I Raised A Black Dragon - Chapter 277
The papers fluttered and then fell in front of the Minister of Justice. Reading them, he mumbled with a blanched face, “Maobiana… when…”
“It was transferred from Eleonora. Since it was transferred before her entire wealth was returned to society it should be valid.”
Noah had brought all the ownership and mining rights of all the minerals mined in the mine, so even her grandchildren would easily live off of it. So, she wasn’t really greedy over money but didn’t want to volunteer in Laurent for free.
Actually, solving Laurent’s problems with teleportation, healing magic, or a single fireball was as simple as brushing Muell’s hair. Despite that, her demanding a price was simply for the sake of her dragon’s dignity.
Noah hoped that Muell wouldn’t become some country’s guardian. Because she didn’t want to remain, with Muell, like an eye of the storm among the many powers on the continent.
And to prepare when she is gone, that is, after a long long time.
Muell looked up at her and blinked his innocent eyes. Then he smiled brightly when Noah swept his hair back.
It’s better for Muell to remain as Muell. May he not get involved in the complicated situations of the human world but remain as a noble being that everyone admires. May he receive love and awe wherever he is, without being taken advantage of or being abandoned when things get hostile.
On top of that, Eleonora and Adrian had already proved that human power alone can open a dazzling new era.
Someday, even if the day comes when Muell leaves this world like ancient dragons, the human world must develop in human hands in order for this place to survive. Noah tried hard not to imagine specifically when that ‘someday’ was.
The contract flew lightly and spread out in front of the emperor.
“If it is something that must require my help, please give me money. I will decide the amount per case based on the seriousness and urgency of the issue. Well, it’s not for the money, so we’ll set the amount realistically.”
No one refuted Noah’s request. It took less than five minutes for the emperor’s seal to be stamped on her conditional cooperation contract.
“A-are you done? Your suggestions are all done now, correct?”
The emperor looked like someone unfazed that his country had fallen. A clear difference in mood than that of Muell and Noah.
“Almost finished.”
“’Almost’…?”
Noah satisfactorily put the contract in a file. She wasn’t giving him the airs, but now she really was almost finished. Taking out the last document in the folder, she spoke again.
“And for the last…”
What now? The faces of the people ruffling in their chairs turned pale. The last item on her agenda wasn’t anything too serious, but to her, it was a hundred times more important than every single thing she’d said before now.
When she bravely raised the document, the gazes toward her way also became firmer. Kyle, who was handing over a copy of the document he’d gotten from Muell, looked back at Noah with surprise.
She intensified the look in her eyes and declared solemnly, “I request the adjustment of the special paid long-term vacation system of Kyle Leonard, the general manager of the Bureau of Investigation Security.”

10 minutes later…
Noah hugged in her arm the pile of papers stamped by the emperor and left the courtroom with a cheerful jaunt.
Done. It had all come true. Everything she had prepared over the past two weeks with no sleep ended nicely. She heaved a contented sigh.
“Anyway,” Kyle stopped her with a light pat. As soon as she turned around and faced him, both of her cheeks were pinched painlessly. “Please tell me before you do something rash. You won’t listen to me no matter how much I tell you.”
“When hab I done anyffing mash?”
Her pronunciation was off due to her cheeks being pinched. Noah groaned and protested to get away from him.
“I decided not to reverse it. Have you forgotten that we were supposed to go to Maobiana together? And I think you’ve really forgotten this, but you also promised to go to Sorrent and recuperate after this is over. That was clear. And I want to rest and do nothing for at least three months, so of course, an extended vacation is…”
“No, not that.” Kyle, not giving up, pressed her cheeks with his palms. “When are you going to plant the manual in ‘that thing’ again?”
Noah’s body froze the moment his eyes shifted over to Eleonora. Perhaps she was annoyed that he’d called her ‘that thing’, Eleonora shot back violently.
“You think I want to be this way? He touched my soul with his own two hands…”
“’Stay quiet.’ Ellie.”
Her pretty eyebrows went up, but the manual worked wonderfully. Though the look in her eyes as if she would kill Kyle was penetrating. The same went for Kyle. The two certainly despised each other.
“Paul, Penélope. Take her and go.”
Paul and Penélope grabbed and pulled the chains connecting Eleonora’s handcuffs. She didn’t take her eyes off Noah even while she was forced to walk away.
“What are you looking at? ‘Lower your eyes and obediently follow them.’ Ellie.”
The manual worked too wonderfully.
From now on, Eleonora would be locked away from society until her sins are washed away, and she won’t be able to see what kind of world the machines she designed and sent out of the prison she was deported from would become. That fact probably aggravated her the most.
