After taking a bath and eating his breakfast Xiao Feng went to his father’s study room.

He looked at the middle aged man busying himself with the documents in the table.

“father.” He said silently.

The truth is since his soul merged with the other half of his. That also means that he shall accept the man before him. And he had no trouble with that because the man has loved him so much or the other half of his soul.

However silent his words are, since his father is powerful, his senses are sensitive.

The middle aged man heard the soft matter of his son’s address.

He looked at the young man near the door and smiled affectionately.

“Feng-er why are you standing there? Come on, come here. Do you need something?” his father asked indulgingly.

Xiao Feng walked nearer to his father and said. “I need nothing father but to make you happy and proud of me and become strong. I need to exact vengeance to those who have threatened my life. I only came here to let you know that I am going out and look for those who have hurt me.” He calmly replied.

“alright then, I will call someone to accompany you.” His father replied and attempted to stand so that he can call someone.

“father no need for that. I believe that I am stronger than them.” He told his father.

The man looked at his son. My son has grown up. He’s not weak anymore like he was before. Our Xiao clan will prosper someday with his lead.

“alright son, when do you plan to leave?” he asked.

“I plan to leave this afternoon.” He replied to his father’s question.

“uhn, I have received a note that your fiance is coming this morning.” His father reminded him.

A servant came to the study room and kneeled in front of the father and son.

“My Lord the Patriarch, Young Master the Young Miss Li have come. She’s requesting for an Audience.” The servant reported.

“Invite her in, and prepare the foods and wine.” The patriarch told the servant.

When Xiao Feng and the patriarch came out of the room, they immediately went to the receiving area. A Young Lady in red with her face covered in veil is sitting in the sandalwood chair which is exquisitely carved with ancient runes.

Lifting her head he saw the one that she always pays attention to.. her love Xiao Feng with his father.

She stood and lifted the hem of her dress and bowed slightly to the patriarch.

For her love, she’s willing to bow to the father of his mortal body.

“Li Qin pays her respect to Uncle The Patriarch.” She said softly.

“Uh, Qin-er dear you don’t have to call me uncle, just call me father from now on.” He looked to the young lady affectionately.

Xiao Feng’s face blushed in embarrassment.

Hearing the father of Xiao Feng’s words, the lips of the lady in red curved upward. He liked the way how the patriarch has treated her. She did not linger in the mortal’s emotion but the patriarch has indeed treated her with affection and acceptance.

“Father.” The lady bowed to the patriarch as she had confirmed the change of address.

Xiao Feng’s ears turned red from embarrassment.

But his heart is beating even faster than before.

The patriarch invited the lady to the dining hall and there they have feasted with food and wine.

“Father I need to go. ” Xiao Feng told his father.

“Uh, alright” the father allowed his son after a brief look to Li Qin as he had confirmed that Li Qin was not displeased.

“Father, can I go with him?” Li Qin asked the Patriarch.

“What?” the patriarch was unsure of what to do and looked at his son.

Xiao Feng was shy and looked at the girl and smiled “all right”

He then came closer to the lady and held her hand. ” Father we shall go.”

The patriarch looked at his son and smiled.

It seems that He is not against the plan of being married to Li Qin.

Xiao Feng with his hands clutched to Li Qin’s have already exited the house.

The servants and guards looked at their young master. They were dumbfounded. Their young master didn’t interact with other girls but there he is holding the hand of a girl. Though they knew that the girl is his fiance. They can’t believe that he could hold the mistress’s hand just like that. It seems like their young master was really in love with his fiance. Li Qin smiled while looking at her beloved holding her hand while they were walking out of the Xiao Residence.

Noticing the crowd’s bewildered look at him. Xiao Feng came to realize that he is holding a lady’s hand.

His eyes went wide. He did not expect that he could do something like that.

He let go of the lady’s hand and his whole body turn red in embarrassment.

If there was a borrow on the soil in front of him he would surely dive through it to save himself from shame.

“I am sorry I-I D-d-Didn’t mean to.” He said stutteringly while lowering his head in front of the lady.

The lips of the lady curved upward

It seems that my love isn’t used to holding a lady’s hand.

She smiled and brought her face nearer to the young man’s face and whispered. “but I kind of like it.” The she kissed his cheeks.

Feeling the soft lips of the lady touching his cheeks the face of the young man shifted from red to violet.

A certain muscle in the young man’s lower hardened. Fortunately, it seems that no one noticed that. Well not no one. How can something like this escape the senses of someone so divine?

The lady chuckled.
