I LOVE U MY SWEET BRO - Chapter 18:CHAPTER 18
After her roving to her last patient, Sophie decided to go home since it was past five in the afternoon. She was still thinking about Lovely as she reached the apartment. When she opened the main door, the smelled goes directly to her nostril.
It was a smell coming from the kitchen. She closed the door she knew it was Henley at the kitchen. She takes off her shoes slowly she put her shoulder bag on the table gently, and saw Henley in the kitchen. He was busy cooking their dinner that he did not seem to notice her arrival.
She tiptoe towards him she cannot help it but paused for a while watching his back. He is really fit for a husband and a good father. ‘What was I thinking about it again?’ Sophie shook her head and erased her stupid ideas.
She smiled as she slowly hugged behind his back while he was cooking. She could smell his perfume as much as she smells the food.
“Be careful you might get burn.” He warned her as she travels her hands to his chest. “It will be cook for 3 minutes more.” He slowly turns around to embrace her too. “Hey, you look tired?”
She pouted as she closed her eyes. Henley suddenly kissed her lips that her eyes widen. “I miss kissing you.” He said as he let go of her lips.
Sophie slapped his arms. “You always kissing me every day.” She exclaimed. Henley laughed as he turns off the stove. He pinched her cheeks. “Help me fix the table so that we can eat our dinner and I will eat you later.” He grinned seductively. Sophie punched him again. “Ouch!”
As soon as Sophie set the table, they started eating dinner with a glass of wine each. Henley still feels that Sophie had something in her mind. “What were you thinking? Want to share it with me?” he asked as he sipped the wine.
She sighed before she says a word to Henley. “Remember Lovely, the girl who I helped getting a permanent job for her situation?” she said as she looked at him in the eyes.
“Well, what about her?”
“I do not know why but I just want to help her to the extend I got this feeling that she is something else for me that I cannot neglect the idea in my head.”
Henley wondered what she was talking about to that girl. “Huh! Me too I feel like the same as you when the first time I saw her in your clinic months ago. She looks familiar to me.”
Sophie stared at him longer. “Would it be okay if she will stay with us and the baby?”
He did not answer her but stared at her even longer. He saw something in her eyes as she said it to him. “Why are you so attached to that girl so much? You even paid for her in the hospital.”
Sophie did not even know why she was so eager to help her. The first time they met in the orphanage the girl caught in her eyes as she welcomed them. She was so sweet, friendly and kind but they all are. When she went for consultation in her clinic it came back again the feeling her they were related or something that she met her way back not in the orphanage.
“To be honest, bro I do not know too I looked at her like my other sister Sandra. I know they got the same age I find her very positive.” She sipped her wine then played her finger to the mouth of the glass. “My heart was at ease knowing she is the only one who takes care of the baby but how about after two months who will look for the baby.”
He looked at her with pity but he met Lovely few times and that girl was very kind and friendly like a sister to him too. Early motherhood was not that easy since Lovely was an orphan.
“Okay she can stay with us in the guest room with her baby. I know that girl is not a bad person and I trust you.” He said with a smile.
“Really, are you okay with that? Alternatively, I will move out with her so that you can do some privacy. It is okay with me to be with her,” she said.
Henley frowned with her suggestion. Sophie will move out from his apartment just to be with the girl she just met not long ago. “Why would you do that? You will leave me for her?” he asked angrily.
Sophie saw his face turned bad. “Well, I was just kidding you know. Of course, I will always choose you.” She smiled sweetly.
He cupped her face with his hands. “Don’t ever say that to me again, about leaving me here without you.” Sophie was also puzzle with Henley’s attitude about what she said but she did not mind.
