I’ll Become the Female Lead in this Trashy Webnovel - CH 31.2
31. Back to reality (2)
So-hee recalled Joshua’s frighteningly gentle voice.
“I’ll wait for Deon to be released in front of the west tower on the 17th. I’ll kill him with my bare hands as soon as he comes out.’
Feeling anxious, Sohee read that part quickly.
It was about calling Bandelli out and decorating something else.
“——and go tell Deon Filtmore.”
“What… shall I tell him, Your Highness?”
His blood-colored eyes twinkled with mirth.
“Tell him ‘Joshua McKinley is planning to kill you. I was just threatened and did what I was told.” He said in a low voice. “That’s all you need to say. It’s easy, right?”
So-hee read the content over and over again, her hands tearing at her hair in frustration.
Significantly, Joshua only threw some rice cakes but there was no key content in sight.
“Damn it, Joshua. Why did you tell Bandelli to deliver the message to him like this? Why?”
Deon must escape as soon as possible.
Now that she figured out the exact date and location, she could finally find a way to help Deon escape if she could only leave her room.
How would she get out?
When So-hee accidentally grabbed a steel bar, she suddenly remembered Hugh falling to the ground.
She slammed the desk with her fist.
“Yes! I recalled the iron bars were ripped that night!”
She had a way out but she had no one to ask for help yet.
If so, she wasn’t that hopeless to stop this from happening.
Feeling comforted, So-hee read the novel again and it wasn’t long before she had another shock.
Suddenly, the woman, who kept repeating the word ‘love’, murmured a couple of strange things.
“Love—- Hugh Carlywood is so lovely! Why did he have to be so cute?”
“What?”
Hugh Carlywood.
The name got stuck in her head and it felt like she heard of it before.
Joshua raised an eyebrow as he observed Ariad from afar.
“My ideal type… My favorite——”
Once again, her calm heart was pushed to the brink of insanity.
So-hee slapped herself immediately and with a thud, a shout escaped from her lips.
“Ah! No!”
Following Deon, she still had one more person to save.
She thought Hugh was just unlucky after hearing he got selected in Joshua’s Order.
The chills running down her spine clearly implied a dark future.
So-hee continued to read it as her hand tightened its grip on the mouse.
As Hugh and Joshua engaged in swordplay, the crown prince had made his intentions crystal clear.
[“This is the perfect way to die on a battlefield.”]
“Hey, Joshua. You wouldn’t do this to him, right? This isn’t it.”
Before long, Joshua had successfully caught him in his trap and pushed him to war.
Hugh Carlywood didn’t even know how to use swords.
“My ‘celebrity crush look-alike’ and ‘you’re so cute I could put you in my pocket’ boy. What should I do?””
So-hee buried her teary face in her hands.
All the comments she read were complimenting Joshua, but Sohee, who interacted with him in person, didn’t share the same sentiment.
His presence didn’t bring her joy at all because his character belonged to the ‘romance thriller’ genre.
Joshua was trying to kill Hugh as well.
What would happen if he found out he was actually the one helping her?
So-hee agonized over their vague future.
Nevertheless, there was no need to be afraid.
She might not be that confident in leading the plot development as easily as she expected, but being able to return to reality and check her web novel’s contents and characters’ emotions was already a tremendous advantage.
Sohee admitted her web novel was quite messy but the flow still depended on the writer herself.
She comforted herself with that thought.

The first thing she noticed was that she didn’t feel comfortable.
Joshua’s masculine scent and the spacious bed were now more familiar than her actual reality.
No matter how crazy Joshua was as the male lead, no one could deny that he was at least warm to Ariad.
“Are you up?” Joshua asked silkily when her head moved a bit.
She noted a deep shadow over his handsome countenance when he relaxed his arm to check her face.
“Ariad, you almost died.”
Joshua sounded anxious.
“I’m not going to die. Don’t worry.” So-hee casually replied.
How many times had she knocked on death’s door?
As long as Sohee possessed Ariad, she might get her body seriously injured but she wouldn’t allow her to cross River Styx in her watch.
However, Sohee was just spitting a blank and thoughtless remark from Joshua’s point of view.
“Please don’t just accept anything from anyone and eat it. From now on, everything you eat will be examined by me first and foremost.”
“Wow! You’re even managing my diet now? That’s great.” She replied teasingly.
Joshua exhaled a sigh as he swept the black hair falling over his eye with his right hand.
“Do you think now is a good time to play around?”
Joshua’s words were as irritating as his gestures.
“Listen, Ariad. You. Can’t. Eat. Pineapple.” He enunciated every word, making sure she understood. “You can’t even drink.”
“I know.”
When she rolled her eyes, his thumb and forefinger grabbed So-hee’s chin.
“No. You don’t really know yourself at all.”
“It’s my body so I know better, Joshua.”
“What do you know about Ariad when you don’t even remember his father’s name?”
What?
Surprised, Sohee stopped breathing and burst into hiccups.
*HICCUP*
*HICCUP*
At the funny sound bubbling up her throat, she swiftly blocked her lips with her hands even if she already knew she could never hide her chagrin at all.
