IDLE Database - Chapter 107
Janet continued briefing Aldrin and the others on what they needed to watch out for inside the Rift. According to her, they had to consider it as her last lesson as their Instructor. Because as soon as they stepped inside that Dimension that could never be found in the vast territory that the human race controlled, they’d be left to their own devices. Janet’s role would switch to an observer that could only move during emergencies.
While listening to her voice that he got used to for the past ten days, Aldrin, to monitor the changes that might happen to IDLE Database once he entered the Dimensional Rift, placed his phone right in front of him.
However, just like what happened when he tried to leave his room with his phone, IDLE Database got transferred or rather, got mysteriously installed to the Metadome’s operating system. The same icon popped up at the lower right corner of its holographic interface.
A bit unperturbed as he somehow predicted it to happen sooner or later, Aldrin checked it and confirmed that it’s the same IDLE Database installed in his PC and his phone, giving him access to its features all the same.
The mystery of how it happened still bogged his mind but after two instances, Aldrin’s realistic approach to it surrendered. If someone could explain to him how the godly system truly works, he believed that only its creator that he hadn’t seen yet could.
Moving on from that, he welcomed the change. Relying on his pocket-sized phone to access it when he would be busy operating the Metadome gradually became tedious. Not just once did Janet or the others from his group called him out for being a phone addict because of how often he brought it out whenever he’s checking the status of Idle Adventure and Idle Storage.
With the mysterious software that was responsible for his rapid growth also attached itself to the vehicle he was going to use for the next twenty days, Aldrin found it reassuring.
The NQL module linked him to the Metadome and due to that, he could use his brainwaves to navigate through its interface.
While they’re still moving towards the location of the Dimensional Rift, Aldrin accessed Idle Adventure to check on its current progress.
[Run 2/4]
[Current Run’s Duration: 4 hours 23 minutes]
[Current Run’s Earned IDLE Points: 3250]
[Total IDLE Points earned: 7550]
[Total IDLE Points used: 1750]
‘As expected. The earning isn’t as abundant as in the Small Insect Colony. Moreover, it’s taking too long for the clones to find creatures to kill. Drawyz Domain is huge and most of the Dimensional Creatures living there aren’t capable of mass propagation. None of them are Colony-types like the Royal Ants and Black Spiders.’
He’s somewhat disappointed but that’s a lot better than letting them wander the almost empty Small Insect Colony. Perhaps 20 days later, they would flourish once more, giving him IDLE Points to harvest before completely conquering it.
“Huh, what’s this?”
He was about to close the interface to put his focus back on Janet’s voice when he found a daunting warning that suddenly flashed in the IDLE Database’s interface.
It’s a crimson red warning that just by seeing it gave an ominous premonition to Aldrin.
[Drawyz Domain #5 had undergone a change. The Fragment Core resonated with another Fragment Core that coincidentally passed by its stable Dimensional Coordinates. The Dimensional Creatures residing in the Drawyz Domain #5 got enhanced and turned bloodthirsty. The previously hidden creatures resurfaced and a great upheaval was underway.]
[Because of this change. IDLE Points gained through Idle Adventure will be tripled]
[Host is advised not to enter the Dimension during the time period. However, if Host chose to do so, IDLE Database will provide a benefit to boost your Survivability in exchange for IDLE Points]
As he read the content of that warning, Aldrin focused on the first one.
Hidden Creatures and a Great Upheaval.
He gulped down and hurriedly opened a private communication to his elder sister that was about to finish her moralizing reminders.
Just in time, they also arrived at the vicinity of the Dimensional Rift and started lining up before the tall door protecting that enormous rift in space.
“What’s wrong? You seemed hurried.”
“Elder sister, is the Dimensional Rift safe?” As he couldn’t find words to warn her, that’s the only question he could utter.
“What’s this? Having cold feet? If you want, you can still give up and go home.” Janet scoffed at him in a teasing way, thinking that Aldrin was spouting out a joke at her.
Upon seeing that reaction, Aldrin’s face fell. He understood. Informing Janet about the changes caught by the IDLE Database would just be treated as him being afraid at the last minute.
Even if he told her about it, there’s no way for him to explain why he knew.
Furthermore, after scanning his surroundings and eyeing the soldiers managing the maintained Dimensional Rift, all of them were acting normally. It’s as if the changes inside it hadn’t been reported yet.
‘No. The IDLE Database caught it because of its mysterious nature. That doesn’t mean the soldiers or the Energy Refiners stationed inside it will immediately notice the change…’ Aldrin easily reached a conclusion but that just raised his anxiety.
The Training Camp would definitely continue. It wouldn’t stop just because of a warning from him. He’s a trainee, not even treated as a full-fledged Energy Refiner yet.
There’s already the matter of Carlos and what’s happening on the other side of the planet. Adding this to it, Aldrin’s heart couldn’t help but race.
A lot of things were changing and he’s convinced that he’s continuously being pulled to the center of it the more he thinks about it.
Either way, he needed to come up with a decision soon. Those in front of them had begun their descent to the Drawyz Domain #5. Furthermore, Irina and the other three were all geared up to start their first expedition beyond a Dimensional Rift.
“Elder sister. Treat this as me being paranoid. But I have a bad feeling about this Dimensional Rift. I know you will see this as me having cold feet or being scared. But if something happened inside, recommend evacuation right away.”
In the end, he could only say it like that.
“Huh? You’re being weird, Aldrin. Just say it. Will you come or not? Stop dilly-dallying there as it’s our turn next.”
“Of course, I will.” With burning resolve occupying his eyes, Aldrin nodded.
He couldn’t warn them. And even if he did, it’s all too late. There’s also no guarantee that if he stepped away, he wouldn’t get caught in another incident. At least, inside the Dimensional Rift, he knew what he needed to watch out for.
Starting from Janet, the soldiers guarding the glaring Dimensional Rift in front of them began checking their identity one by one.
Once cleared, Janet led them as she willed her Armada Metadome to step inside the Dimensional Rift.
Moments later, Aldrin’s turn arrived.

[You have entered Drawyz Domain #5]
[Idle Adventure Mode has been locked in this Dimension]
[Active Run has been forcefully stopped. (IDLE Points earned has been credited)]
[The limit of five runs per day has been locked]
[Dimensional Clones can be summoned anytime using IDLE Points. IDLE Points will also be consumed to resummon them]
[Multipliers’ cost will now be deducted every six hours]
[Damage, Speed and Armor multipliers can also be applied to your body at the expense of preset IDLE Points]
[The same as the Dimensional Clones, killing a Dimensional Creature will also grant you IDLE Points]
[A minimap has been generated. It’s based on your own knowledge and can be complemented by information from other sources]
[The location of the Fragment Core has been marked on the minimap. Obtain it and become the owner of this Dimensional Plane]
[Unlike Small Insect Colony #111222 that is just one patch of countless small Dimensional Planes, Drawyz Domain #5 is a part of an enormous Dimensional Plane]
As Aldrin passed through the Dimensional Rift, the whole holographic interface became filled with numerous messages from the IDLE Database.
After reading through those, question marks naturally filled his mind. But he soon cleared it and looked for the lifeline the mysterious program provided him. That’s the first thing he wanted to check first
[Activate Multipliers: 3000 IDLE Points per day]
‘It’s cheap if I consider having the same strength as a middle Stage 2 Energy Refiner. I’ve somehow taken it for granted when I thought it’s just an elaborate game. But the truth has been laid bare in front of me long before. This mysterious system can make anyone invincible as long as the Dimensional Planes have been calibrated and listed in it…’ Aldrin sighed in amazement.
Before continuing to analyze the information that flashed in front of him, Aldrin operated his Metadome to follow Janet, rejoining the others from the same camp.
After getting a quick view of his surroundings wherein, Aldrin didn’t look as amazed as the others. What he saw in the Small Insect Colony wherein everything was somewhat enlarged gathered more of his awe. In here, it’s comparable to an undeveloped land where sparse forest and plains could be seen in the distance.
Nonetheless, compared to the location of the Fortress, Aldrin found themselves in a huge clearing enclosed by another wall. Although it’s not as tall as the walls of the fortress, it’s probably just a countermeasure to not let them wander off.
Further into the distance was the walled base camp that’s close to a city due to the hustle and bustle he could spy from the distance. Metadomes were patrolling its vicinity and airspace.
That’s the extension of the Plainsteed Fortress that they built in this place to safeguard the Rift behind and also, obviously, to regulate everyone entering and leaving the dimension.
