I Cant Miss - Chapter 119 Military 4
For the next few weeks we repeated our training methods as everybody started to finish their workouts little by little, some people were a little slower than others as some people were faster than others. Eventually, everybody was able to finish and do the workouts without getting tired. They had to give me extra training due to my stamina but they had no idea that whenever I went to bed at night the pain would all assault me at once which allowed me to just pass out right away from soreness but the next day I’ll be just fine to go again.I had no choice but to go even with the soreness and the pain I just pushed through as I knew the other guys were in more pain than me. The first week was just terrible for them as some of them had a hard time getting up in the morning, even Bob had pushed the wake up time to 5 am instead of 3 am which we were all grateful for.We all started bonding as a team and thinking of each other as brothers. Bob could be seen with me on the next exercise which was assembling and disassembling snipers and guns since I’ll be dealing with them. I graduated from the training and now we had to get into the technical side.I had to sit in class while they taught me so many things since I picked the career of engineering, sometimes I would have to go into the workshop and mess around with small gadgets. After a week the others came into the classroom too and they all started learning in their respective fields since they had finished their training. They were so happy that they didn’t have to run around the island anymore until the next day they found out that they still had to work out but this time at a minimum. Bob did not want them to slack off after finishing the classes.I had started to practice shooting, Bob had set up targets from a far distance, at first it was close and he noticed that I was not missing a single middle target, as I shot right in the middle every single time. Bob looked at me weirdly and said: “do you ever miss”? I shook my head and said, “nope that’s why I was a basketball player I never miss”.This caused Bob to laugh as he said okay let’s do something more challenging as he started pushing the distance further and farther away. I still was not missing, at one point he had to push me all the way to the top of the mountain and set up a target a little bit far off into the sea.Everybody saw that I had shot it without missing it, they were all shocked, but as soon as I had finished that training for the day and I got dismissed a message popped up in my mind.Upgrade! Shooter…I said “yes” because I knew that it was official I was a shooter and I was never going to miss a target, then I thought about what if they assign me to kill people will I be able to do it. I didn’t want to think too much into it but looking at it and I’m religious even though I’m killing for the country will my soul damned if I kill people this was kind of way.I wanted to ask Bob about it but wasn’t sure if he was a religious person, I myself wasn’t too much of a religious person but I’ve never killed anybody before and wondered if it would be okay. I put the thought in the back of my head as I had been forced into this situation so I knew that the Lord will know that I had no choice but to do that.Time skipA month later we were finally all graduating as we were wearing black suits with a few medals put on us. Bob shed a tear saying “my little kids have graduated and become grown men now” we all looked physically fit and looked a little mature as I had grown some facial hair now.We had our chest up and chin’s held way up high, we rocked the elite uniform pretty well as we thought man we were about to go to war. Bob said that we have a week before we are deployed into the Frontline of the war for some important business so we should enjoy this time but we should not stray off the training otherwise we will lose our edge.We shouted YES SIR BOB!!!!! at the same time while saluting him as he saluted us back and dismissed us. We all yelled with happiness as we threw our hats saying we graduated. Bob shook his head and said, “these guys are still kids”.We went to celebrate as the meal this time was not a potato soup and a loaf of bread but they had upgraded it to clam chowder with a loaf of bread. I was happy that we had at least upgraded our meals as we had potato soup for the whole month. I was so pissed off and guess who had to peel all those potatoes? that’s right I did due to being so fast always finishing my training quicker than the others.I was sick of potatoes but I had no choice but to eat it for that whole month. We didn’t really know what to do in order to celebrate as we didn’t have any alcohol or beer so all we could do is just hang out and play some flag football. My team always dominated, I wish they had a basketball court on this island but they didn’t have one so we had no choice but to use the football that Bob had brought along. My throws as a quarterback were still flawless as my team won every time. If I was about to get my flag taken when I was running the ball I would freeze time and slowly avoid taking the loss.Everybody was annoyed that they had never been able to take me down as they would do rock-paper-scissors to figure out who would be on my team every time. I laughed when I saw this as it was quite entertaining even Bob’s assistant had joined us in the game’s at one point.
