I Was Forced To Marry The Enemy - Chapter 52
~KYOMI~
“Where are your brothers?” Mateo asked, joining us before I had a chance to respond to Dante’s unbelievably sweet gesture.
I gently touched the ring before looking up at Mateo. “My brothers won’t be back for another month.” I answered, if my brothers were here things wouldn’t go this way.
I knew that much.
Evan smirked at that. “That’s a pity, I would have looked forward to some more fun around here.”
My brothers hated Dante and his brothers just as much as my father hated them, I believe it may be because of the fact that a lot of times they ended up liking the same girls and for some reason the girls went with Dante’s brothers.
I guess girls really did prefer the bad boys.
I was sure the girls all regretted their decisions however because their relationship with my brothers would have lasted a lot longer than it did with Dante’s brothers.
It was hard to trap a Clarke, girls went crazy over them, everyone wanted a chance to make a Clarke fully theirs. Yet, no one had been able to do that up to this day.
In fact, I was the first to ever get engaged to one of the Clarke brothers. And it seemed as though I would also be the first to get married to one.
As far as I knew, only one of the brothers had been in a committed relationship. The eldest, Hugo. But the girl had somehow died, I didn’t know too many details on the entire thing.
But other than that, the rest of them were full on players. Dante included.
So to say that I was surprised that he’d agreed to marry me would be an understatement. I still felt as though something wasn’t right here, I was missing something.
Dante never once showed me attention for my entire life only to start looking my way all of a sudden. Then right after he’d made sure to make it clear that he wanted me…a reporter suddenly caught us in the act?
This didn’t seem right at all.
I turned my attention back to him but he wasn’t looking at me, he was having a conversation with his brothers about my brothers. They no doubt were excited to break the news to them.
Why were Dante and his family so happy about this arrangement when they disliked my family so much? Shouldn’t they be just as unhappy as my parents?
