I Was Forced To Marry The Enemy - Chapter 44
~DANTE~
I grabbed the man by his collar and dragged him across the ground before pointing a gun at his head. “Where’s the money?”
He immediately pointed to his truck, without wasting any time my brothers started searching it until they found the loaded bag.
I let go of the man and joined the rest of my brothers on the Jeep.
“You’ve been extra tensed these days.” Mateo noted while reloading the gun. “Does it have to do with that girl again?”
I clenched my jaw, I didn’t want another reminder of the whole situation with Kyomi. I buried myself in work and spent most of my time collecting money from everyone who owed us in order to get my mind off it.
It’s been two days, two whole fuċkɨnġ days and we haven’t heard anything from Dominic yet. I was restless, I couldn’t sleep. All because I had seen him hit her that day, how was she doing?
Was she okay?
Did he hit her again?
“It looks like we have company.” Hugo pointed out as the jeep pulled up to the mansion.
“Do you recognize that license plate number?” Mateo asked me.
I shook my head. Whenever a strange vehicle pulled up at our home we were always on high alert. We had many enemies, there were the few who were so scared of us they wouldn’t try anything stupid and then there were the others who didn’t care for their own lives and attacked whenever they felt too. Of course, most of the time it either ended with their deaths or some of them becoming handicapped for the rest of their lives. We didn’t make that choice for them, they did.
If they knew they couldn’t repay the money that they owed us then they shouldn’t have burrowed it in the first place. Those weren’t the only kind of enemies we had however, there were other loan sharks who wanted our place, in order to do that they needed to kill us first.
Therefore, our lives were always at risk.
Everything seemed to be okay on the outside, the guards were all there.
That was a good sign.
As Hugo parked the vehicle, I quickly jumped down, my brothers on each side of me.
“Do we keep the guns?” Fabio asked.
I chuckled. “I mean, if we want to leave a good impression on whichever guests we have here today.”
“Maybe it’s just someone looking for money again.” Mateo pointed out.
I gave him an incredulous look. “With that kind of vehicle? Come on Mateo, no one’s coming in that kind of vehicle to burrow money.”
As we rounded the corner and entered the living room, every muscle in my body froze.
Kyomi.
