I Was Forced To Marry The Enemy - Chapter 66
~ Kyomi ~
Was he really asking me where I’d been? After all the information he’d dropped onto me today, did he expect me to just come home like normal with a smile on my face?
“That’s none of your business Dante.” I hissed.
His jaw clenched and a muscle ticked in his jaw. “Where have you been?” He repeated.
I folded my arms as I glared at him. “Why do you care?” I asked. “Where I’ve been should mean nothing to you considering everything was just a big lie. You used me just to get to my father Dante!” I shouted.
The look on his eyes softened but only for a quick second. “I still would like to know where you’ve been.” He said. “I’ve been worried.”
Worried?
I wanted to laugh in his face.
Worried?
Why would he be worried for someone he faked feelings for?
“You can come better than that Dante, I’m not falling for any of your lies anymore.” I told him. “I don’t see why you’re lying now either, surely there is still something you want to get from me.”
His lips pressed into a thin line. “I know you won’t believe a single word I’m saying to you. But I was. I don’t even have your cell number, I had no idea on how to get into contact with you. You should have come home a lot earlier Kyomi.” He said. “You don’t understand, you’re now a part of my family. We have enemies everywhere, your life could be in danger and you wouldn’t even know it.”
I narrowed my eyes at him. “The way I see it, you’re the only danger in my life right now. You’re the one who has hurt me the most and as such, you’re the one I should and would be staying away from.”
I saw the way his eyes widened in shock at my words, there was a hint of something else as well but I couldn’t read into it well.
I didn’t wait for him to respond as I walked around him. However, without warning he grabbed my arm and pulled me to face him.
I gasped at my body’s reaction to having his hands on me again.
I wanted to scream.
I didn’t want to feel anything for him.
My body was being a traitor! His eyes were searching mine, it felt as though he was trying to see straight into my thoughts. I fought the urge to shiver at the feelings racing through me.
No . . . I wouldn’t do this again.
“Let go of me Dante.” I warned.
