I Own A Sharingan - Chapter 11
April 3, 1976…
A Joop model car crosses the Gordeau Desert at full speed.
The car was driven by a young man wearing a tank top and military pants with his arms covered with bandages.
He was also wearing a red turbant that concealed his left eye, which was meticulously tied around his forehead.
“This sun will kill me.”
He took a flask from his bag and drank a few sips of water before looking at the paper map on his dashboard.
“There’s still a hundred miles to go before we reach Yorknew City.”
Raigo sighed with a tired face before starting to imagine himself in a restaurant eating a variety of dishes.
I would even sell my own brother if I could eat here and now a steak!!”
He hit the gas pedal and increased the speed of the vehicle leaving behind a cloud of sand.
Time passes quickly, the sun began to set in the desert and night fell, Raigo then saw in the distance a dazzling light that made him smile.
“Finally arrived!”
. . . .
Yorknew City, Bronz district, silver carp restaurant …
In front of the stunned eyes of a dozen people, a young man in his twenties devoured a quantity of food sufficient to feed a dozen people in a few seconds like a hungry wild beast.
The waiter wiped the sweat from his forehead, still stunned by this strange customer, and approached the young man with a worried look.
“Sir, would you… would you like me to call an ambulance?”
“An ambulance? Why do i need an ambulance? Bring a copy of my previous order!”
The waiter fainted.
After having eaten his fill, Raigo left the restaurant with a satisfied look on his face, got back in his car and drove for about ten minutes before stopping in front of a building of the hunters’ ȧssociation.
He got out of the car with his backpack and entered the building.
The building was not large and was even in some ways modest, the interior was simple with a reception hall where a woman with a tattooed body that looked absolutely unlike any receptionist you have ever met in your life sat behind the reception desk.
She looked at Raigo with a smile and then asked him the purpose of his visit.
Raigo withdrew his license and showed it to her and then he removed the cylindrical box containing the Blue Aconite and placed it on the counter.
“I’ve come to fulfill task No. 7836K.”
“One moment, please.”
The receptionist removed a large register from under the counter and turned the pages for a moment before stopping on a specific page.
She nodded her head and picked up the cylindrical box before writing something in the register.
“Task of recovering the blue Aconitum napellus, please sign in front of the line reserved for this mission.”
Raigo signed the register before leaving the building, he already knew that in this kind of mission, he received the money only after the customer had checked the object.
He got into his car and drove around the neighborhood for a while before stopping at a hotel.
He booked a room in which he immediately went upstairs, took a bath before throwing himself on the bed with a joyful expression.
“This bed is as soft as an angel’s ȧss and as comfortable as a guimove mattress.”
Raigo fell asleep immediately with a big smile on his face, forgetting all the times he had to sleep on a stone floor without being able to close his eyes completely for fear of being devoured by a wild beast.
He slept peacefully until the next day, waking up at about 11 o’clock.
He took a new bath, got dressed before having breakfast at the hotel restaurant, which he left shortly afterwards.
He paid for several basic necessities as well as new clothes and shoes, he paid for a new backpack that was stronger than the old one and a notebook in which he began to record his journey.
He reluctantly sold his car for a quarter of its price before taking a cab to Lingon Airport, he paid for a ticket and boarded an airship bound for the Republic of Padokea.
The world of HXH was very peculiar, because from a certain altitude of flight the magnetic field of the planet disturbs all the machines, no plane could fly in the sky, only the drigeables allowed the inhabitants of this world to travel long distances.
But with human progress and technological development, countries were beginning to be able to launch satellites capable of resisting the planet’s particular magnetic field.
This was a real revolution at the end of the century.
Raigo went to sit in the bar of the airship and had a few drinks and walked around in the airship before finally deciding to meditate.
“The distance between Yorknew City and Republic of Padokea is 6,870 km, depending on the speed of the airship the trip will take a few days.”
