I Was The Real Owner of Elheim - Chapter 67
The Crown Prince’s palace was filled with flames.
Maybe because of the secret underground tunnel, there were many knights going in and out at first, but no one was able to come close to the palace when the fire got worse.
“It’s good.”
Danterion grinned and moved on toward his destination which was the Crown Prince’s office.
Soon after, the door that he was looking for came to view.
“Found it finally.”
The palace was built with strong foundations, so it did not collapse easily.
Danterion pushed the door and entered the office.
The door to the underground tunnel was mysteriously well-hidden.
There was no guard in sight.
Even the Crown Prince’s men, who were guarding the place, also seemed to have avoided it due to the fire.
Danterion headed down the stairs, and his purpose was to see the Spirit King that was sealed underground.
‘The first owner’s room in Elheim wouldn’t even open.’
There was little hope of meeting the Water Spirit King now.
The Death Spirit King that was sealed in the basement wasn’t that bad either.
With that in mind, Danterion reached a large secret hall.
The fire hasn’t reached there yet, but the temperature inside was already hot.
The Death Figure in the air still existed.
There was one difference between the two Spirit Kings.
The nameless sealed Spirit King always held an angry face.
Danterion held his breath when he saw that the Spirit King’s eyes were open.
Then her black eyes rolled slowly to meet Danterion’s.
Her face, distorted by anger, was surprisingly dry and expressionless.
Danterion whistled.
“Oh, this makes you feel alive, doesn’t it?”
Then the Death Spirit King, who appeared to be a woman, smacked her lips in the air.
The language of the Spirit King flowed into Dante’s head.
[Are you a person of water?]
“What?”
His eyes grew wide.
[I asked if you’re a person of water?]
The Death Spirit King was clearly awake.

“Now, we can say that we’re done with the verification, Your Majesty.”
The fire in the greenhouse was extinguished at the expense of Hwi-Amin becoming an unawakener.
Without knowing Elheim’s internal dilemma, no one would have noticed why Hwi-Amin cried.
‘It’s over now.’
Only then could the Duke of Elheim got a little bit of hope.
Now that Hwi-Amin has publicly demonstrated his powers, the Emperor would step back down.
The Duke, Aynias, and Lian would be safe.
“You have demonstrated the Power of Water well, Duke.”
The Emperor replied. He acknowledged their Power of Water, but it was no doubt a mockery of the Duke of Elheim.
“But isn’t the Duke’s third son the only one who has shown their abilities yet?”
Originally, in situations like these, the Emperor would have to consider Elheim’s pride.
However, he did not seem to have any intention of letting go of the descendants of Elheim like this.
“Let my sons pass freely.”
What the Duke of Elheim despised the most were the unawakeners.
A proud, strong-hearted Elheim who was born into a family of Water Awakeners but could not use their power.
For a moment, the Duke realized that somehow, the Emperor had already known the internal dilemma of Elheim.
“It’s your turn now, Duke.”
His nightmare has just begun.
“Show us your capabilities of wielding and producing water in front of everyone. If you do so, our suspicions will be gone without you having to put the fire out.”
The Duke felt his mouth go dry and his hands were sweating.
The Water Awakeners have completely concealed the fact that their powers have slowly disappeared.
There was only one force that knew that the Power of Water had disappeared from Elheim.
It was Birce, where Liarte, the real owner of their abilities, lived.
‘He knew from the beginning?’
A world where the Power of Water disappeared would be hell.
Why was Elheim able to rule in an Empire like this?
It wasn’t about accumulating wealth, being good at politics, or being the best at war. It was only thanks to the Power of Water.
“Did I ask a difficult favor, Duke?”
What the Emperor wanted was the submission of the Duke of Elheim.
However, his pride was still there, which made him hesitate.
If he had been quick-witted, he would have fallen into his knees in front of the Emperor.
The Duke was so upright that he couldn’t even fathom thinking of such an idea.
“You…. did not.”
“Isn’t the Duke the head of Elheim, which is called the Owner of Water? So should be better than your third son.”
He couldn’t become an unawakener. Being such a hated and neglected being was a great punishment for the descendants of Elheim.
The Duke no longer looked as cold as usual. He just shook his head, fumbling and pale.
However, the Emperor did not grant such an excuse.
“Then get moving, Duke.”
The Duke’s lips moved slowly.
Liarte was the only savior who could return the Power of Water to Elheim.
A being that was abandoned and trampled on by the duke, her own flesh and blood. It can never be undone.
Asking Liarte to save the Duke would be unlikely.
“What?”
At that moment, the sky turned Death. It happened in a blink of an eye.
When the short phenomenon ended, one of the Emperor’s knights exclaimed.
“The fire is out!”
The fire that has been burning for the past few hours has been reduced to embers.
There was a cold sweat behind the Duke’s back.
Of course, the fire was not extinguished because of the Duke.
He thought how did it happened, but more than that, a sense of relief spread all over his body.
He had barely survived.
“What a pity, I’ll see the power of the Duke next time.”
The Emperor made a mysterious expression and withdrew without hesitation.
It seemed that the investigation into the cause of the fire going out was more important than the Duke of Elheim.
He was lucky this time, but there was no guarantee that this kind of opportunity would come again.
Hwi-Amin, who was beside the Duke, collapsed in shock.
Aynias was also out of his mind.
‘If only he had…..’
Everyone was thinking the same thing at that moment.
Liarte’s absence continued to permeate with bitter regret.

Being born by dividing the original Spirit King, who was dyed in evil and darkness, in half.
The Death Spirit King was one of the two pieces.
Danterion felt instinctive goosebumps the moment their eyes met.
Although the Water Spirit King was evil, he did not have such a deep hatred.
“Did you call me a person of water?”
[Your body smells like water.]
In a strange voice, the Death Spirit King said.
Unlike the Water Spirit King, which seemed to be close to neutral gender, this sealed Spirit King looked like a female figure.
Danterion had always ignored instinctive warnings and chased his interests.
“Yes, I am a Water Awakener. Well, at least I still am. What about you?”
[I am the past.]
“Past?”
He approached the Death Spirit King, who said some unexpected words.
He previously saw the Crown Prince taking this Spirit King’s energy as powder and sprinkling it on some bones.
“Yes.”
Danterion grinned.
“Can you go back in time?”
At first, he thought that the bones just turned into an assassin.
However, when he heard the words ‘the past’, he felt like he knew the answer to the Death powder.
It didn’t last long, but it made the bones return to their original form.
[As long as I can reach it.]
It means it’s possible.
At the Spirit King’s words, Danterion was delighted.
“It was worth spying on the Crown Prince because I knew it would be fun.”
He has always been obsessed with ancient and strong beings.
Black eyes like the abyss turned towards Danterion.
[Your body smells like a fake.]
“A fake? Oh you mean Lian.”
The tone of affection he used to have, ceased in those words.
If Lian was still a strong awakener, he would have his respect.
However, Lian’s not normal. He’s a fake that lived by sucking on other people’s abilities and vitality.
For a moment, a slight, cold contempt flashed across Danterion’s face.
“So, what about the fake one?”
[We need a fake one.]
“If you tell me why, I’ll cooperate as much as I can.”
The Spirit King, stained with hatred and evil, smiled creepily.
[It’s to find the other half of me and become the Complete Spirit King.]
Most people would have ran away after seeing the expression on the Death Spirit King’s face.
However, Danterion was a man who was enthusiastic about this, saying it was more fun.
“Really? Good, I’ll bring the fake one but not right now.”
Lian wasn’t precious to him anymore.
“But I need proof to believe that you are a spirit related to the past.”
He was just simply curious.
“Can you bring the palace back to the time when the fire hasn’t started yet? Give it a try.”
[Then I’ll have to sleep for a few months.]
“If I bring in the fake, it’s not a losing business for you. I don’t think that’s a bad deal.”
There have not been many instances of fakes being born unharmed.
The probability of them having the Power of Water were even slimmer.
He had persuaded a fallen Spirit King with something that the Spirit King desired.
[I’ll wait for the fake one.]
That last words echoed eerily.
Soon, towards the flames of the Imperial Palace, the Death Spirit King’s powers unfolded.
A Death fog gathered around the palace.
Hiding himself with the Power of Water, he came up from the ground.
The fire that had been burning so hard got wiped out.
