1134 17.61 Fourth Violet Star – In a Ruined Star.
At some ruined planet which was under the Nova Clan…
There were no trees or even a blade of grass found on this planet, which was completely desolate. On this planet, all that can be discovered are rocks and red sand. Although it appears to be a fading star, there is unexpected moderation and technology hidden beneath the crimson sand. There are white walls, supercomputers, high-tech devices, and some life capsules containing unknown creature parts that can be found. Even a living Zerg is currently housed in one of the dedicated prisons for it.
At the main laboratory,
A group of white-clad scientists were studying a young man who was asleep inside one of the life capsules while it was upright in front of them. This young man possessed the distinctive blonde hair of the Imperium Star’s royal family. He is Cain Nova von Imperlian, the vanished Crown Prince who lost communication with the Main Star. A human-like creature’s husk with enormous wings was nearby. Their wings resemble those of a butterfly.
The DNA recovered is extremely little because the husk appears to be comprised solely of the winged creature’s skin. But they understood what kind of animal this shape represented. The Mystical Butterfly Clan is the world’s most secretive and restricted clan and is thought to have the strongest lineage in the cosmos.
They last saw them when Caesar Mitchell von Imperlian, the previous crown prince, brought them to the Imperium to sign a treaty fifteen years prior. On that day, a contract was secretly signed with an alien race that was similar to the Zerg but not at the same time. The Mystical Butterfly Clan initially had little butterfly wings on their backs when they were born. They are really attractive, and there is a scent of nature in their aura.
Their powers are greater than those of a human of the same rank, and their wisdom can even compete with that of a human. The strongest of them is referred to be God-ranked, while the worst is S-ranked. The Butterfly Emperor himself visited their Imperium Star that day. He is a young man who has a despondent look on his face. Only a select few people were aware of their encounter, as he desired to maintain his anonymity.
Everyone who attended the signing was at the pinnacle of their abilities on the Imperium Star. The Royal Family, the Gretel Clan, their Nova Clan, and a few old ministers who were at the moment still loyal to the royal family. Even the Grand Marshal, a young man in his twenties, did not personally attend; rather, Clodius von Gretel accompanied the distinguished guest to the door.
The Patriarch of the Nova Clan, who is also one of the veteran scientists working in the lab at the moment, is one of those waiting inside. He had yearned for their fortitude and longevity ever since he had that day’s encounter with the butterfly emperor. Then he discovered a husked with a similar appearance among the planets he possessed. He started using it right away. Since then, he has conducted studies on humans. He is currently waiting for the outcome of their experiment as he stands in front of his grandson. The test involves combining the bloodline that was collected from that husk.
Using this husk, they had conducted a number of trials, but none of the volunteers had made it out alive. When the DNA from this husk was transferred into another animal or human, they would develop a wing on their backs and pass away relatively immediately. Only the human race appears to be capable of merging with it, yet there will always be a rejection because the bloodline from that husk’s DNA is stronger than other human bloodlines.
The Mystical Butterfly Clan member must be the person’s chosen partner in order for their bloodlines to merge, which the Old Patriarch of the Nova Clan was unaware of. Unless they discovered a perfect body that is compatible with the blood of the butterfly, all further mergers would result in death for everyone.
“Patriarch, shall we begin the bloodline merging? Are you sure we are going to use his highness for it?” A scientist in a white gown asked.
He was curious as to whether their patriarch would be open to subjecting their strongest descendent to an experiment. Those present in the lab were aware of the bloodline’s immense power within that husk. After using it several times, they realized that it was too strong to be combined with another bloodline.
Their Nova Clan is represented by the Crown Prince. He carried both the Nova Family and the Royal Family bloodlines. It may be stated that the Grand Marshal, a pureblood prince, is the only other person of his bloodline. The Crown Prince, in his opinion, may also blend with it successfully. Even then, the success rate is just 30-70, with 30 being a success and 70 being a failure, much to how the Queen Mother had successfully combined with the DNA of the Zerg Race.
The old Nova Patriarch said, “Do it. Cain’er will definitely survive.”
Before acting, the other scientists exchanged glances with one another. When the Crown Prince was sleeping in the life capsules, they took out a gadget that was packed with DNA that had been harvested from the husk and controlled another device to slowly inject it into his body. To avoid cross-bloodline rejection, they were only able to inject slowly.
The blood from the husk is entirely white, in contrast to the Bug Race’s green blood. It even had a hint of gold shimmering on it. The lineage is stronger the more gold there is in it. The husband who was transformed with his blood had red blood with a golden tint, unlike the Butterfly Emperor who had silvery gold blood. Only Yara von Chrysalis’ body contained pure gold blood because of how completely his soul’s divinity changed it into a God’s body. He therefore rarely sustains injuries because his skin is resistant to most weapons.
Everyone waited till there were clear effects that came out or shown on the Crown Prince’s body after the white blood with a little bit of gold was infused into his body. Cain Nova von Imperlian, who was unconscious in the life capsule, abruptly awoke and slammed his hands against the glass wall in front of him. It took two hits from it before the glass began to fracture, stunning everyone in the lab.
Bang! Bang! Cracked!
However, the Old Patriarch of the Nova Clan was preoccupied with his grandson’s altered appearance and paid him no mind. Scales appeared suddenly on a portion of his skin that ran from his nape to the side of his neck. Instead of fish scales, it was a glittering shape that transformed into scales that were a light brown color. As he curls and keeps banging the life capsule, his blue eyes begin to take on a yellowish tint, and he appears to be in some degree of discomfort.
Bang! Crackles! Splurts~
The life capsule’s nourishing solution spouts out like a waterfall, enlarging the gap until one side of the capsule entirely breaks. The Crown Prince tripped and fell to the ground, but no one picked him up; instead, they watched as a pair of tiny wings appeared on his naked back. Cain Nova von Imperlian felt something coming out of his spine and was in excruciating pain.
The butterfly’s wings have a dark brown border that gradually fades to light brown. The Crown Prince’s body is completely covered in a white silken cocoon after the brown butterfly wings with dark brown borders form on his back. Before the Elder Patriarch’s and the scientist’s eyes was a pupa the size of a human. They found it difficult to believe what they had just seen.
“This is a butterfly cocoon. Is His Highness completing his evolution inside!?”
Upon hearing these words the Patriarch of the Nova Clan issued a command, “No one is to touch or rip the cocoon. Let it stay here and wait for it to hatch. Make sure to keep an eye on and observe all the changes. If my Grandson completes his evolution we will finally have a Hybrid with the Bloodline of the strongest race on our side!”
“Yes, Old Patriarch!!”
The silky cocoon caught the Patriarch of the Nova Clan’s eager and greedy attention. This is his device to usurp the Imperlian Clan’s throne. He wouldn’t tolerate becoming a simple duke since he wants the greatest power on the planet. He is a member of the last Royal Family to rule before the Imperlian, although he was chosen to be the Grand Marshal’s father rather than the heir to the throne. Instead, he received the title of duke, which he did not feel was adequate or worthy of him.
With the passing of his parents, he plots against the Grand Marshal and uses his adopted brother, Cale Meijer von Imperlian, as a puppet monarch for his Nova Clan to rule. Who would have known that Cale wasn’t as simple to manage as he believed? He eventually had to employ his daughter to take over the palace, but she was incompetent and couldn’t even get the puppet emperor to submit to him. His last remaining option was this grandson.
He was already aware of the Zerg invasion in Imperium Star and was confident that the Grand Marshal would prevent it from happening. Since he possessed the greatest race’s bloodline on his side, as long as the Grand Marshal perished in the conflict, the rest would be simpler to handle.
“My dear grandson, you will be the best tool for me to get the crown. Hehehe~” The Old Patriarch of the Nova Clan mumbled as he chuckled as the future that he was dreaming of was his.
On the other hand, the situation in outer space was pretty routine while the conflict on Imperium Star had intensified. The starship the Grand Marshal was traveling in had not encountered any Zergs while traveling to Imperium Star. Usually, they would run into a tiny troop by accident that they would have to subdue. Nonetheless, the area’s unexpected calmness gives it a slightly creepy and eerie.
Lieutenant General Zephyr commented, “Seeing how we didn’t even bump into any Zergs on the way makes the situation in the Main Star gloomy. This just means that the main power of the Zerg Race is all in Imperium Star right now. We need to hurry!”
“Wait, something is approaching. It seems to be a civilian spaceship but was attacked by the space bandit. We should save them!” General Nimbus von Gretel said.
System Yue said in his head, [My lord, that transmigrator called Megan Shelley (Zane Lin) was on that ship. He is preparing to take action as soon as the Space Bandit enters the spaceship.]
The Grand Marshal commented, “Do as you fit.”
He keeps using his communicator to communicate with Yara and hands up control of his ship to the two Seniors who came before him. The majority of his troops, along with his adjutant and Dean Frey, returned to Imperium Star when he sent his wife back home. He enters his office to carry on his call with his wife because he has no interest in saving others.
The two had grown accustomed to his extraordinary egotism toward his lover. His role as Grand Marshal is completely useless while Yara is nearby. No matter what is going on around him, his priorities will never alter.
General Nimbus asked, “Is this the Grand Marshal I remembered as a cold-hearted and cruel madman I heard before?” 𝓝♡vεℓB¡n: A Universe of Stories Awaits.
“Hmp! Don’t expect too much. Didn’t your elder brother even throw the title of the duke to you to marry his majesty?! It’s the same thing. In the future, there wouldn’t be any Grand Marshal in Imperium Star anyway. Just get used to it.” Lieutenant General Zephyr von Gretel said as he controlled the ship and weapons on it to scare the Space Pirates planning to hijack the Civilian spaceship.
He then glances at his husband, “Get on your mecha. Make them go away. There is no need to capture that we cannot bring them to the Main Star anyway.”
“Yes, Wife!” General Nimbus as a whipped husband brought out his Mecha and approached the Civilian Spaceship. They save the ordinary people on the other ship and made the Space Pirates run away.
