Now that the week field trip passed the lessons began.
Although lessons like Piano,swimming, and flower arrangements are all done at home.
The teachers go to our house.
I was really surprised , I never knew it that was a thing. But I guess that’s how it is done by rich people.
Is this really japan? Is this not overseas?
This is such a foreign concept for my common sense I’ve had from my previous life. So my surprise was unintentionally showed.
No this is seriously. . . . . the rich people life.
So the lessons go like this so far.
The piano practice is just how to sit properly and place your hands
Swimming is practicing opening your eyes in the water.
Flower arrangement is practicing the proper way to sit.
And Etc. It was really just the foundation.
I couldn’t believe I was being teach by these types of people. I sometimes unintentionally asked”We’ll you teach this thing?” asking about trivial things.
However their way of teaching was very fine and polite.Though the instructor’s eyes were serious.
They are trying to teach us alone.
So it was relentlessly being drilled into us.
Our lessons became a lot of hard work come the sixth week,but I never thought of quitting.
My sister as well did not bring up any complaints.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Three months have already past since our lessons started.
The first semester finished and the summer vacation has come.
Speaking of summer vacation for elementary school there is many summer homework. And a big research project. For Shirayuki academy there is no homework and only a free research.
The reason is simple. It’s useless.
The people who give priorities to lessons and assignments can continue to do so over the summer and it gets rid of complaints and burnout cause of it. This became the way its done several years ago.
I am happy though. It means more time to relax!
I was thinking that before summer vacation. . . . .but life has different plans.
*DanDanDan*!
There were loud knocks on my door. And then I heard an energetic voice.
“Yuu-chan, Let’s play~!”
Contrary to my expectation I forgot. When elementary students get their homework out of the way, they only want to play. . . .
The demands for me to play repeated everyday.
Even if I refuse they don’t know give up or they don’t care about what that word means.Many times they would do hex like chants or talking to coax me into playing.
Moreover it is in front of my door so I can’t escape and continues forever. So eventually I break.
“Geez, Stop coming to my door like this everyda- – -y . . . .”
For today I lost as well and gave a deep sigh.
When I opened my door with “geez” there was not only the ordinary three faces I am used to but also my mother.
. . . .Did she hear?
Usually I use “I(私)” in front of my parents .But when I use “I(俺)” in front of them they get visibly angry.
(TN:For all of the mental monologue and most of even chatting she uses (俺)(Boku) which is a more masculine version of I.It’s not super manly but if you are a proper girl you would use the polite (私)(Watashi). Btw “my” uses “I” in the grammar.)
But right now.
“Yuudachi?What wonderful first person pronoun did you just use?”
I froze.
My mother is looking at me with that smile.
. . . .
What excuse could I use?
Hmm, I could play it off as a joke? Should I just go its a joke I don’t use it all the time?
“Hmm?Have you never heard mother? Yuu-chan always uses “I(俺)”.Right everybody?”
“Yep always saying it.”
“Always.”
I was unexpectedly ambushed.
“That mother. . .this . . .”
“Let’s fix this first person usage over the summer vacation. Right Yuudachi?”
“That um . . . .”
“Right?”
“Y-yes. . . . “
I nodded losing any ability to say yes or no.
At the moment my relax time completely disappeared.
