If I Never Loved You - Chapter 52 Chapter 52
“Stacey, I’m asking you to leave, and do not let me set my eyes on you again. I might not be able to control my anger the next time I see you.”
Stacey ran past him to hug him from the front, clinging to his waist. “Antonio, it’s me you love, you just feel sorry for my sister that’s why you stayed by her side. Look at me, I’m here now, and I love you.”
“I really regret leaving you three years ago. I know pretending to care about my sister is your way of punishing me. Antonio listen to me, three years ago, I accidentally saw my sister leave her diary at my doorstep. I got to know that she also likes you. I was confused, so I just decided to leave so you both could be happy together. But, Antonio, I’m sorry now! I really regret it! You were supposed to be my boyfriend.”
Listening to these words, Antonio’s heart boiled with anger. How could he have mistaken this liar for the sweet little girl from his childhood? But thankfully he wasn’t blind to her schemes anymore.
Antonio calmly removed her hands from around him. “We would never had ended up together anyways, had you not left. You are not the person I thought you were. I mistook you for that little girl who had encouraged me at my parent’s funeral, but you aren’t that person. It’s all my fault, for thinking you were someone you weren’t. And you didn’t think it necessary to let me know you weren’t that person either, you deliberately misled me into believing you were the one. For a little girl of around 10 years or something, you were a pretty good liar and pretender”
Stacey had her mouth opened wide. “But how did you get to know?”
After those words left her lips, she regretted it. She should have kept quiet and pretended she didn’t know what he was talking about. Now he had found her out, and she had admitted to her acts.
She tried using another trick: “But then we were still happy together until I found out my sister also liked you. I had to leave for her sake, had I not left, we would have been happy together by now.”
“You have been emphasizing the fact that Anne left her diary at your door for you to find. But I dare put it to you that you secretly went into her room and stole her diary, and pretended that she had planted it in your room. After you left the diary with me, I went through it. I saw the pages you had tried to hide from me by gluing them together to prevent me from seeing what was written in there. It contained Anne’s childhood memories, of the time we had met. You didn’t think I would find out, did you?”
“Antonio! Where from all these accusations? I don’t know what you are talking about!”
At this moment. Antonio was extremely angry.
“Shut the hell up Stacey! Let me not hear another word from you. I want you to leave this place right now and never show your face before either Anne or myself ever again. I would like Anne to still think of you as the sweet sister she has always known, not this scheming and evil lady you have become.”
Having said that, Antonio walked back into the ward and shut the door behind him. No matter how hard Stacey begged or how pitifully she cried, he didn’t even blink.
Seeing that there was no hope for her, she straightened herself and walked out of the hospital. Anne had stolen the man she loved and was going to take her place as the wife of Antonio. She wasn’t going to forgive her for that.
