I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100 - Chapter 481
It was a huge campaign that they were going to be a part of. They are going to attack the Kings one by one with the help of all four Demons. That was the plan that Leviathan had in mind.
“We should call his majesty for this,” Frederick said. “We can’t just act on ourselves. We have to get help from the other guilds and the top ranked Adventurers.”
“We can actually defeat the Kings in a one on one battle,” Mammon said. “That is if they weren’t stuck here for thousands of years and practically absorbed all life force in a huge area.”
“The highest we can go to alone is the Kings Guard,” Irus pointed out. “In each King, there are six Kings Guard that has the same level as us.”
“But you guys are ridiculously strong,” Lance chuckled sarcastically. “Are they that powerful?”
“More than you’d ever think,” Mammon said. “These guards have high level intelligence and even high level magic. They are almost as strong as the King itself only the King is just so huge.”
“What did the King look like?” Elliot couldn’t help but ask.
Leviathan pursed his lips and shrugged. “Tall, about fifty meters tall. You see the large cathedral-looking building in each castle? Those are the rooms the Kings stay, the infamous throne room.”
“You gathered so much information in such short amount of time,” Luck pointed out. “You’re demons, aren’t ya?”
Everyone looked at Luck, seemingly waiting for him to laugh and tell them that he was only telling a joke. When he didn’t, they looked at each other in full confusion.
“He’s sick,” Midnight ran towards Luck and took the man’s hand to pull him away. “He took a heavy amount of medicine and now he’s acting like this. Sorry for that.”
“What a weird man,” Leviathan said as they all watched Midnight drag Luck, who was almost twice his size, away. “Anyway, we have a plan that involves us and nothing more. If you add more people, it will mess up the plan we have in mind and–”
Mammon leaped and created a spear made of darkness in his hand. He narrowed his eyes before shooting the spear, right into a tree where a ripple in the air blocked it. An arrow of ice crashed to the spear, breaking it before shattering into a thousand pieces.
Elliot tilted his head, thinking something was up when Mammon grinned. The demon spoke, “Show yourselves. Your friends want to meet you.”
“Oh, do they now?” a familiar female voice spoke. This time, Elliot knew who these people were.
“Ripple, Frost!” Elliot waved his hand as the twins leaped from the tree they were on and land straight in front of Elliot. “What are you both doing here?”
“We’re here to help,” Frost said. “It seems like you made new friends. Not just any friends, but demons. That’s something fun. We want in.”
The twins had changed drastically compared to the time Eliot last saw them. In fact, a lot of things changed after they got back from the East. The two-week journey was like years in the West by how many changes were made.
Ripple now had a short hair that barely reached her neck. It seemed like a portion of her hair was remained long judging by the braid that ran from the side of her hair to the back. It was like a style from the North that they adapted.
Her clothing was prepared for the cold. She had a leather strap that covered her chest paired with a leather shorts that had dark gray fur on the ends. Her knee down to her feet were covered with a dark gray fur boots while a small fur cape covered her back.
She also changed her weapons from a short sword and a dagger. They were both made of a crystaline material that had a handle made from a giant wolf’s fur. Ripple kept a charm on both her swords in a form of a small white rock with engravings tied to a twine on the pommel of her weapons.
Frost on the other hand looked like a maiden by her outfit. Her long luscious hair reached her middle back with the same braided style as Ripple. It was evident before how she was the mature sister between them, but her graceful movements and her gentle expressions made her look even more mature.
She wore the same type of strap on her torso as Ripple while she paired it with a skirt that reached her upper knee. She also wore a coat made of leather with fur edges, making it look like she was a boss of a guild.
Ripple was wearing a pair of stilettos that made Elliot wonder how she would utilize when she was aiming. Her shoes could easily make her lose her balance and her sight.
“You two looked different,” Elliot pointed, making the twins look at each other before laughing. “What’s wrong?”
“We did look different,” Frost said. “Time in the north is different here. Well, it’s actually not but we don’t get much nighttime, so our concept of time is hard to determine.”
Elliot could understand what Frost was talking about. In colder areas such as the north, the climate allows so many daytime that it’s hard to detemine the time.”
“But that’s not the thing that’s important now,” Ripple said. “What we have to do is to defeat the Kings. When we were investigating the castles, we found these four fighting the Kings Guard.”
“Irus remembered us from your memories, so he introduced us to each other,” Frost continued. “He then asked us if we wanted to join this campaign and since our original goal was to defeat the Purple King, we agreed.”
“Why would you want to defeat the Purple King?” Elliot asked.
The twins looked at each other before sighing and Frost replied. “There were Purple knights attacking our village. Some villages were already annihilated.”
“But Leviathan,” Frederick called the demon. “You said the Kings would only move when the Candidate has been chosen.”
“Yeah,” Leviathan shrugged.. “But it doesn’t mean that the others wouldn’t move.”
