I Was Forced To Marry The Enemy - Chapter 45
~KYOMI~
From the moment we’d entered The Clarkes home my eyes were already searching for Dante. However, there was no sign of him or his brothers.
Instead we were greeted by both of his parents and his sisters.
Both of his sisters were looking at me with a guarded look, like they weren’t sure what to do with me or what reason my family had come to visit.
So had they been kept in the dark of everything going on? I found that very hard to believe.
“I never thought I’d live to see the day that Dominic Palmer enters my home at his own given will.” Kevlar said as he took a seat on the sofa and propped his hands behind his neck. “What can we do for you?”
“Is your offer still up?” My father asked, getting straight to the point
I saw the pleased look on Kevlar’s face at my father’s question. He was more thrilled than anyone else which completely surprised me, Kevlar hated my father just as much as my father hated him, then why did he want me to get married to his son so badly?
Something didn’t seem right at all.
Before I had time to ponder more on that thought, the sound of footsteps caught our attention.
Dante.
Even though it had only been two days since I’d last seen him, my body seemed to come alive at finally being able to have him right here in front of me.
I didn’t want to feel like this, though it might help considering I was about to get married to him.
I felt my dad stiffen besides me before I heard my mother’s quiet gasp. It took me a few seconds but I finally caught on to what they were looking at, Dante along with his brothers had guns in their hands and were holding it like it were nothing.
Those things were dangerous and yet they walked about the house with it like they were toys?
Was this the sort of atmosphere I would have to grow accustomed to from now on?
I soon forgot about all of that however, for Dante’s heated gaze was on me. His eyes were hungrily taking in every single part of my body and it made me feel as though I were nȧkėd before him.
I tried to remind myself that my parents were right next to me as well as Dante’s entire family yet I couldn’t help myself.
From the moment Dante stood before me all rational thought always flew right out the window.
