I Have A Rewrite Version Go Check It Out - Chapter 23 For The Future
“Do you see my situation right now? I am still uploading myself to this body and its not yet complete.” Deus spoke while having his mechanical arms tap the glass front of the chamber.
“My living body is still being constructed and its powers are still developing. Right now I can command my machines but I cannot control them…..You know what I mean.”
Lily then nodded in understanding. She already knew that kind of information while she was reading his mind.
In managing his machines, controlling and commanding was different.
Commanding was just giving orders about the things that his androids, mechs, and the other machines should do. All of them had their own advanced A.I so they were quite capable when doing his commands.
But they would only do that command with the use of their own A.I and without his ‘control’. The A.I’s were smart but not smart as him, leaving them making possible errors in doing his commands.
Controlling was him transferring his consciousness into a machine and personally control the machines functions instead of their own A.I. This would allow efficient completion of tasks as he was now the one in control.
He preferred controling over commanding in order to make things faster and have better results. Furthermore he even had a special ability that played a big role in making him prefer the controlling method.
Deus can make billions of copies of himself through his main consiousness in the digital space. Through this, his copies; or in organic terms ‘Clones’, would spread and individually take control of different kinds machines under his command.
He always had this ability ever since he was made. He has been using it unconsciously ever since he made all the machines in the world go to war with humans after the nuclear strikes.
He only discovered this ability when he was making the materials for his living body, and then he proceeded on making hundreds of copies of himself. The procedure took a long time because of him being a highly advanced program.
Now, because of him transferring his main consciousness in the living body. He could not create copies of himself as his main consciousness was the only one that had the ability to do it. And if he transfers his main consciousness to another machine, then it would halt and cause errors in the uploading process.
So for now, he could only do commands for his machines.
But his existing copies in many machines around the world were still operational, and they already know what to do. They were in the 11% of his machines in the world, most of which were in his Sentinels and Satellites.
All of them were connected to each other like a hive mind. All of them had synchronized thoughts, and their memories are shared and is updated in the same time.
Because of this, even if Deus’ main consciousness or ‘mind’ is destroyed. Then the first copy will become the new main mind, and if the same happens to the new main mind, then the process would just cycle over and over again. It was like the greatest back up function.
If a human had such an ability then it can be a form of immortality.
But for now, his main consciousness is temporarily cut off from the sync and his copies could not contact the main one.
“So you will have to go in my stead to each and every human survivor camps in this country. There is still thousands of them out there. You will have to control their minds and lead them into this city.”
Deus was briefing Lily while showing her a hologram of the map of the U.S. The map had a lot of red dots on it and Lily already knew what they were.
“The new cities that I am constructing will take years to finish, so they will be in this city for now. I already have food and shelter prepared. The overall repaired structures here can shelter up to five hundred thousand people and the same can said for the food if its properly distributed.”
“Take control of the powerless humans and gather them. The same can be done for super-humans but then put them into deep sleep later on.”
Lily had shivers down her spine when she heard his statement. She already knew their fate. Other than being preserved in hibernation, they would also be experimented on.
“He values espers but why does he treat them like that?” Lily said inwardly and she decided to not think about it.
He was a machine and his way of thinking was different. He was not bound to the morals of humans and he was not obliged to follow it.
“You are currently the strongest Mind Manipulator in the world. No one can resist your will. Your job will be easy and it will be quick. You would probably be finished in less than an hour in each camps.”
Deus did a mental command and the nanobots in the lab formed into a highly advanced watch and it flew towards Lily.
Lily saw the process and she was in awe. She then received the watch with her hands. Her eyes was shining in amazement on having such a tech: “I don’t know how those things forme….AAAHHH!!!”
She screamed as the watch suddenly moved and it got out from her grip. The watch crawled into her right arm like a snake and then it attached itself firmly on her wrists. This was all done in a few seconds.
The whole experience was weird, and she felt that a centipede was crawling on her arms, which was the reason on why she screamed.
“I don’t know how you got scared about that. But anyway that watch will be your way in communicating with me while you do your task…Oh you can bring your own chair if you want, the whole thing would be quick and easy.”
“You can control ten thousand minds at once. I know you’ve tried, and I know you can do it.”
Deus did a mental command. Deviate and Atom suddenly appeared in the lab and they approached Lily. She was just standing there while looking at Deus’ robotic body. After he was done talking, she suddenly asked.
“Do I really need to do this?! This is too tiring!”
“Of course you need to do this. You work for me now and if you perform nicely, you and your mother will have a good life and there will be other rewards.”
Lily’s fear of him began to resurface when he mentioned her mother. Right now Lilith was in his hands, she was somewhere in the facility receiving treatment and care. Deus didn’t say anything about using her mother to blackmail her but she knows what would happen if she disobeyed.
“The progress of his plans is unavoidable. This is the fate of humanity! Even if I’m not here, he will just do this part of the plan after his human body is complete. It’s futile to stop it. I might as well work hard for merits so me and mother will have a high position in the future.”
Lily’s head sunk in contemplation as she had these thoughts. Several seconds later, she lifted her head up with her face having a determined look.
“When will I start?”
Deus’ saw the fire in her eyes and he spoke out, “That’s the spirit! Hehe, trust me, if you do your job well. Eighty generations of your future families will have a high position in the society I will create.”
“I’ll have you know that I never break my promises.”
He willed it, and Deviate and Atom got closer to Lily and stood besides her like guardians.
“The locations of the human groups is already in your watch. Deviate will have you teleported to them and you do your job. After that she will just teleport you and the human survivors back here in Seattle and the other machines will take care of the rest. It’s that simple.”
Following his words, the bodies of the three super-humans shone in blue light for a moment and then they disappeared.
