I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100 - Chapter 479
Everything in the East was settled. The foundation of the kingdoms were built again, and peace was finally restored after years of chaos.
Elliot was riding Hope’s dragon form, closing his eyes as he felt the breeze. It was time that they would return to their kingdom and plan out their attack on the Absolute Candidates.
“I feel…” Lance trailed off as he zoomed across the sea in a bright yellow blaze. “Awesome!”
“He’s really liking that new powers of his, huh?” Ed snickered. They continued to watch Lance dive and rise from the waters with his newly acquired power of the One Sun.
After a long deliberation, everyone unanimously agreed to give Lance the power of the One Sun. His blood, abilities, and even his new status as the Terran Eternal sealed him the power to himself.
Even Zeus noted that Lance had to have the power. This power was from his father and his current prowess proved him right to have the power.
“The power of One Sun,” Elliot whispered. “I hope Lance could finally defeat Malice. Then everything will be over with.”
“We all do hope for that,” Ed said. “Lance is the Prophecized Boy. He has the power to change the world we live in by taking down the biggest threat there is.”
“And to think that Malice is a Candidate,” Connor sighed. “How will he do it?”
“Not alone,” Elliot noted. “No matter what happens, Lance needs our help. He can’t be alone in this fight. We fought so many wars, it’s not the time to leave one on his own.”
His friends agreed and there was only silence after that. Elliot couldn’t help but fall asleep after everything that has happened. His body finally reclaimed the exhaustion, leaving the boy in a deep slumber.
–
“Darkness,” a woman with a light, gentle voice spoke. “I don’t want him to be swallowed by the darkness.”
The woman had long curly hair and a pair of dark blue eyes. She held the bump on her stomach as she talked to a tall blonde man. “What if my powers would grow inside him? What if he–”
“Relax,” the man held her cheeks, gently raising her head so she would face him. “The darkness inside you will not harm our child. It can’t possibly do it since the darkness did not exist. They only told you things tl stir you up.”
Elliot watched these two behind a door. It was as if he was watching them from another perspective, like he was seeing someone’s memories.
“But what will we do if they come for us?” the woman cried, burying herself on the man’s chest. “I don’t want to lose you both. I can’t possibly bear to do so.”
“You won’t,” the man said, smiling at her. “I will always be here.”
An invisible force made Elliot raise his hand and snap his finger. Right after the sound of his skin erupted, the scenery changed and he was now in an altar.
Right in front of him was a man hanging in the air with both his hands raised on either side of him. The man seemed to be unconscious while his body was slowly being lowered.
Elliot took a dagger and stabbed the man on the chest, making a woman nearby cry.
“No!” the curly haired woman yelled. “Stop it! Please, no!”
“It’s too late,” Elliot said with a grin. “I have his powers now.”
“Elliot!”
The boy gasped as he fell awake. His body sprung up from his breath, trying to get air as much as his lungs could handle. “What happened?”
“You fell asleep on our way here and now you started screaming,” Midnight said. He touched Elliot’s forehead to check on his temperature. “You don’t seem sick. Do you feel okay? Are you feeling fine?”
“I’m good, thank you, Midnight,” Elliot said. “Where are the others?”
“In the guildhouse,” Midnight replied. “Everyone’s been waiting for you.”
“Everyone?”
Midnight led Elliot out of his room and into the guildhouse where everyone was cheering for their safe return.
“Elliot!” Glitch yelled and ran towards the boy. “It’s been so long, Elliot.”
“Where have you been, Glitch?” Elliot hugged the man when the latter opened his arms out. “After Biankka’s attack, you left for no reason. I tried to ask Frederick where you were, but he said that you needed some time off.”
“I did,” Glitch grinned. “My brother needed help on his farm, so I offered my hands to him. When I got back, y’all are gone.”
“We–”
“Elliot!” George yelled. “We were so worried. Thank heavens you’re fine.”
“He’s been restless for days,” Sun sighed. “I kept telling him that it’s going to be alright, but my words doesn’t seem to reach all of the fats he got.”
George did indeed gain a significant amount of weight. His bulky and buffed appearance was has been replaced with a much plumper body. Elliot wanted to comment on it, but judging from George’s expression after Sun spoke, he didn’t continue.
“I know I gained weight, but that doesn’t matter,” George flexed his arms. “I’m still the tankiest tank among all of us.”
Everyone laughed at this. They continued to talk merrily, laughing at each other and welcoming all those who participated in the mission.
It was a surprise for everyone that there were no casualties after the war. Even on the Draconian’s side, no one died. Although the major enemies fought each other out and they only settled for the weaker soldiers, it was still surprising that they were given all their lives back.
In the middle of their celebration, the old wooden door of the guildhouse was slammed down. They all watched as four figures stood on their doorstep.
“Hey!” Luck growled. When the dust was cleared, it was revealed that the demons were the ones on the doorway.
“Irus?” Elliot asked. “What happened? Why did you do that.”
“You don’t have to repair your guild many times a year anymore,” Leviathan smirked. “Midnight is free.. He is finally free.”
