I Have A Rewrite Version Go Check It Out - Chapter 5 Unexpected Aftermath
16 Hours has passed since the initial start of the nuclear holocaust.
5:54 AM Coordinated Universal Time Zone
The skies that was once colored black started to brighten blue as sunrise came and its light illuminating the world. It would have been a beautiful scene, but considering the situation of the planet, it wasn’t as grand as it was intended.
The second day of the nuclear holocaust has dawned.
Deus observed the current weather in the different parts of the world. He was doing this ever since the ‘The Great Shift’ took place and he was surprised that the skies was clear.
“I guess the effects won’t come that quick.”
Deus thought that the skies would be cloudy at the morning but looks like he was wrong.
“I still need to prepare for climate change.”
When Deus launched the nukes, he already predicted the changes that would occur on Earth, but never did he come up of such extreme and unexpected changes.
Aside from human civilization almost being destroyed, the planet itself is already having a major change.
Around six hours ago, a global massive earthquake occured and some other abnormal phenomenons was occuring around the planet.
Deus saw all the changes and he called this ‘The Great Shift’. He knew that this would be a time of a new and dangerous Earth.
When Deus noticed the anomalies, he began taking images and statistical data from his satellites and he noticed something amazing.
Through the geographical and orbital scans of the satellites, Deus noticed that the earth’s axial tilt has changed. The tilt changed from between 22.1 and 24.5 degrees to approximately 26.6 degrees.
Deus was able to determine the approximate number instead of using the guessing technique of ‘in between’ from humans.
“Thanks to this, the directions of north, east, south and west has changed. Furthermore the earth’s magnetic field is changing every second.” Deus knew the effects that these changes would bring and he was more amused than being worried about the situation.
The cause of these changes was because of the nukes. Thousands of powerful nuclear warheads detonated one by one in large areas on the planet. These huge simultanenous explosions made the planet bear a heavy burden, causing many of its conditions to change. Some were bad for its inhabitants and some were beneficial, though the bad ones were higher.
“Humans has not felt this for now, but soon they will.”
The future changes that he was able to predict was the conditions of the planet’s living inhabitants. Mutation of plants and animals would take place and the ecosystem may change. Many will have their bodies improve as they are now in a new kind of environment and the food chain of animals will constantly change until their evolution develops into the limit.
But these kinds of changes would happen after a hundred years or so.
All living beings needed time to adapt and evolve, unless something abnormal would tamper on their bodies, which is what Deus was going to do in the future.
But the change that Deus was wary about is the climate of the planet.
The seasons will become abnormal. Summer, spring, autumn and winter, they will all change for each parts in the world, maybe even swap places or may occur together in the same time.
Depending on the conditions the new climate would bring, he would have to adjust his plans.
“Nature is the strongest force in this world.”
He knew that global warming will worsen, no, in fact it’s happening already, along with the Ozone Layer burning every second. When the process of these events end, all life on Earth might die because of the intensity of the raw and unsuppressed ultraviolet rays.
These kinds of events was not a problem for Deus as it wouldn’t affect his machines. But there was also the chance of nuclear winter coming and he didn’t want that to happen, its chances of occuring was low but it still made Deus worry.
“After fire and fury comes cold, darkness, and hunger.”
Nuclear Winter was the thing that Deus does not want to experience. If it really happens, then it would greatly hinder his plans. He may even have to evacuate the planet if the worse possible scenario happens.
While thinking about the solutions he has for these kinds of events, he thought to himself with great frustration, “If I already have my new toys now, I wouldn’t care about the rules of nature.”
Deus was talking about all the advanced technology that he already thought of, but they weren’t made into reality yet as building these kinds of technology would take months and years judging with the current resources he has.
All of the technologies, which he had schematics for already were more than fifty or maybe even hundreds of years ahead of the current tech of this world.
“Though some of my new tech can be made with the current industrial robots and resources here.”
“But it will be weaker than my original designs…Well I’ll make them anyway, its better to have the lesser ones than nothing.”
Deus focused his attention on the Atlas’ Main Facility.
He housed his consciousness on a security android that was patrolling in the building, and just like that, this android officially became his first body.
The android was made with Super-grade alloy and it had the height of 1.80 meters. It carried a AW-280 Plasma Rifle.
Security androids that can be found in the average markets or households are usually made with Standard-grade alloy, the ones that can be found in the facilities of government and private company’s are usually made with either High or Premium-grade alloys, but the security androids of Atlas’ facilities are all made with Super-grade alloys.
Their weapons were also highly advanced and their android models were always the latest and the finest, knowing that Atlas was the biggest company in the globe, they may even have the most advanced equipment in the world.
“The tech here compared with the rest of the world is incomparable, even the government cannot compare to Atlas’ technology.”
“Their current technology is not bad, but it’s still lacking. I can redesign and upgrade all of them quickly but if I want to make my own tech then its gonna take awhile.”
Deus then roamed around the facility to enter a certain laboratory. There were 101 laboratories in the facility, the upper floors and the ground floors were included in that number. Deus wanted to enter Lab-90, as this was the laboratory in where the latest project of Atlas was being researched and developed.
In the hallway towards Lab-90, metallic steps can be heard as Deus was getting near to its gate-doors. With a thought, the gate-doors opened and he entered the lab. He was greeted with various highly advanced equipment and materials, but he immediately set his sights on the large numbers of tiny machines that was on a testing table. He picked one of them and held it up close to his face.
It had the shape and the size of a housefly, its wings were made of thin and light plastic-metal and its body were made with High-grade alloy.
“Spy Flies, these are all just prototypes but with me here I can finish them now.”
Deus looked at the materials in the lab that was used to make these tiny machines, he held some in his mechanical hands and he analyzed it. After the inspection, he then thought of something great.
“My nano bots can be made with the current materials here, it may be weaker than my supposed original design but they are still nano bots and can have the same functions.”
