I Own A Sharingan - Chapter 23
On July 4, Taiju Marina.
Raigo followed by Husun and Kalra boarded an old maroon-colored fishing boat, carrying several backpacks.
“Today is a good day, the sea is mild and with this boat we will surely reach the island within six days”.
Daniel at the helm with his wife who was reading a map said while watching Raigo and the others board the ship with the equipment.
“I’m afraid that with this boat we’ll sink before we get to the island.”
Hasun said, looking at the old boat with a hull covered with rust to the point of damaging the paint.
Daniel shook his head and looked proudly at Husun as he hit the dashboard with his palm.
“This boat is a deep-sea trawler, it can navigate the most capricious seas with ease in the hands of an experienced sailor.”
It has been designed for deep-sea fishing, although it is slower than the racing vessels, its solidity is beyond doubt.
“If you say so, but I’m still not convinced.”
Hasun shook his head as he looked at the dashboard covered with adhesive.
“Are you questioning my experience as a sailor?”
Daniel’s smile disappeared, he released his aura as he took off his glasses and looked at Husun.
“Do you want to fight? I’m your man, I’m sure you paid for a poor quality boat and kept the rest of the money, normally I wouldn’t care, but now you’re jeopardizing my safety.”
Husun’s aura exploded out of his body.
Calm down darling, Judi came to pull Daniel’s left ear which ġrȯȧnėd in pain, Raigo tapped Husun’s shoulder and he immediately calmed down.
“If you fight during this expedition, I will have to throw you overboard, I make myself understood.”
Husun, seeing Raigo’s smile, nodded his head hastily like a frightened animal before continuing to board the rest of the equipment.
Daniel apologized to him and returned to the helm without saying a word while Judi came to apologize to Raigo.
“I’m sorry, he’s usually nice, but he gets really angry when someone questions his sailing skills.”
Raigo accepted Judi’s apology before helping Karla and Husun load the equipment on board.
Judi saw Raigo calm down and went back to Daniel, if he had really fought back, Raigo was going to fire them directly, they were his employees, not his friends, it was an expedition costing him nearly a billion Jenni, which he financed with all his savings, he had already pawned his license to be able to do this expedition plus an additional 200 million loan to the bank.
To undertake an expedition, one had to pay a tax to the government, which was quite expensive, not to mention waiting for permits and authorizations.
Raigo started to prepare this almost three months ago, when he had taken a trip in a branch of the ȧssociation, the information of the discovery of a new island with possible ancient ruins immediately interested him, moreover as soon as he learned that no Hunter had yet launched an expedition, he was astonished.
It was a chance to advance his career as a hunter and earn money.
Hunter’s career is not easy, advancing to Hunter One star, for example, requires you to make a great contribution in your field and to train at least one student.
The best way to advance therefore is to take part in expeditions, to make research in your field, for adventurous hunters like Raigo who are not in reality of any precise speciality, to bring a contribution in any fields such as archaeology for example is very beneficial for their careers.
Raigo, seeing that all the material had been loaded, turned to Daniel in the captain’s cabin.
“Daniel, is the boat ready?”
“Yes, boss.”
Daniel started the boat’s engines, Husun raised the anchor while Karla checked the equipment.
“Well, if everything is ready, I announce the beginning of the expedition, Daniel let’s go.”
“Ha-ha, I’ve been waiting for you to say that for week.” Daniel said cheerfully and then turned the rudder by pushing a lever.
The boat moved forward slowly, leaving the coasts of Taiju City.
