Author’s Note:
It’s been a while. I had completely forgotten about it.

“Hey, did I ever tell Akira where I live?”
“Nnー? No, I don’t think you ever didー”
“Then why is he here?”
I said grimly, with a slightly stronger tone of voice.
We had a successful Christmas and now it is two days later, on the 27th. For some reason, Akira is at home. Before noon, I was suddenly visited at home. I didn’t think it was Akira, so I answered the door normally and ended up letting him in the house as I was pushed to do so.
“Well well, isn’t it fine? I just came here to play a little. I asked Koyomi for your address.”
Curse you Koyomi, telling him unnecessary things.
“Annoying. You’re a trouble. Go home.”
‘You know…… you’re not a good friend.’
“Haah, this is troublesome…..”
Akira says this while lying on the sofa and playing a game.
“Ah, or is it that? Koyomi is the only one that gets special treatment?”
“Look here, it’s not like I treat Koyomi specially. In the first place, Koyomi have never barged into my house uninvited like you.”
“But if I told you in advance, you’d still refuse. But if it’s Koyomi, you wouldn’t say no, would you? That’s what you call special treatment.”
‘You don’t know that. Maybe I might say OK. I mean, I think it’s too one-sided to call it a promise.’
“But you’re going to the meeting place after all, right? She was so happy about it. Hew hew hew, how passionate.”
Akira looks at me with a grin. I’m getting angry. I had no choice.
“Hey? How about you go home for real?”
I glared at her with cold eyes. When Akira sees this, his attitude suddenly changes and he begins to fidget.
“N-, no wayー. It’s just a joke. Okay? It’s fine right? Let’sーplayー?”
“……Haah, alright. I get it.“
“Really!? Thank youー!”
I was defeated by Akira’s gaze and ended up agreeing to it.
Because when a handsome guy looks at me like that, I feel guilty. In an instant, I feel like I’ve made enemies of all the women in the country. This is why good-looking men are……
There is no point in staying still, so I get up anyway and tell Akira.
“Then let’s just go for now.”
“Eh? Where to?”
‘It’s dinner. It’s lunchtime and you haven’t eaten anything yet. Let’s go to a random family restaurant.”
“Ehー”
Akira looks at us with obvious disapproval.
‘What? What’s wrong?”
‘Since we’re here, why don’t you cook me some rice, Kouyou? It’s delicious. I want to eat it.”
“I don’t want to. It’s too troublesome.”
“Whyー. Isn’t it fine!”
“Next time ok. For the time being, it’s impossible today.”
“Ehーfor sure alright?”
“Alright, alright, I promise.”
People who say that are usually the type that doesn’t fulfill their promise. So there should be no problem with me saying this now.
Somehow, I managed to persuade Akira and we headed for the family restaurant. On the way, Akira was fiddling with his phone frequently. I was thinking as I touched my phone that he was rude for doing that when he was the one who invited me. I pulled a good one at the gacha, so I forgot about that soon.
◇◇◇
When the door is opened, a clanging echoes through the restaurant. Immediately, several shopkeepers simultaneously shout ‘Welcome! at the same time. It’s a splendid teamwork.
I sat at the table that I was guided to.
“So? What do you want?”
“Haah? I told you I just want to play right.”
“Is it really just that?”
“That’s right. There must be some times when you just feel like you just want to invite someone to play without any particular reason.”
“Nnー? Is that so……..”
As a loner, I don’t really understand that. But when I was in junior high school, I do remember that people used to come and play with me even though they had nothing to do.
“Then, does that mean that you haven’t thought about where to go to?”
“Yeah.”
Well, as far as playing is concerned, it will be no problem if I leave it all to Akira. While I was thinking about that, the waiter came and took our order. It seems that Akira had pressed the button before I knew it. I haven’t even looked at the menu yet. I glared at Akira, but he seems to be unconcerned about it and is taking my order. When he eventually finishes, the waitress looked at me. There’s no time to get lost.
“Then, this hamburger.”
“I understandー”
I opened the menu at random, selected at random what was pictured on it and ordered, the waiter gave a quick check and quickly disappeared to the back.
“Akira……”
“I’m sorry, sorry. I forgot about it.”
“Haah, well it’s fine.”
“Are you sure?”
Afterwards, when the two of us were chatting ……or rather, Akira was asking about things with Rekizuki one-sidedly, and I was letting it slide appropriatel. The food was brought out, so we put our hands together and had some. The food was normally delicious. And so we finish eating, and I enjoy an oversized parfait with a cup of hot cocoa as an after-dinner dessert.
Then Akira looks at me with drawn eyes.
“You, isn’t that sweet?”
“? It’s sweet though?”
“No, I mean…that dessert”
“There’s none though.”
“It definitely looks delicious, but with that amount, won’t you get bored of it?”
“Of course not. Are you stupid?”
“No! The stupid one here is you. Stupid tongue!”
“Are you really saying that to me? To me whose parents are both cooks?”
“Aah, I feel bad for your parents. To be able to eat this much sweet stuff. Normally you would be tired of it, you know?”
“That’s because they don’t really like parfait. People who really like parfait never get bored of it.”
“Hahaha, you’re magnificent. You’re definitely getting diabetes in the future.”
“All the more reason why I should eat as much as possible while I still can.”
“……….That’s one splendid way to think of it.”
─ ─ Karankarankaran.
“Welcomeー!”
Apparently, someone has entered the room. They continued talking regardless.
“You know, parfaits are usually made in such a way that you never get bored of them. And there’s a lot of fruit on top, right?”
“But if you eat it that often.”
“That’sーwhyー, they made it in a way so that you don’t get bored. People who say that kind of stuff are usually young.”
“What do you know about parfait?”
“That’s Kouyou’s parfait!”
A familiar female voice from behind interrupts me. I heard the sound of footsteps approaching. After a while, they stopped. I turn around. There is a woman who should not be there.
“Ugeh.”
“Isn’t that a little horrible?”
“Nope.”
“You’re so cruel! Or rather, so you are free after all.”
Look at that, she got angry. That’s why I said ugeh.
That’s right, Koyomi was standing behind me.
