I Was Forced To Marry The Enemy - Chapter 46
~KYOMI~
“What’s going on?” Dante asked as he warily stepped further into the room.
“Can you ask your sons to kindly put away those deadly weapons?” My father demanded.
Dante’s brothers smirked at his words before following their father’s orders to put them away.
I watched as all brothers along with Dante all leaned up against the wall and crossed their arms over their ċhėsts as they waited for an explanation as to why we were here.
Though I think it should have been obvious by now.
Why else would my father ever come here?
“Right.” Kevlar finally said. “Continue with what you were saying.”
“I asked, is the offer still up?” My father repeated himself, I could tell he was trying his best to hold it all together and it only made me feel more guilty than I already felt.
Dante’s father smiled once more. “Fortunately for you, yes it is.”
I felt some of the tension leave my father’s body, saw it in the way his shoulders relaxed a little at Kevlar’s response to his question.
That tension seemed to make its way into my body now.
If the offer was still up then it meant that this wedding was most definitely going to happen.
“In that case, we accept the offer.” My father finally said after a moment of silence.
Kevlar rose up from the sofa and clasped his hands together. “Well isn’t that exciting news, when shall we make this announcement to the public?” He asked my father.
“The sooner the better.”
I stared at my father in shock. I was still his daughter, why would he want to give me away so soon? It was almost as though he couldn’t wait to get rid of me!
“Can I use the washroom?” I asked, unable to take anymore of the madness happening before my eyes.
“Sure hun.” Dante’s mother finally spoke up for the first time since our arrival. “Violetta, why don’t you show her where to find it.”
As I rose up I could feel Dante’s eyes on me, could tell by the way my skin prickled as though I were being touched.
“Mother.” Dante cut in. “I’ll take her.”
My eyes snapped to his in shock.
I wasn’t ready for any alone time with him, any time spent with him alone was simply dangerous. I couldn’t control myself around him, something that I’d tried to do on countless occasions and had failed miserably!
