I Hate Systems - Chapter 1093: Robin Hood Of Secrecy
“Do the lot of you really wish to die?” Technocraft stared at the over dozen Genre Representatives that had converged before him, acting as a line of defence between him and the System World.
“Genre Representatives cannot die,” Fluff winked at Technocraft, drooling over his muscles, “You’ve become hotter than before.”
“Of course,” Technocraft felt a headache as he didn’t even hesitate; the world-devouring beast he had transformed into unleashed a tiny star that exploded, generating energy fields turbulent enough to destroy worlds in the fraction of a second, “I’m a star!”
Supernova!
Technocraft condensed the laws regarding the creation of a Supernova from dozens of worlds and even inserted a minor Concept into it, creating an attack that was effective against all sorts of enemies.
The Supernova vaporised Fluff and most of the Genre Representatives. Only Phantom and Immortal were alive.
But a moment later, all the Genre Representatives returned. The body of a Genre Representative was just an energy-condensed form similar to Zaira. Its destruction was just a minor loss in energy.
And for a Genre Representative, that loss of energy was nothing. Even if they were killed a billion times, nothing would happen. Only if the laws forming their worlds were destroyed would they be affected.
But as a fellow Genre Representative, Technocraft didn’t wish to do that. He only intended to deal with the Systems.
With a snort, Technocraft rushed forward as thousands of serpentine heads jutted out of his form and swallowed anything in their sight. The world-devouring beast’s body was capable of digesting even laws.
So, even though Technocraft couldn’t kill Systems, he could digest all the energy that formed their bodies, resulting in their economic loss. As long as the System World becomes bankrupt, it wouldn’t be able to maintain its function and implode on its own.
Boom!
Martial stared helplessly as the sword he condensed melted while everything below his neck had been swallowed by a serpentine head, ‘Technocraft is strong!’
“I hope I survive this.” The Harem System trembled in fear as it arrived at a point in System World from where it could stare at Technocraft’s fight.
The System World had developed enough that it basically encompassed the entire universe it was situated within. Both the world and universe were one entity here, shaped more like a Realm than a planet.
And having arrived at its edge, the Harem System prayed, “I am bored of this world. If only…I could be like a Hero of the legend and go on an adventure…”
Honk!
Its wishes summoned the sole entity that acted as a gateway towards a different world, one beloved by the natives that were aware of his existence.
Truck-Kun!
The Harem System stared with a widened gaze as two headlights closed in on it. Moments before it was slammed into, the Harem System let out a smile, ‘I guess, with this, I’m no longer related to the Systems.’
Boom!
The truck crashed into the Harem System, transmigrating it to another world. The truck didn’t stop though as it rushed through, heading for the barrier, intending to leave the System World as soon as possible.
“What the heck?” Zaira was alarmed as she disconnected her communication channel with the Fate System and hurried towards the location where she sensed the arrival of Truck Kun.
“You dare enter my world?” Shouting in rage, Zaira erupted with a Grade 3 Core Skill, intending to cause ruin to Truck-Kun.
Cheat—Aegis!
A five-petalled shield manifested above the truck and tanked the attack. It cracked and shattered in the process but only after expending all the energy within the attack.
Just before the truck crashed into the System World’s barrier, its door opened as a child, barely three years old got down, almost tumbling while landing on the forested floor of the System World.
The child got up and clenched his hand into a fist and condensed a spear, his eyes emitting a chilling killing intent, “Hello, Zaira. It has been 38,771 years since we last met.”
Cheat—Gungnir!
The legendary spear brimmed with a suffocating stench of power, causing the trees in the forest to rot. And with a shout, the child launched it towards Zaira.
“Shit!” Zaira was alarmed as she hurriedly condensed hundreds of barriers before her, staring at the spear in rage, ‘How the fuck did this collective consciousness return in Mascot? I ensured that world was crippled!’
Among the Isekai Worlds, there were plenty of dangerous ones. The System World had been cautious towards them and had invested a lot of Mental Energy to gradually turn the protagonists of such worlds into System Hosts and eventually swallowed their foundation.
And once they became weak enough, their collective consciousnesses were buried deep within Mascot, leaving the weaker, indecisive ones to take the rein. But now, one of the fearsome collective consciousness had emerged.
The spear that struck its mark flew through the forest skies and phased through the barriers as if they didn’t even exist and struck Zaira, puncturing through her Energy-Condensed body. Like glass, her body fractured and began to rain down fragments as she shouted in confusion, “How? How did you return?”
…
“That’s the spirit! Keep going!” Compass Carburettor blew a whistle as thousands of Grade 1 Systems—each selectively picked for the cause—rushed into a world and dissolved themselves.
The moment their Hosts died, their System Bodies began to vaporise. The world naturally began to assimilate them and devour their foundation. As a result, its weakened laws became strengthened enormously, allowing it to instantly reclaim its original foundation.
Each Grade 1 System conformed to a lost law respectively. And the place their Hosts died was exactly where the weakened law was the most functional. As such, the world not only regained its lost foundation but even became a tad stronger.
Immediately, the resultant collective consciousness within Mascot awakened as it travelled forth from the bottom of the barrel and returned to its rightful place at the peak. Seeing the success, Compass Carburettor smiled and vanished, “There’s plenty more where that came from.”
“Grade 1 Systems are the best. I can easily turn them into members of Secret Society.”
…
“Why?” Hearing Zaira’s shout, the child, Mascot grinned as he condensed a sword that emanated a beam of energy that reached the skies, cracking it.
“You…stop!” Zaira shed her damaged energy-condensed form and created a new form, intending to stop Mascot. But before she could launch an attack, it was too late.
Followed by a leap, Mascot brought down the sword on the universe boundary of the System World and cleaved open a finger-sized crack, one through which an eyed-tentacle of Technocraft gushed inside.
Cheat—Excalibur!
