I Started As A Novel Villain - Chapter 175: Explosions
The ambiance was casual and attentive, as they were still aware of a significant danger approaching.
Wan Kun was well aware that if he was caught, he would be interrogated.
Still, he didn’t like the idea of being the only one left alive after all of his subordinates were killed once again.
Even though Wank Kun had practiced medicine before, it was only the fundamentals, so it wouldn’t help his condition.
Surprisingly, his only option out is to ignite the underground bombs with the denonator he has in his pocket.
In order for his revenge to be successful, Wan Kun needed to lead Mu Zijin and Ye Fei into the explosives, so he charged directly towards them at full speed.
He also grabbed the detonator from his pocket swiftly, and at the moment he was very close to them, he tried stretching his other hand to grab Ye Fei’s shirt.
Ye Fei, who was exceedingly cautious and alert, abruptly turned backwards and hit Wan Kun in the chest, stopping his momentum as he softly fell to the ground.
Wan Kun began to chuckle hysterically on the floor, gripping some type of button in his hand, while he began to cry, his eyes turning red and swollen from the tear gas.
The soldiers looked at Wan Kun with puzzled expressions at this moment.
It’s frightening to watch a human collapse in agony as their body becomes battered and severely injured.
But as Ye Fei and Mu Zijin approached him, they immediately recalled the explosives that Wan Kun claimed he had on him!
‘Pshhhhhh!’
They couldn’t stop the explosives from bursting.
A few seconds before, a figure seemed to be pushing something.
It’s Mu Zijin!
When she heard Wan Kun’s chuckle, she rushed quickly and courageously, exerting all of her might to push Ye Fei away in the hope that he would live instead of her.
Ye Fei, who felt her touch, was moved, and he grinned as he was filled with resolve and tenderness from Mu Zijin.
Mu Zijin made an instant decision in such a life-or-death circumstance!
A few people were extremely close to the high explosives buried by Wan Kun, nevertheless they noticed the button, but if the troops fired it, the explosives would not spark!
So, at this time, they tried to shoot it as fast as humanly possible.
While Zijin could have retreated to a safe distance from the explosives on her own, she instead noticed Ye Fei who was near Wan Kun.
She didn’t even have time to contemplate before she pulled Ye Fei away!
Ye Fei was astonished to see someone standing close to him.
Mu Zijin believed it was her turn to do the same after Ye Fei saved her countless times, since in her heart, Ye Fei had become an exceedingly important person to her, even going so far as to save him from a life and death scenario!
Despite the torrent of thoughts and emotions that washed over Mu Zijin in this situation, she could only think of one phrase, ‘Save him!’
Ye Fei also spotted Mu Zijin, who had clear sky eyes and a gorgeous blooming grin.
Immediately after, he pulled her into his arms before falling to the ground.
The sound of explosives engulfed the area in the following second.
The soldiers were immediately concerned for their captain after hearing a tremendous popping sound.
Wan Kun, the most challenging aspect of the problem, was completely out cold from the explosion’s shock wave yet his body was nowhere to be seen.
As the smoke from the explosions formed a foggy atmosphere, the awful aroma of a body could be smelled, and fresh red crimson blood could be seen all over the area.
Looking everywhere, Ye Fei’s mind was cloudy and his whole body was bruised.
Immediately after, his eyes went blank and he lost consciousness.
Even if Ye Fei’s body isn’t the same as the average person, it still consisted of flesh and blood, more so, when it was in contact with explosives!
…. [Scene Change]…
He wasn’t sure how long it took, but he eventually awoke.
Just before this, he felt a warm embrace, comparable to being held in the arms of your mother as a baby.
When Ye Fei opened his eyes, he found himself in a hospital bed.
Looking around, there seems to be a white old ceiling and an old warmth surrounding these white colored walls.
The air he breathed was weird.
Then, he drank a small pour of water that was on the tray next to him.
Ye Fei subconsciously rubbed his eyes, and as soon as he moved his arm, he felt extreme pain as he recalled Wan Kun’s maniacal chuckle while he hit the detonator button.
As Ye Fei gently turned his body, he noticed Wen Xiaoting’s surprised expression.
Wen Xiaoting stared at Ye Fei with concern; it seems he’s still recovering.
As Ye Fei maintained his gaze, he instinctively arched his eyebrows and remembered Mu Zijin, who was attempting to pull him back.
With that scene in mind, Ye Fei asked, “How long have I been in a coma?.”
“Not too long. Less than four hours.” Wen Xiaoting replied hurriedly.
He nodded at her response then asked immediately, “How about Zijin, what happened to her?.”
Instead of retreating and protecting herself in a life-or-death situation, Mu Zijin tried to pull him back.
Mu Zijin isn’t the sort of person who expresses herself freely, but her actions speak for themselves.
If there is a lady in the world who will give her life for you, the answer is self-evident.
The way Mu Zijin went about it is just another way of confessing.
So, it is assurable to say, her attitude is one of a kind, and her feelings were also different at this time, and Ye Fei was aware of this since he now regarded Mu Zijin to be his woman!
Well for now, let’s not think about it.
Wen Xiaoting’s eyes were also full of warmth, as she muttered, “Some of the soldiers near Wan Kun were wearing bulletproof vests, but the doctor said that the injuries in Mu Zijin’s body are more serious than yours. Also, her ribs broke and she’s still in a coma.”
Ye Fei stood up and said, “Which ward is she in? I’m going to see her.”
“I’ll help you walk,” Wen Xiaoting said hastily.
When he heard her response, Ye Fei pressed the seven different acupuncture points on his body and waved his hand to show that she wasn’t needed.
He soon went to Mu Zijin’s ward under the guidance of Wen Xiaoting.
