I’ll Become the Tyrant’s Tutor - Chapter 17
──────⊱◈◈◈⊰──────
It was too sudden.
Reynsis? On the Imperial 7th Princess’s birthday?
(t/n— correction, it’s the princess birthday not queen)
‘Who spread these false rumours?’
Prim expressions became dark all of a sudden.
“You didn’t know?”
“Yes, I don’t even know about this.”
“Well, that is understandable. The rumours haven’t been spread that long.”
The servant said as if it was insignificant but Prim was nervous.
She was worried about who spread such false rumors then she suddenly remembered a face with a manipulative and wicked smile.
‘Is it, Prince Daphs?’
That would have been even more serious. There must have been something solid about what he’s trying to do.
‘I have no time for this.’
She had to find out whether it was true or not and come up with some solution or plan quickly.
She left the boutique in a hurry. She keeps on thinking of Reynsis all the way to the Palace.
***
Reynsis glared at the tightly closed door as if he didn’t like the door.
“I think Prim went out again,” The servant said with a shrug.
He can’t believe that she really left the class where she should tutored him. He thought that she was not qualified to be a teacher.2
‘If she is going to work like this, why would she get paid?’
He frowned deeply.
The more he thought about it, his mood became crumpled. She said that she would stay by his side. Then suddenly, why?
“… Fuck this.”
He washed his dry face. He felt the heat in his palm. It was obvious that his colourless face would have turned into Prim because if he looked in the mirror.
(tn- he imagined her in the mirror.)
These days, his face has had a strange glow. tickling and answering, as if something was calling him.
After the sensation continued, the irritation suddenly disappeared. She’s not here. And, his eyes are getting worse as ever.
‘Why?’
He was troubled because the cause of his pain was not even being written in the book.
Suddenly, he heard the loud footsteps that he never heard before.
“Your Highness!”
The door burst open without being knocked. Reynsis was startled.
“What is this, without knocking —”
“Why, why?”
Prim seemed to have run without breathing. Her forehead was full of sweat and her face was pinkish in his vision.
Prim was breathing heavily with her hands on both knees.
Only then she raised herself. Her voice sank as if she was sad.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
The sorrowful voice was full of desperation. Reynsis looked at Prim as if he were wondering what she meant.
“At least in this matter, you could tell me…”
“What the hell are you talking about?”
“What kind of opportunity is this? Okay, that’s right. Have you ever been to the Imperial Palace before, Your Highness? What about dancing? Have you already mastered the royal etiquette? Oh lord, I still have so many things to teach you. I don’t have time for this.”
Prim didn’t even listen to Reynsis as she was nervous and excited with the upcoming party. But she is still rambling and repeating the same sentences about being too anxious.
It was chaotic. But Prim felt that her heart seemed to calm down a little.
Prim walked towards him and sat down. Her face was in his vision right now.
“Have you danced before?”1
Reynsis narrowed down the middle of his forehead. Though he looked as if he was lying, Prim continued her questioning.
“I am not a good dancer, but let’s practice together.”
“… What are you talking about right now?”
“The birthday party. Why do you keep pretending like you don’t know anything? I’m really sad.”
Prim stomped her feet as if she was frustrated.
She kept saying the unknown party. He was about to say that where the hell did she hear that crap?
Prim stands up.
“I don’t know, but wouldn’t it be better than having no one to practice with?”
Then she held out her hands to him as if to invite him to dance.
Reynsis stared at her hands.
Suddenly, he remembered the birthday of the 7th Princess in his old memory. Memories of childhood surrounded by nausea paintings.
‘It’s the Birthday party.’
He looked up at her.
She seemed to have a huge misunderstanding about where she heard some strange rumors.
‘I haven’t even gotten out of the colourless world yet, so what with the invitation?’
He was invited? Is he going to go there?
It’s like someone was making fun of him. But now, he wants to make fun of Prim.
Since she was not faithful to her duties, and kept clinging to his side, this kind of prank seemed to be all right for her. A natural smirk formed on his mouth.
“So what are you going to do now.”
Prim closed her eyes as if she were wondering what she was going to say. Reynsis laughed sarcastically as if he knew she would do that.
“Why would he call me? The noble and pure Emperor never visited or even called for me.”
“He…”
Prim was speechless and trembling as if she didn’t know what to say.
“But.. you already know certain colours?”
Then, her face became pale as if she crossed the lines.
“Well, what should we do? Right now ummm right now, you’re gonna have to…… No, before that, you first. No, Elena…”
Prim was flustered. He seemed to enjoy making her like that. But something felt annoying. ‘Elena‘ the name that came out from her lips.
‘Was there anyone in this Palace named Elena?’
Of course he couldn’t remember. He barely even memorized the face of a man. Prim was the only face that he ever saw in a clear colour view.
Prim, who was making a fuss for several time finally quieted down.
“Well, I’m going to get fired. No, I might die before that.”
He even received money from the Emperor, saying she could fix his eyes and even lied to the Prince Daphs, saying that Reynsis could see the colours.
The invitation to the birthday party is to find out the truth behind the 8th Prince recovery.
Yes. In the end, the conclusion is she has only 2 options to choose from.
—
1. Wait until Reynsis turned to a 19 year old boy then he killed her.
2. Went to the party and lied to the Emperor then got executed by him.
—
This is a disaster. Everything includes her death.
“…Are you finally gone crazy?”
Reynsis snapped her in realization.
But Prim didn’t listen to him properly because her head was dizzy.
Prim was so frustrated like a hungry dog.
Her red hair was a mess and her colourless face was overcast.
“Well, we are going to see the light!”
Prim suddenly screamed in joy that made him startled.
“My hands are fine! My eyes are not hurt at all while teaching the prince!”
“…….”
“Even if I’m crazy, I have to teach the Prince! It proves that if the artist didn’t get hurt, bad rumors will be reduced. I’m just satisfied with that.”
Prim was trembling when she said that.
“…….”
Reynsis looked at her gently.
She said she wanted to tell a lie, even at the brink of death.
She seemed to think that she was really going to get fired.
“You can say that I didn’t find the colour yet but my vision in colour is still in progress?”
Reynsis uttered an unexpected remark.
“So, you are saying..”
“Why don’t you say I can just see red? Then, the Emperor won’t say much.”
Prim opened her eyes wide. Reynsis could only see red.
“Is it okay to say that?”
“If you won’t tell them, I will tell them for you…”
Reynsis stopped talking for a few seconds then he jumped up from his seat.
“Let’s do it.”
Reynsis stretched out his hands to Prim. As he strode up, he reached out to Prim. Prim looked at his hands with a puzzled look.
“Let’s do it, whether it’s the practice or not.”
“…..”
“You have to find out if you’re meant to be with me or not. Or you…”
Reynsis shut up again. The more he speaks, the more it tickles his heart.
“What are you doing, start dancing now.” (Reynsis)
Prim was flustered with his sudden change as she hesitated to hold his hands.
“When you offer me a hand, I have to hold it because it is an invitation to a dance.” (Prim)
“……”
“Your hands at my hips.”
“……”
“… Sometimes it’s important not to be tied to formality. Let’s move on. Then the next one —”
When Prim’s was about to end it, Reynsis’s hand was wrapped around her waist. Reynsis laughed as Prim shuddered.
“You talk too much.”
“Actions before words. You are getting good, Your Highness. It is also good being active.”
“Do you want to die?”
“No.”
He began to move slowly. But of course, there was no music. Only the sound of footsteps on the floor filled the room.
Is that the reason?
The mood was so different from usual.
It was hard to meet Reynsis’s face, which was pleasant to look at.
Maybe it is because their faces are too close.
Then, Reynsis realized something about her.
“You are the worst at dancing.”
“Well, I don’t dance like this in my hometown.”
“Are you talking about your hometown again.”
“I don’t know if you heard about this, but our dances are a bit peculiar.”
(t/n: watch bts dance yo)2
“No, stop talking.”
Reynsis firmly said. Their faces were so close. Prim was distracted by his dazzling face and stepped on his feet.
‘I’m screwed!’
Reynsis stopped moving as he stared at her sharply.
“Are you doing this on purpose?”
Prim gasped as she rushed at him.
“I’m sorry.”
“If you don’t like it just say it. It was you who asked me to practice.”
Prim felt like she was being accused.
“But it’s not just my fault. It’s because you are being so pretty.”2
“What?”
“I’m surprised to see such a pretty face up close. I’m sure everyone else does.”
“…….”
“So, this is not my fault.”
Prim shrugged it off as she was confident that it was never her fault to begin with.
“So it’s my fault?”
Reynsis said with one of his eyebrows furrowed. Prim nodded without any hesitation.
“I am so embarrassed by your beauty, Your Highness. Oh, Your Highness would have been embarrassed if he wasn’t this beautiful. I’m actually very happy just to be talking to you. It’s so embarrassing.”1
“…….”
Reynsis looked at her gently again as Prim was flustered.
“You thought I was lying again, didn’t you? I can hear your mind from here. Like I said, I’m a mind reader.”
“You are really….”
Reynsis stopped in the middle. Prim closed her eyes as she was sure he was going to scold her again.
But he was quiet. She slowly opened her closed eyes.
“……”
(Reyn) “You are making me laugh.”
Prim was speechless and couldn’t utter any words.
The cold stone Prince was looking down at Prim with a comfortable smile.5
