I Have A Computer in my Brain - Chapter 48
Chapter 48: Blue Dragon’s Suggestion
“Good, punk. You have succeeded in angering me. I have decided to grind your bones into powder, one at a time, leaving behind a lump of rotten flesh for Lord Song.”
Blue Dragon’s expression looked cold like ice that could not be melted. His left hand pressed onto his right shoulder blade hard, and the blood flow quickly stopped. Then, he threw his pulse gun behind him and languidly walked towards Lin Yun.
Lin Yun slowly stood up and asked solemnly, “Are you the reserve mecha warrior that certificate is referring to?”
Blue Dragon did not mind despite being aware that Lin Yun was trying to drag the time. With a sneer, he commented, “Dragging the time will only cause you more pain. Are you hoping for help to come to the Demon Race’s territory? I will tell you since you wish to know. That’s right, I’m a reserve mecha warrior!”
Suddenly, Blue Dragon roared. “F*ck reserve mecha warriors! I studied for 10 years and have always remained as a reserve, a spare tire! I can use a mecha to defeat 10 reserve mecha warriors, and yet, I cannot become an official mecha warrior. This is the so-called ‘fairness’ of the Human Alliance! One cannot become a mecha warrior without any backing!”
Lin Yun stared cautiously at the rampaging Blue Dragon. After some thought, he inquired coldly. “What secrets would the Mecha Warrior Assessment hold? There must be a reason why they did not convert you to become one.”
Blue Dragon’s roars stopped. His expression became icy as he said self-derisively, “Reason? They said that I’m psychologically unfit and will drop my guard easily when I become agitated. This is the bullsh*t reason they gave! However, they were not wrong. After all, I did end up losing my right arm because I was caught off guard by a Level 4 worm.”
“F*ck that!” Without any warning, Blue Dragon’s figure disappeared.
Danger!
Lin Yun tilted slightly to the left subconsciously. Blue Dragon’s left fist had already landed on him.
Boom! Rumble!
The entire building quavered, causing dust to fall from the ceiling. Lin Yun discovered that a huge hole had formed on the wall beside him as a result of Blue Dragon’s punch. Cracks extended in a spiderweb-like fashion across the wall.
“Is this the strength of a reserve mecha warrior? Then, just how powerful would an actual mecha warrior be like?”
Lin Yun was alarmed, and Blue Dragon used that opportunity to grab his neck and lift him from the ground.
Fast! Too fast!
Blue Dragon’s attack speed was far beyond Lin Yun’s reaction!
“Since young, my dream was to become a mecha warrior. In order to increase my strength, I became a star pirate, undergoing life-and-death trials to train myself. All for the sake of becoming a mecha warrior. Yet, they ignored my strength and made me stay as a reserve because of a stupid reason!”
Blue Dragon threw Lin Yun on the floor and shouted, “It’s useless! My strength is that of an actual mecha warrior, not of some reserve!”
Lin Yun’s body landed on a person. When he sensed the softness of the body below him, he realized that it was Ma Li.
Ma Li had made use of Blue Dragon’s distraction to secretly cut open the rope binding her. She had picked up a pulse gun, in hopes of sneaking an attack on Blue Dragon from behind. However, given Blue Dragon’s Level 6 Spiritual Strength, he had discovered her actions.
Lin Yun and Ma Li crashed together and fell onto the floor. Lin Yun swiftly reached out, took the pulse gun from Ma Li’s hands, and aimed at Blue Dragon.
“Boing!”
The pulse beam pierced through Blue Dragon’s body until it hit the wall behind, creating a spiderweb crack.
However, Blue Dragon had mysteriously disappeared. That gunshot had only hit his illusion.
Lin Yun suddenly felt pain in his chest, forcing him to swiftly fly backward. His back slammed heavily onto the wall behind him.
“Kwang!”
The impact shook the entire wall. The items hanging on the wall, including that certificate, fell onto the floor.
Lin Yun’s enhanced vision actually failed to catch up to Blue Dragon’s speed!
Blue Dragon’s figure appeared beside that certificate. Staring at that fallen certificate, he declared coldly, “The pulse gun in your hand cannot kill me, just like how you cannot become a true mecha warrior simply because you can control a mecha warrior. Since you aren’t able to capture my movements, you cannot cause me any harm.”
“Unable to capture your movements? That’s not necessarily true!”
Lin Yun grunted coldly, a smile gracing his lips. “5 minutes is up.”
Stacking Art, Sensory Elevation!
His surroundings instantly became high-definition. Lin Yun could even hear the sound of Blue Dragon’s heartbeat, as though he had gained full control over Blue Dragon’s body.
Blue Dragon charged at Lin Yun again. His speed was extremely fast, but in Lin Yun’s vision, he seemed to be moving in slow motion. Lin Yun could see every movement he made.
“Boing!”
Previously, Blue Dragon was merely evading the direction Lin Yun was shooting. The speed of the electric beam firing from the pulse gun was something a person with Level 6 Physical Strength could evade. Lin Yun’s precise shot landed on Blue Dragon’s torso, causing it to explode.
“What?” Blue Dragon’s movement stopped. He looked down at the hole that was once his torso with disbelief written on his face.
“How did you manage to capture my movements?” Blue Dragon fell onto his knees on the ground, seemingly about to collapse.
Lin Yun looked at Blue Dragon warily and remained silent.
“In truth, I’m a Human as well.” Blue Dragon stated weakly as he finally collapsed onto the ground, having lost all his strength.
“What? You’re a Human too?” Lin Yun was shocked. He dared not believe that the boss of a gang in a Demon Race planet was actually a Human. Yet, the man was about to die, which meant he had no reason to lie.
“Yes. I once promised my father to return home as a mecha warrior. But I failed. I came here because I felt ashamed to see him. Members of the Demon Race and Humans are essentially the same. No one would have expected that someone of my position is, in fact, a Human.”
Lin Yun recalled his own father. Could his father wait for the day he became a mecha warrior and return home in glory?
“Can I ask for a favor since we are both Humans?” With lifeless eyes, Blue Dragon coughed out blood.
Thinking about his own father, Lin Yun did not deny him. “Tell me, then.”
“Help me pass this certificate to my father Lan Yun. Tell him that his son is unfilial and has failed to live up to his expectations. He’s living in Blue Golden Empire’s capital, 56 Golden Fragrance District.”
Upon hearing that, Lin Yun silently kept the certificate away and promised. “If I manage to escape, I will deliver it to your father.”
A faint smile appeared on Blue Dragon’s face. His voice suddenly gained strength, and he spoke like he was reminiscing, “There’s a secret passage below my table leading to outside the city. Which starport are you intending to go to?”
Lin Yun couldn’t help but speak the truth. “I wish to head to the nearest Blue Refined Starport.”
“No, the security of the Blue Refined Starport is the strictest. It’s also where Song Junming assigned the most soldiers to. You have no chance of escaping from there. Instead, make a U-turn to Blue Dream Starport. You have a chance there since there are many kinds of people there, and you can purchase a fake identification document to return back to the Human Alliance.”
Lin Yun’s eyes gleamed, for he had not quite believed in Blue Dragon’s words. He was considering the feasibility of Blue Dragon’s suggestion.
At this time, a flash of light flew across Blue Dragon’s eyes. He had actually executed a Spiritual Shock.
“Ah!” Ma Li exclaimed and fainted.
“What are you trying to do?” Lin Yun leaped from the ground and stared at Blue Dragon warily. He could sense that Blue Dragon’s lifeforce was rapidly decreasing and the man was close to death. So what was Blue Dragon trying to do when he was already lying on his deathbed?
Blue Dragon smiled helplessly and explained, “My warning to you is to not trust anyone. All the information I just told you is for that woman. I don’t think she will leave with you.”
“What do you mean?” Lin Yun hastily asked as his eyes sharpened.
“All starports are unsafe. If you wish to escape, head to the star repair shop located not far away outside the city.” Blue Dragon informed him weakly as he continuously coughed out blood.
“A repair shop?” Lin Yun contemplated when he heard this.
“You wouldn’t be able to evade detection if you head to the starports. The repair shops are different, however. If you are lucky, you can hijack a small universe spaceship from the starport. This… is how you will be able to escape…” Blue Dragon’s eyes closed. He seemed to be dying soon.
However, he struggled to open his lifeless eyes and shouted hoarsely, “Pass my certificate to my father!”
When he seemed to see Lin Yun nodding in response, his head drooped to the side and his breathing stopped. There was an indistinct smile lingering on his lips.
Lin Yun couldn’t help but sigh as he looked at this poor man. He carried the pulse gun on his back and slowly pushed aside Blue Dragon’s office desk. What he saw delighted him.
There was indeed a door leading to a secret passage.
