I Got Transmigrated into a Horror Game Instead - Chapter 6
“There is something here.”
“Call someone to lift the stone.”
Evelyn ordered the servants who had followed them to call the others. Rachel saw Henry through the screen. He was still confused.
The four men, who soon came down to the basement, followed Evelyn’s instructions and lifted the large stone from the floor and set it aside. When the stone was removed, a black stone was revealed beneath it.
A magic circle was engraved on a flat stone. Enoch poured the holy water he had with him on the circle. The sprinkled holy water soaked the engraved magic circle along the grooves on the floor.
“Based on its shape, it’s a devil summoning circle that kills a sacrifice drawn with its blood.”
The servants murmured at Priest Peace’s explanation. This was because the words “devil summoning circle” sounded ominous.
“Break it.”
Evelyn immediately ordered the servants to destroy the summoning circle.
“Would it be okay? Catching the curse…”
“There are two priests here, what are you afraid of? It is more dangerous to leave it as it is, so destroy it now.”
The servants were afraid, but when they heard that the two strangers were priests, they raised their pickaxes high.
They struck down the summoning circle with the pickaxes they used to lift the stone, and Enoch began to pray.
A bright light began to emanate from his body. At the sight, the servants were relieved and broke the stone with the summoning circle on it.
Not long after, the summoning circle was destroyed to the point that it could not be recognized.
[Risk rate: 74%]
Rachel clenched her fist. It was the first time she had seen the risk drop this much.
‘As expected, calling the priest to the mansion was the answer!’
“That’s all Miss Rachel mentioned, but just in case there’s more you don’t know, let’s take a look around the whole house.”
After that, Priest Peace scanned the entire mansion. After moving all the way from the basement to the third floor, she said that there were no more problems.
“But aren’t there a lot of rats?”
Perhaps because he saw a pile of rat carcasses in the yard, Enoch first revealed his doubts.
Rachel nodded her head silently. She returned several times, but she couldn’t get used to the rats.
The number of mouse holes in the mansion increased, and two years later, the number of mouse holes increased to the point that it looked like a pattern.
‘There were a lot of mouse holes in the game too.’
In the game, the mouse hole on the second floor was the same size as a sewer hole. If you drop the key, the key would fall into the mouse hole.
You had to go around the room looking for a skewer and poke through the holes in the hallway to find the key again.
‘There are monster rats in the basement too.’
Rachel rubbed her shoulders as she recalled how she was bitten to death by a giant rat during one of the death endings in the game. Exterminating the rats was definitely the right choice.
“Let’s catch all the rats!”
“We will.”
At Rachel’s words, Evelyn nodded her head in affirmation. It was a natural reaction for anyone who saw what was under the rose bush today.
“Miss Rachel, come this way for a moment.”
Priest Peace called Rachel to a corner. Wondering if she had something to say to her alone, Rachel walked over and her hand was suddenly grabbed.
For a moment, her fingertips tingled.
“Hush!”
Priest Peace gestured at Rachel to be quiet.
Priest Peace took her blood. She pricked her finger with a small needle, squeezed a large drop of blood into a small bottle.
Rachel was perplexed. However, it wasn’t the first time Priest Peace had done something like this.
When she went to the shrine in round 6, she had her blood taken during a conversation. She assumed that she was doing blood tests back then because she was so new to everything, but now she knew.
Blood tests could not be done with their current technology.
“What are you doing?”
Rachel whispered softly. Evelyn and Henry were talking. In other words, the two were not aware of this. If Rachel wanted to let her know, she could.
“Priest, tell me exactly why you had to take my blood.”
Priest Peace didn’t expect Rachel to be so firm so she glanced at the side where Evelyn was.
“You don’t want to tell mother, do you? I’ll keep it a secret, so please.”
Rachel didn’t want to miss even the smallest clue. She had never doubted her uncle, Paris Emporus, until round 13 when she was hurt by him.
There was no guarantee that the priest in front of her would always be on her side.
“It’s difficult to say right now, and I’ll let you know when sister isn’t around.”
“You’re not going to just ditch me right?”
“I don’t want to tell sister Evelyn about this.”
In that short while, they agreed to a decision. Evelyn approached the two.
“What are you two talking about?”
Rachel saw the restless Henry behind her mother.
“I was telling Miss Rachel that she looks exactly like Sister Evelyn when you were young.”
“Rachel looks like me. But that’s not the case with her personality.”
Perhaps she didn’t like being told that her daughter looked like her, so she smiled while waving her hand.
“It’s already this time. It’s a bit late now, so how about going back tomorrow?”
“Should we do that?”
“I’m glad I told them to prepare the dinner in advance.”
“I hope you can rest in the guest room until dinner is ready. You’ve been moving ever since you got here right?”
Following her mother, Henry proposed that Priest Peace should rest. He instructed the maid to take the two guests to their rooms.
“Then I’ll see you at dinner.”
Priest Peace and Enoch disappeared after the maid. Evelyn looked at Rachel and said.
“You too must have been shocked today so why don’t you get some rest? What will you be doing, honey?”
“I have some work to do.”
Thus the family went back to their own rooms or study.
If only Rachel and Henry had not met in front of Priest Peace’s guest room.
“You said you had something to do, didn’t you?”
Rachel’s amiable relationship with Henry ended in round 10.
In round 6 she was still hopeful and she tried to do well, but in round 10 where she saw that he easily made a decision to lock her up, she realized that she didn’t have to look good to Henry anymore.
“Why are you here?”
“The priest took my blood without mother’s knowledge. I wanted to ask why.”
At Rachel’s words, his forehead narrowed slightly. Rachel looked at him and narrowed her eyes.
“It must have something to do with father, doesn’t it? Actually, I’m suspicious of uncle after seeing the cursed mediums.”
“Stop making thoughtless assumptions. My brother has treated you well!”
“It’s not thoughtless. You saw what I found today, right? I didn’t tell mother, but in one of the futures, uncle is one of the reasons I’m going to die.”
Then, a sound of the door opening was heard. The two quickly turned their heads towards it.
“You two, sister will find out if you keep chatting in the hallway. Would you like to come into the room?”
Rachel and her father entered the room at the words of Priest Peace.
“First of all, let’s answer Henry’s curiosity. The results just came out!”
He shook his hands in panic after what Priest Peace said.
“No. After Rachel leaves…….”
“Curiosity? Did it have something to do with getting some of my blood?”
“Yes.”
Rachel raised an eyebrow. Perhaps she can figure out why her father was so cold to her.
“Mr. Henry, Rachel is your daughter.”
Priest Peace waved a small bottle of liquid, presumed to be blood.
“Of course I am……!”
Rachel spit out, then turned to look at her father’s face.
“Did father think I was not your daughter?”
She was convinced by the look on his face. What she had just said was true.
She then understood everything. The reason Henry was cold to her was because he thought she was someone else’s daughter.
Rachel closely resembled her mother, Evelyn. There was no denying it which meant…..
“Ha, father, you thought mother was unfaithful!”
It was so ridiculous that Rachel burst out laughing. Henry couldn’t refute his daughter’s words and closed his eyes tightly.
“No, how the hell could you even think that?”
Rachel rebuked Henry and shook her head.
Is it possible that he got his hands on black magic because he had such absurd thoughts?
In this world, it is believed that when a person dies, they would go to God’s side. Ordinary people do not think that they should revive the dead.
However, Henry could not accept Evelyn’s death and thought that she could be revived by his medical techniques, so he experimented with the human body, and finally got his hands on black magic.
They were ideas and actions that could not be done without having gone crazy.
“Wow, really.”
Rachel thought it was so ridiculous that her words didn’t come out well.
Henry looked relieved that his long-cherished doubts had been resolved, but soon he began to read her face.
“I will tell my mother about this! Ah…… Mpf!”
Rachel tried to run out of the room and call Evelyn, but she was caught by Priest Peace. Her mouth was shut and her body was seized.
“Miss Rachel, I know you’re angry, but don’t tell sister. She would be sad to know that her husband was suspicious of her.”
Contrary to the harsh actions, she spoke softly.
No, isn’t that unfair to me? Rachel turned her head behind her and appealed to her with her eyes.
Her mother was suspected so she thought she must let her know, but the priest told her not to.
“For peace in the family.”
‘You really are like your name.’
“I want sister Evelyn to always be happy. You’re not going to tell her are you?”
Looking into those pale brown eyes, she couldn’t resist. Rachel nodded her head, imagining all kinds of curses in her mind.
Only then did she let go of Rachel. Her eyes curled like a crescent moon towards Rachel.
“Miss Rachel is a very kind child. By the way, Mr. Henry, why did you doubt sister?”
Her gaze shifted from Rachel to Henry. Her eyes, which had been curved, turned ferocious. The man flinched and avoided Priest Peace’s eyes.
“That is…….”
“That is?”
As she questioned his words, the priest looked at him with tenacious eyes.
“No daughter was ever born to Emporus.”
Rachel’s mouth dropped open and she couldn’t close her jaw.
‘What kind of b***sh*t is this?’

T/N: I guess this explains why in one of the rounds, Henry was suddenly nice to her on their way home. He found out that she really was his daughter.
