Chapter 302: Realistic Nightmare
Late at night, thick clouds blocked out the moonlight.
Qiu Tong bent over and took out a dagger from her boot and held it in front of her. She looked at her surroundings warily and carefully circled around the security booth to the corner behind the Liqing Corporation. Qiu Tong picked up the curved hook she carried with her and flicked it twice.
The eight-clawed hook accurately hooked onto a drainage pipe. Qiu Tong pulled hard and nimbly climbed up.
Her figure was light and graceful, pressing against the wall like a lizard in the dark night.
Qiu Tong arrived at the air conditioner on the middle floor and took a breather.
She lowered her head and glanced at the ground, which was more than 10 meters high. There was no fear or nervousness in her eyes. Instead, there was a hint of disdain. A cold wind blew over and the rope swayed. It made one’s heart skip a beat.
Qiu Tong waited for the other security guards to leave before climbing to the top floor in two minutes.
She used a dagger to pry open a crack in the window. She took out two grains of sand from her bag and threw them to the ground. After confirming that there were no other anti-theft devices, she jumped down.
Qiu Tong patted the dust off her palm and looked around the CEO office of the Liqing Corporation for clues.
It was a little different from when she came earlier in the day. Qiu Tong noticed that the Picasso painting hanging on the wall had been changed to another one. The painting’s abstract eyes looked a little strange and terrifying under the moonlight.
She slowly approached as if she was subconsciously attracted to him. She raised her hand and searched the canvas.
Kacha! When Qiu Tong’s fingers touched the eyeball in the portrait, the sound of a mechanism being activated could be heard.
She turned around warily and watched as the walls opened to the sides, revealing an independent secret room.
“Looks like this should be the hidden space Shao An mentioned…”
Qiu Tong muttered to herself as she walked in to check. She realized that there were two blinking computers in the empty secret room. She would need a password to unlock them.
“Go and investigate Jin Yang’s whereabouts. It’s best if you can create trouble for them and chase them away.”
“I don’t want them to discover too many of the corporation’s secrets, understand?”
The mixed-race man’s voice came from the corridor.
Qiu Tong hid behind a curtain nervously. She could hear her heart beating as she maintained her stance, ready to attack at any moment. She swallowed silently, confirming the enemy’s location through the faint light from the curtain.
“I think I left something in the parking lot. Go get it for me.”
The mixed-race man stopped at the door and instructed his assistant.
Instead of entering the office, he went to the bathroom.
Qiu Tong took the opportunity to leave through the window. She used the zipline to descend to the bottom of the building and quickly disappeared into the darkness.
In the villa, Jin Yang heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that she had returned safely.
Qiu Tong told Jin Yang what she had found. “I think evidence of the Liqing Corporation’s misdeeds and the experimental drug they are developing are all in that secret room. They will be trying to chase us off soon. We need to act before they do anything.”
“I’ll lead a team to attack the Liqing Corporation tomorrow.”
Jin Yang made his decision. Qiu Tong nodded in agreement and requested to join the attack team.
At dawn, Qiu Tong had a very realistic nightmare in Jin Yang’s arms. She dreamed that she was standing at the edge of the cliff, with Jin Yang’s broad and straight back in front of her. The whistling wind brushed past her ears.
Qiu Tong vaguely saw a familiar figure standing in the light opposite her, but she could not hear the contents of his conversation with Jin Yang.
Bang… With a violent explosion, Qiu Tong felt a surge of warmth spread out before her eyes. Jin Yang’s figure slowly fell to the ground. She was in so much pain that she couldn’t breathe as she shouted loudly. It was only when Jin Yang shook her shoulder that she woke up from the nightmare.
“Did you have a nightmare?”
Jin Yang gently wiped the cold sweat off her forehead. “Don’t be afraid. It might be because of the change in the environment that made you so tense.”
Qiu Tong’s palms were covered in sweat. A voice in her mind kept reminding her that she seemed to have forgotten something.
This uneasy feeling made her desperate to absorb Jin Yang’s warmth. Qiu Tong pressed Jin Yang’s shoulders down and threw the thin silk blanket to the side. She lifted her silk sleeping robe and straddled Jin Yang’s waist, kissing him without a word.
Jin Yang sensed her desire and placed his palm on her slender waist, stroking upwards.
His fingertips gently traced Qiu Tong’s chest before he cupped her soft and plump breasts with his hands.
Qiu Tong’s body went limp as she laid on Jin Yang’s chest. His hot breath sprayed on her delicate neck, causing her body to tremble uncontrollably. When she closed her eyes, she would remember the scene in her dream. Her muscles tensed as she straightened her slender waist.
“Mmm…”
Jin Yang grunted. His eyes flickered with surprise when he saw Qiu Tong’s actions.
Qiu Tong slipped him inside her.
Jin Yang gritted his teeth and flipped over to press her down. The two of them hugged each other in the bedroom. The beautiful and ambiguous atmosphere lasted until the sun rose. The room was filled with the scent of love.
