I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100 - Chapter 478
Everyone watched as Guan Yin fought the large Paragon. It was two times her size and was faster than her in all aspects, but it didn’t stop the woman from fighting it head on.
All her life she was hiding, Guan Yin thought that this is her redemption, this is the time where she would stand up and show everyone that she can do it even though she was a woman.
“Give up,” the Paragon smirked. “You have no power to fight me. Your level is too low. I am a demon, no. I am stronger than a demon!”
“But I don’t talk too much that I let my guard down!” Guan Yin yelled, sliding across the ground. She went straight down the Paragon who was all fours, raising her sword above her so it would strike across the creature’s belly.
Blood was spilled everywhere as Guan Yin struck her sword on the ground to stop her motion. She fliped her entire body and landed on one knee, smirking as the Paragon stared at her in disbelief.
“B-But you’re just a puny human…” it spoke as the blood spilled from its lips. “How could you do this to me?”
“I’m not just a woman,” Guan Yin said, showing her blade that was drenched in the creature’s blood. She swiped it to the side to get rid of the blood, not losing eye contact with the Paragon. “I’m a ruler.”
With one last shriek, the Paragon fell to the ground, dust exploding underneath it from the impact. Its blood oozed from its body while Guan Yin walked above it, piercing her sword straight to the Paragon’s body.
“This is why I am worth it!” she yelled. “I will protect everyone.”
“She killed it!”
“Guan Yin defeated the monster!”
“She is our ruler!”
…
As the crowd cheered for Guan Yin’s victory, a woman walked out of the cheers and applause. It was Meirong. She approached Guan Yin and ran her hand across the latter’s hair.
“You did good,” the Maiden said. “I am so proud of you.”
“If it wasn’t for your pep talk, I wouldn’t be able to do this,” Guan Yin said. “Thank you.”
Meirong chuckled. She took something from her back and placed it on Guan Yin’s hair. “This is the symbol of our kingdom before it perished. I want you to take it, and show it off. You are the first woman that stood up to the men.”
The flower was a pink crystal lotus that was glued to a hairpin. The hairpin was worn by Guan Yin to push the right side of her hair, as to not let it hinder her in her future fights.
Meirong held Guan Yin’s hand and raised it. “You have your ruler. The Kingdom of Shuno will now have Guan Yin to lead us into the future. May the Sun bless her with power and grace!”
The citizens clapped, joyously cheering for their ruler. Connor’s eye twitched as if these same people didn’t treat her badly not too long ago. When he asked Elliot about this, the latter scoffed.
“You know,” Elliot said. “These people does know a lot of things. They’re just as curious as we are before. They don’t know the right thing or the wrong thing, only relying on what their leader tells them to.”
“They lacked free will,” Lance said. “That’s what you wanted to say, right?”
Elliot chuckled and nodded, “But we all know that Guan Yin will bring them just that.”
“But free will comes with its consequences,” Ed muttered, pointing at the group of men that were associates with DongDong’s impostor. “We have to take care of them somehow.”
Elliot grinned, “Oh, I know exactly what to do with them.”
“Oh, do you now?” Connor laughed. “Tell us what it is and we’ll do it right now.”
–
It was night and the entire kingdom was filled with lights and laughter. They were celebrating the rise of their new leader and the defeat of the tyrant that held them for years.
People were parading the streets. For the first time in years, they were happy. They didn’t have to hide anymore because they were finally free.
In an alley near the castle were four men. They were whispering to themselves, watching the lively town with angry sneers and cuss words.
“I don’t like the idea of having a female ruler,” one of them said. “It’s pathetic. The men should rule the kingdom.”
“These women deserve to be in the house, staying there. They need to cook, clean, and take care of our children, not the future of the kingdom,” another agreed.
“We need to let this woman know what it takes to be a man,” the third one said with a dark grin. “We’ll let her give birth to a rightful heir instead. She is indeed beautiful. I want her in bed.”
“We all do brother,” Elliot said from behind them. The four of them immediately gasped after hearing this.
“It’s one of those Westerners!” the first man yelled. “Run!”
The four of them fled the alley with Elliot waving goodbye at them. They ran to another dark alley where they saw someone crying at the end.
“Who is that?” the third man asked. “Is that a woman?”
They walked closer, seeing the crying figure clearer. The figure had porcelain white skin that was clear and pinkish, long black hair that reached up to the person’s lower back.
“Excuse me?” the second man asked, making the person look up, showing a pair of gorgeous ocean blue eyes.
“Oh,” the first man said. “We’ll leave Guan Yin for now. This woman is much more beautiful than she is.”
“Woman?” Midnight narrowed his eyes. He stood and growled. “Do I look like a woman to you?!”
The four of them looked at each other, then at Midnight. They slowly gulped, making Midnight even more furious.
Fangs shone from Midnight’s mouth and a pair of wings grew from his back. In a flash, he had morphed into a creature. “Then I’ll show you a woman.”
From a distance as the four men were chased by a morphed Midnight, Elliot laughed with his friends.
“You didn’t have to go that far,” Guan Yin chuckled. “But thank you.”
“Congratulations,” Elliot said to her.. “Congratulations, Guan Yin.”
