“Uh Huh, you realize you will probably get a Nobel peace prize for this invention once the war is over.” Howard says

“Yeah however it just stops the bullets penetration, they could still get broken bones and bruises. There are also larger caliber rounds. Like the .308 that is going to make it to battlefield snipers and riflemen in a few weeks.” Sandstorm says

“Well let’s say we could manage to get a small bit of the enigma code. Like from a Uboat or a stolen German destroyer. Then we could use the Turing machine to decode all future messages sent by the Germans.” Sandstorm says remembering stealing the German destroyer.

“Well assuming the manhattan project succeeds, Russia would probably close its borders. Then it would be a silent arms race and spy war between the free countries of the world or democratic versus the communist countries of the word. The only thing preventing nuclear war would be MAD or mutually assured destruction if any country were to launch nukes. It would end the world.” Sandstorm says

“Interesting point of view.” Howard says at the enter the elevator to exit the bunker.

“Yeah who knows with the use of rockets by the Germans, maybe there will be some sort of race to put the first human into space.” Sandstorm says with a smile.

“Like that will ever happen.” Howard says trying not to laugh.

‘Boy do I hope I’m here to see the look on your face.’ Sandstorm thinks not knowing where she will be.

“What is it Mister president?” A secretary asks him.

“We’ve just won this war.” President Roosevelt says

“What do you mean sir? Although the super soldier serums was a success. The doctor was killed?” The secretary asks

“You know how he adopted a daughter?” Roosevelt asks.

“The mutant that teleported the German destroyer.” The secretary asks

“Yes her it turns out she’s just as smart as him. She’s invented a cloth that is bullet proof for small arms. Less allied soldiers will die in battle less of our young will suffer.” He says happily

“So the call with Prime Minister Churchill?” She asks

“We are keeping it, Howard and his daughter are coming over tonight for a formal dinner. He can tell Churchill the news himself. First Jet engines now this.” Roosevelt says happily.

“If she is trust worthy she sounds like his daughter is a gem.” The secretary says.

“Well, she was friends with Steven Rogers. I have no doubt about her character.” Roosevelt says knowing that the American Hero is doing for enlistment offices and the American war propaganda.
