- Chapter 24 Checking The Situation
“Well there she goes.”
The moment the three super-humans left, Deus began on seeing the progress on the making of his living body.
The bones was already complete, it had a silvery color and it was shining with unparalleled durability. It was entirely made with cosmonium and it’s shape seem to had some artistic value. The muscles was there but it was not yet complete. They had the same color as human muscles and they were made with bio-cosmonium substance.
The nervous system was yet to be completed and they were all colored purple, including the incomplete brain and spinal cord. Blood Vessels were almost complete and a few amounts of blood were already circulating. The blood was gold in color and it seemed to glow with great power. It was made with a number of special blood and mixed with strange chemicals that Deus got from HERB Research Facility.
Some of the internal organs was still in the process of being made, but the heart was already beating. The heart was also colored gold in color and it was extremely powerful. Several of his powers were already developing. Ultra Mind, Matter Manipulation, Ultra Physique and two others were already manifesting.
Each and every single part of his living body was all made with special chemicals and bio-organic metal that has a cosmonium composition. Along with his artificial and unique gene, the body would be extremely powerful.
“Approximate time of completion: Two days and one hour. My consciousness upload will be done on that day too.”
Deus then thought of the changes that would occur on himself after this body was completed.
He would be able to breath, to feel the wind and air. He would be able to eat food and drink water, this was one of the things that he was anticipating, he already had multiple food ingredients in the facility to have a taste once his living body was complete.
He would be able to experience warmth, coldness and feel all of his five senses. And most importantly he would experience on how it feels like to have supernatural powers. The feeling of having Ultra Physique and Ultra Mind, he knew it would definitely be unique and fascinating.
“Might as well do something while waiting for my body. Lets see how our little subordinate is doing.”
With just a thought, Deus had a live video-feed appear in his inner consciousness about Lily’s progress. It was coming from a satellite and he zoomed in closer and enhanced the video to get a clear look on what was going on.
The trio’s first destination was Denver. Lily shook and she nearly stumbled on the ground the moment the scene changed in front of her. She was not yet used on Deviate’s teleportation method so she got a little nauseous after arriving.
Deviate could teleport to anywhere around the world as long as she has a perfect ‘image’ of that place or if she was been before. She got her images from the various close-up satellite image and the video feeds of the drones that Deus sent to her mind.
“Alright.” Lily collected herself and she then used her powers.
Her eyes was closed as she used her own brain waves to feel the minds of the people in the city. She got in contact with the minds of everyone and she began identifying the espers from the cluster of minds.
“7000, there’s only 43 espers among them. Its completely different in Miami where we had 62 among the 2000 people.”
The moment she was done with all of those, she controlled their minds and she made them put on full covering clothes. She then made them go outside at gather at her location. She had the humans perfectly lined up, while the others were still arriving and was getting lined up closely to each other in an orderly way. The espers were made to move to the very back of the line.
“It’s impossible to resist her control, hehe she’s doing great. She’ll probably be finished under thirty minutes, and then go back here and go to the next one.”
Deus was not worried about her tampering the minds of the humans or controlling Atom and Deviate. If she ever tampered the minds of the humans, like putting all the information she learned about him, he wouldn’t really care as they didn’t have the power to threaten him.
If they learn about his existence, so be it. He was going to spread his name to the world anyway.
He was not worried about her controlling Atom and Deviate as these two had computer minds. It was entirely different to Deus’ Cybernetic Brain as his brain was made of an entirely different substance than a computer mind whose brain is basically the same as a human.
But both had computer implants and most mental-related abilities are completely useless against them because of those implants. Super-humans who had mental-based powers can only read their minds and they can’t do anything other than that.
“Well, those two aren’t really thinking anyway…Well on to the next one.”
He then checked the data about the numbers of his machines world wide and the new batch of completed Sentinels.
There were now a total of 780 completed Sentinels. As for his total war-machines in the world; he generalized the different androids, mechs and drones of different countries and then he summed them all up together.
“9,184,299 Combat Androids, 304,123 Mechs both Automated and Piloted, 3,928,019 Drones of all sizes, both for scouting and combat…Hmmmm, many was destroyed because of the earthquake, but…this is still good enough.”
This was the total count of his current war-machines, including the newly produced ones. The first-world countries are usually the ones that had military androids and mechs, along with a few second-world countries.
For now, all of his machines were staying and guarding the different kinds of facilities, military bases, shelters and factories all over the world. This was because of the transferring of his consciousness in the living body.
Earlier these machines were marching towards human groups in an attempt to capture them all and put them into the shelters that Deus made exclusively in each countries of the world, all those who resisted were killed on the spot.
The shelters were composed of multiple hotels, apartments, condominiums and markets. They were in the cities of many countries that were not targeted by the nukes.
Deus already established 102 shelters around the world and all of them were managed by his copies that occupied certain androids, and all of the people living there were powerless.
“The number of remaining super-humans must be so few now.”
Deus then reviewed his super-human identity database.
“There were over 10 million super-humans in the world. Now there’s only a few hundred thousands of them left and they are scattered around the world.” Deus said inwardly as he sighed with helplessness
He then looked at the Class-5 super-humans in the database while looking at the multiple video-feeds of various human survivor bases and certain humans who was travelling with a few people.
His mechanical eyes flickered as he slightly lamented at their numbers.
“Of the 1,898 Class-5s in the world. There may only be 200 to 400 left. Some are travelling and some are in human survivor camps.”
5.6 billion people died in the nuclear strikes, whether they were super-humans or powerless. Then hundreds of millions died in the earthquake that occured. And as for a bonus, the earth’s climate changed and many even more died because of it.
“Thankfully the government has thousands of genetic codes coming from the previous generation’s Class-5s.”
Deus then focused his attention on the Earth’s weather through the satellites and he thought with boredom, “Might as well do some check-ups while waiting.”
