I Shall Be Happy (Attack On Titan Fan-fic) - Chapter 2
A man with blond hair was sitting down with a slight frown on his face, “The sky has been gloomy these past few days. Couldn’t go off too far in the forest today, those animals are going berserk or something. Hopefully, it’s not an epidemic…” He said while staring out of the sky with his golden eyes.
“Yes, honey. How much food do we have left,” A middle-aged woman who appeared to be in her mid-thirties replied. Her face seemed a bit wrinkled but even that cannot hide the beauty that she possessed.
The man sighed and faced his wife, “Not much, at most 2 days with thos-”
BAM!!! The door opened violently.
“MOM! DAD! There’s a kid out there in the forest! He fell from the sky!” A young girl with an appearance similar to her mom cried out with a hint of anxiousness.
“Huh? What do you mean?” The man furrowed his brows even further.
“There’s a kid! I saw him falling from the sky and made a big crater!”
“Mikasa. You’re not telling lies are y-” The woman said but was interrupted immeadiately
“NO! I SWEAR!” Mikasa said while pouted.
The blond hair got his hunting rifle ready and said, “C’mon, let’s check it out before it rains.”
———————————
“Right there!” Mikasa said out loud
The woman held back her child from running further, afraid that something might hurt her.
“Let me check,” the man said while holding his rifle at the crater. When he arrived near the crater, he could see the figure of a boy surrounded by something like a black fog. ‘This is not smoke, there’s no smell.’
He approached the boy slowly while holding up his rifle ready to fire. His blood began to boil and his eyes sharpen. His muscles started to bulge, looking ready to fight if necessary. Then he saw the boy open his eyes abruptly and immeadiately the surrounding smoke retreats into the boy’s body.
“Urgh!” With a cry of pain, the boy immediately fell asleep.
“Karl, is everything alright?” Mikasa’s mom asked her husband looking concerned.
The man looked back warmly at his wife while relaxing his expression, “Yeah, hun, this boy seems a bit weird but I think he’s alright now.”
After he said that, Mikasa broke loose from her mom’s grasp and approached the unconscious boy. Her mom also walking slowly toward the said boy.
Mikasa crouched down and touched the boy’s cheek. She had never really interacted with any boy much besides her dad. “Can I be his friend?” Mikasa pleaded with her sparkled grey eyes to her mom and dad.
Karl had no clue how he should reply to this question. He doesn’t know who this kid belongs to or if he’s dangerous or not. He turned to his wife and stared into her eyes, seemingly telling her ‘how should I reply?’
“How about we bring the boy to our home. When he wakes up we can ask about his identity.” She said while squatting down and patting her daughter’s hair.
