she just had to survive no matter what.
In any case, if it weren’t for her banishment, she would’ve been one of the strongest Quetzalcoatl’s. Even with the minimal Qi Energy in the Middle Plane compared to the Higher Plane, she still became the strongest Mythical Beast to ever exist here. That’s speaking a lot in a sense that she literally is at a disadvantage and furthermore, this is not her home ground.
“Yongrui… I— I’m sorry I didn’t know.” She continued. “Your parents… they were— ”
“What do you mean?” I asked in an instant, wondering why she had to bring up my parents. Did she see something in my memories? Perhaps she saw everything that transpired since I was born. Did she? If that were the case then I had to hear everything from her.
Something clicked in my head and the System gave me a notice.
<Notice: You have successfully formed a contract with the Mythical Beast>
<Would you like to grant her a name?>
<Yes/No>
After going through the process of confirming her name, Yinghua suddenly disappeared in front of me and an orb of light flew towards my head. I suddenly felt a connection with her, giving me the urge to beckon her to my side but I held it off. She would only be exposed to danger if I were to summon her right then and there. And also, the barrier that I put up is slowly disappearing.
I clenched all my muscles and activated my Berserk Skill, Virus Madness Skill, Rage Skill, and other skills that I deemed useful for combat. Although I already depleted most of my Qi Energy in healing Yinghua, I knew I could still use these skills and wait for my uncontrollable berserk skill to take control— that would be the last resort. I hope it won’t get to that point.
Then the barrier disappeared. As soon as it did, I made a break for it.
“HALT!” Someone yelled aloud from afar.
