Deus, using his current temporary mechanical body, began working on making the nano-bots.

“I need to make the other equipment now.”

Following this thought, Deus willed it and hundreds of assistant androids around the city mobilized and started travelling towards Atlas’ Main Facility. The assistant androids that were already inside the building, went inside different labs and began making machines using the current materials of the facility.

There were some devices that had to be made manually by human hands or in this case the hands of the assistant androids which entirely had similar functions to that of a human hand as the hands of humans were great tools in its own way and many tasks can only be done through its use.

The industrial robots and machineries were only working on creating the bodies of the new androids, not on the other more complex parts.

They were suitable for constructing the bodies of machines, but some of the parts of those androids needed to be made manually by hands, this is because the process of making these kinds of parts and equipment needs to be carefully assembled and human-like hands were the perfect tools for that.

Deus controlled each and every single one of the androids that were working on the devices to make sure than the process will have no flaws while his temporary body was working on his nano-bots. He had an ability similar to that of a ‘Hive Mind’, but were stronger and had its differences as he can only control networked and digitalized machines.

Deus only made the assistant androids help as they weren’t really of much use in fighting. They are physically stronger than humans; yes, but they have no weapons at the start particularly tools to deal with super-humans. Furthermore their defenses were weaker than most androids used for combat.

Now the remaining robots that were roaming around Seattle was just the American military androids drones and mechs. Most of the enforcer androids were made to patrol around and inside the automated factories and other research facilities, some were just standing still and some were patrolling the inside and outside. With these kinds of defensive measures, the buildings were turned into a hornets nest.

The state of the city was in ruins because of the earthquake hours ago.

The streets were now cracked and the cars were either stuck or were at the bottom of sink holes, many tall buildings collapsed and a lot more of the smaller ones were utterly destroyed.

The earthquake lasted around one and a half minutes, and now, the city was reduced to this state.

But thanks to this kind of event, the extermination of the humans in this area was hastened, though there were many the machines that were also destroyed, there were still tens of thousands of them operating perfectly.

As for the facilities, many of them crumbled but many also survived; particularly Atlas Main Facility and the automated factories. This is because their structure was also designed to withstand natural disasters other than it being able to survive multiple missile attacks and explosives.

Hours passed and now, Deus took his consciousness out of the android body that were working on his nano-bots.

He housed himself again in an assistant android that are currently inside the lab where his new models of laser and plasma weapons were being created.

Laser and Plasma weapons has their differences.

Laser weapons has a very high accuracy and it’s basically impossible to dodge as is moves at light speed, but depending on their power and wavelength, a target may be able to find cover before they’re permanently damaged.

Lasers are also unaffected by wind and has a long range with no recoil, but depending on their power output, they can have no sudden impact therefore delivering a lower damage. Though theoratically, there’s no limit to the power output of lasers, so with enough power, they can destroy anything.

Plasma weapons however, have a smaller range despite its projectile traveling fast but slower than lasers. Due to its lighter weight, the accuracy is also lower than that of laser weapons and plasma has to be contained or buffered in some way, which limits the power output.

What it excels at, is its high stopping power and high initial damage.

Whoever is hit, feels the pain immediately.

Plasma weapons can also damage some objects that a laser weapon cannot; such as highly reflective metals, and they can damage thicker armors more easily than a laser. Furthermore the energy cost of plasma weapons are lesser than laser weapons, as lasers use far more energy with only a small portion of the energy actually getting transmitted and turned into a beam of light to the target.

Deus was going to use these weapons for his new models of androids and mechs, specially on the unique androids that he was going to have as his greatest pawns.

Along with the making of these kinds of weapons were his new Kinetic Reflector Technology, Energy Shield Generators and many other kinds of never-before seen technology on Earth, though he didn’t forget in developing new and improved models of Kinetic weapons (guns used in our modern day).

But Deus was more on anticipating in his energy-based weapons which were better than both lasers, plasma and kinetic weapons.

Energy-based weapons has all the qualities of lasers and plasma, but its better because its power can further improve depending on the type of energy that is used to power the weapon.

“Once I have these weapons and devices completed. My situation on dealing with Class-5 super-humans will be better and easier.”

He then turned his attention on the several industrial machineries and androids, in which he controlled on contructing his very own primary mechanical body.

“So far so good, but I want a living body as soon as possible.” Deus’ nonexistent heart were yearning to experience what it feels like to be ‘Alive’.

He was already making the machine that would be capable to construct a living and synthesized body, but the progress was slow as it required some of the more complex parts.

Deus would have to make those parts and then make parts out of those parts and the cycle will continue which will last for weeks or maybe even months to complete.

But Deus was not in too much of a rush and he was doing all of his work in an average and steady pace.

These kinds of activities were done for many hours and eventually days has passed, but then Deus was disturbed about an information he has received.

He looked at the video feeds that was sent to him by the drones and satellites and his mechanical face showed an amusing expression, that is if it was made with organic tissues.

Deus saw the video feeds and images about the process of his androids, mechs and drones being destroyed by several super-humans working together. There were even Class-5s in some of the groups and because of them, the rate of him losing the machines were very fast.

This was happening all around the world!

“They are actually fighting back.” His nonexistent blood was boiling in anticipation.

“Hehehehe, that’s right fight back! This will make things more exciting and satisfying as I take this world!”

Deus then saw other video feeds about groups of humans that were using guns, either kinetic, laser or plasma, they were shooting at his machines and they were being destroyed one by one. In the same time, the machines were firing their own weapons and the two sides were having losses, but the losses of the humans were less as they were using their terrain properly and utilized the buildings as cover, while the machines were just advancing forward and fired their weapons at the direction of the humans.

“I forgot to control these machines just wait till I manipulate them, but still, even the powerless ones are joining in on the fray.”

With this thought, his invisible mouth curled into a cruel and exciting smile.

“I’ll test my new technology to all of you, hehehehehehe.”
