I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100 - Chapter 484
“Death is in love with a Terran?!” Elliot gasped after Irus told him about it. They were in the link on their minds that was created by the Manual.
“When he was sent here by the rift of space and time, Death would’ve created as much destruction as he could,” Irus said. “But he didn’t. Instead, he helped villages and Terrans from the Knights that went rogue. Elliot, he is in love with someone from your realm.”
“But what if he’s just kind enough?” Elliot asked, but the demon was firm in his theory. “Then how do we know who he’s in love with. Do you have some sort of clue?”
“That’s where it gets tricky,” Irus sighed. “We don’t know who she is or what she does, or where she is. What we know is that she’s from this world and we don’t need to find her. We just have to make sure that Death still likes her for the days to come.”
Elliot understood their situation right now. They needed Death in order to ease their fight on the Kings. Death has an incredible amount of magic and has powerful techniques that would lessen the time they needed to stop the Kings, giving them enough time to prepare for he Absolutehood War.
“Okay, Irus,” Elliot said. “I trust your judgement.”
“Thank you,” Irus nodded. “Well, let’s go back to the party. We can’t miss your student’s birthday, can’t we?”
Today was the day that they were going to celebrate Viper’s birthday. Elliot just knew about this when Midnight told him. Midnight was close to Viper’s grandmother, so the latter informed Midnight about it.
“Flo,” Christina called her friend. “Can you help me go make something for Vi? I want to bake a cake for him.”
“Let’s go,” Florencia agreed and they both went to the market to buy their ingredients. Christina wanted to bake a chocolate cake for Viper as a token of their friendship.
“I have to buy something in the market too,” Midnight called out and chase the two girls while his brother was following him. “I need to buy ingredients for the food that the other guild members requested.”
Although the Azure Scorch guild and The Eternals guild were separate, their bond was strong and they are united with each other. While Elliot was still figuring out where he would move, Frederick offered for his guild to stay on Azure Scorch while he was planning.
“Sun, I want you to carry as much baggage as we can, okay?” Midnight said to his brother and he just nodded.
Midnight was strong in terms of magic, but his physical strength was little to none. Due to his mental illness that made him pick dresses over pants, his body adjusted to this, making him weaker compared to an average man.
Sun was also non-stop in terms of looking out for his brother, especially after he knew what Midnight went through. Leviathan made Midnight confess everything to everyone, that was when they understood Midnight even more.
“My darling!” a voice came from afar and a person with a tremendous mana reserve approached them. Galaxia ran with glitters around his head, getting closer to where Midnight was.
“He’s here again,” Florencia sighed. “The pervert who thinks nothing but Midnight.”
“He’s actually a friend of mine from the orphanage,” Midnight said. When Galaxia was about to pounce on him with a hug, he pivoted and kicked the man while spinning in the air, throwing Galaxia to the ground.
“When the full moon arises, Leviathan’s power would also increase,” Midnight explained. “My body could handle so much of his power that I lose control. That was why the guildhouse would always get wrecked. My grip on Leviathan would almost sever every time.”
“And I was the first to help him stop it from happening,” Galaxia grinned proudly. “My darling Midnight would almost kill me monthly, but I would always do my best to overpower him.”
“The only reason why Galaxia hasn’t shined brighter than how he should because he always puts me as his priority,” Midnight said. “This man is stronger than he looks. He just reserves his energy in case I lose control again. Then he got used to containing his power and now he’s a weakling.”
“I am currently the most powerful Adventurer in Avancia,” Galaxia scoffed. “How dare you, Midnight.”
“Currently?” Christina asked, looking at Florencia. “What happened to Elizabeth?”
“Retired,” a female voice spoke from behind them. They all turned around to face the beautiful woman with the Goldilocks styled hair. “I am now a flower vendor here in Alorde.”
“Elizabeth,” the girls chorused and bowed in her presence while the others merely acknowledged her.
Retiring meant that you have the choice to lose your privileges as an Adventurer or not. Elizabeth chose the former and decided to live a normal life, away from the fights. King Leopold granted his and now here she was, selling flowers in the city far from the capital.
“Why did you chose Alorde instead of Solaguer?” Midnight asked. They were now inside of Elizabeth’s flower shop which was six times the size of an average store. She had an entire greenhouse inside filled with chair and tables.
“Solaguer was my home,” Elizabeth said. “And in order for me to grow, I needed to leave the comforts of my home. I now live here because Frederick offered a new place here.”
“Guildmaster knew about your retirement?” Midnight asked. “But we were in the East. How could he know?”
“I have been planning on retiring for months now,” Elizabeth smiled bitterly. “I lost all my will after my guild perished. It only took a matter of time for me to let go of my position when I found the people who could provide the kingdom safety.”
Midnight gulped, “And who are those?”
“Your guild and The Eternals,” Elizabeth said with now a bright smile. “You can protect the kingdom now. I leave all of these to–”
An explosion was heard from outside. Galaxia was the first one to exit, gasping after he saw a sight that he never thought he’d see in his life.
“Everyone, this is a Strike warning! Alert level Triple Alpha!”
“What’s wrong?” Midnight asked, but Galaxia could only point the large army of Knights.
“That,” Galaxia said.. “That’s what’s wrong.”
