I Have A Rewrite Version Go Check It Out - Chapter 9 Predictable
Deus scoured the super-human civilian database of the government in America
[Lowell Harper] – Class 5
[Ability] – Air Cannon
[Threat Level] – Moderate
This was the results that he got and the following words are what appeared on the HUD of his consciousness.
“Air Cannon…..so that’s the reason huh.” Deus was looking at the several mechs in front of him that were destroyed.
The mechs seemed to be struck with a strong and pressurizing force that blasted them into pieces.
“An ability to create a powerful air shockwave from their arms and legs…..” Deus took a look closely and he picked up the Plasma Blaster of a Juggernaut Mech.
The Blaster had a huge hole and the other parts was also blown into pieces. Judging by the huge hole that was also located on the chest on the mech, the attack was very accurate and carried enough power to blow through a large hole, not too strong and not to weak.
“He is just 19 years old, but this guy already has such a skill in controlling his powers. With this kind of control, he would lessen his expendature of energy.” Deus praised the skill of the super-human and he made his anti-gravity generators to focus its output on the two scrapped Juggernaut Mechs.
He then flew to the skies along with with two levitating scrapped mechs. Deus was going to use these to throw at the Class-5 to see his defensive method of using his powers.
Deus arrived at the location and there he saw Lowell fighting the machines outside the hotel.
The other human fighters were inside the building, firing at the machines and Lowell was the only one who was outside getting all the attention of the mechs.
Now only Lieutenant Colonel Kyle, 31 soldiers and 6 super-humans were left, the rest died while retreating. Earlier when they were close to the hotel, they saw a number of scrapped drones on the area and Lowell came out to cover their escape.
The mechs and androids gave him a rain of bullets and plasma shots but Lowell was utilizing his power to move at high speeds. He kept hiding and jumping through buildings.
“Oh shit pretty soon I’m gonna run out of cover.” Lowell looked at the buildings crumbling down after receiving all of the attacks for him.
He used his ability through his feet and with a single leap, he reached 50 meters into the air and he prepared his arms.
Winds howled as the air around his arms compressed and formed together. He punched the air at the mech’s direction and a blast of wind shot out.
A Juggernaut Mech was blown to pieces and Lowell sped up his falling on the ground using his ability. He landed on the building and he jumped again and again while throwing Wind Blasts at every mech he saw.
“Two left!” Lowell eyed the remaining Juggernaut Mechs and he channeled his ability.
His air shockwave can manifest into different forms, depending on the motion of his limbs. Furthermore if he channels his power longer then the Wind Blast will be bigger and stronger.
With an aerial chop, a large wind blade shot out to the Juggernaut Mechs and the two of them were hit in the same time. They were hacked into two as other parts of their body were flying all over.
“Only the androids are left.”
Lowell was about to jump off but suddenly he felt something coming towards him and he looked to his right.
He was greeted by a destroyed mech thrown towards him.
Lowell reacted immediately and he jumped upwards with great height. He looked at the one who was responsible for that throw and his eyes widened.
“What the hell?!” He said this in a low but shocked voice.
A flying android with a unique design, its body looked incredibly tough and its eyes which emitted a menacing red light, was staring right back at him.
Deus waved his hands and the levitating mech beside him was thrown at Lowell mid-air.
Lowell channeled his power and he did a slapping motion on the air. The incoming mech was slapped by a powerful wind and it strayed from its target.
He was falling to the ground and then his feet released a minor blast of air to safely land on his legs.
“Your really amazing are you.” The android spoke with a voice of a man, but it was rough and robotic.
“It spoke?!” Lowell was shocked at the words of the robot but he knew that it was an enemy so he threw a punch on the air.
An air blast shot out but the android just moved at the left and the air blast missed.
“It just dodged it just like that?!” Lowell was shocked at the scene.
His attacks were invisible and fast. He was the only one who would know how powerful and how big his Air Blasts were the moment he releases them.
Yet that machine managed to dodge it just like that.
“Who the hell are you?!” Lowell barked out loudly at the android.
He knew that someone must be controlling this android as it just talked to him earlier.
Deus’ LED eyes gleamed with cold light for a second but he decided to answer in an uncaring voice, “Just someone that wants you to be my lab rat.”
Following those lines, Deus raised his arm and fired a concussive beam from his fingers. The severity was only enough to inflict minor wounds and cripple Lowell as Deus was planning on capturing him.
Lowell used his ability through his feet and he was propelled high up in the air. He threw a punch and a shot of Wind Blast whistled towards Deus.
And again, Deus just moved to his left and he dodged the Wind Blast. He counter-attacked with a blast of concussive beams and Lowell blasted a propelling wind that threw him off to the left.
Deus already predicted his trajectory and he flexed his fingers as a concussive beam fired out.
“!!!!!” Lowell’s eyes widened, he was flying towards the beam and the distance was already so close that he didn’t have time to propel himself with an Air Blast.
He gritted his teeth and he raised his arms to prepare for pain, no he may even die.
“AAAHHH!!” He screamed with intense pain as he was struck initially to the shoulder and the beam travelled to his chest.
He lied on the roof of a building with his eyes full of tears from the burning pain, but he was happy on one thing.
“I’m still alive?!”
“No wait he said he wants me to be a lab rat, so he just wants to capture me!”
Lowell gritted his teeth till it cracked and he propelled himself to a building and then to another.
“You think you can escape?” Deus said out loud with a ridiculing voice as he flew for a hot pursuit.
Lowell looked at the back and fired out an air blast.
But again, Deus just moved to the left and he dodged it.
“How the hell can he dodge those? Can he see them? You can’t see air!” Lowell thought to himself with great indignation as he continued on hopping from a building to another.
Deus was predicting Lowell’s propelling trajectories and he suddenly shot out a plasma blast.
The next area where Lowell was gonna land, exploded and Lowell was sent flying from the force of the blast.
But in mid-air Lowell propelled himself to a building and he retaliated with a Wind Blade.
Then again, Deus just flew downwards and he evaded the attack.
Deus was analyzing Lowell’s every move and through this Deus would immediately know his next course of action.
Deus would calculate the approximate size, shape and power of the Wind Blast for everytime Lowell moves his arm and then he would move in advance to dodge the predicted direction of the Wind Blast.
“His wind blasts can manifest into different forms depending on the motion of his limbs and if he charges up longer then the power and size will increase accordingly.”
“His aim is easy to predict by just looking and analyzing the movements of his arms.”
