I’ll Become the Tyrant’s Tutor - Chapter 18
His lips drew soft lines as he smiled and his warm gaze met her eyes.
For the first time in her life, Prim felt like she was facing a bright sun.
“I think… I’m going to be blind,” 1
Prim muttered like an enchanted person because she was too fascinated by him
“You are so beautiful, Your Highness.”
“Just stop talking.”
“Ha, but your beauty is too much even my words cannot describe it, Your Highness.”
She was being too honest and there is no lie in her eyes.
He gave her a reassuring smile to her.
“Do you like my face that much?”
Prim nodded vigorously.
‘Are you saying that you only like my face?’
Reynsis erased the thought of his twisted mind.
“If you like my face, then stay by my side.”1
“… Pardon?”
She was utterly confused and answered back like a fool. Reynsis’s face turned red and replied with an irritating tone.
“Stay by my side. It’s so quiet without you that I felt annoyed.”7
(t/n: AHHHHHHHHHHH)7
“……”
Prim was speechless and cannot say any words.
‘He just asked me to stay by his side!’
Our* cold hearted beast said that.
Prim nodded three times while trying to calm her heart.
“Yes, Your Highness! I’ll be right next to you from now on!”
“Until when?”
“Until you find your destiny that has been fated to you.”
“….. Ah that..”3
Somehow his answer suddenly slowed but this was also a big development. Prim smiled as Reynsis’s face hardened.1
“You better not laugh if I said this.”
“About what, Your Highness?”
“My eyes hurt when I see you smile.”1
Prim walked towards him with a surprise look. Her face was so close, like an inch away from him, that it made Reynsis pull back in surprise.
“Eyes? Why? May I have a look?”
“……It’s okay. It will get better. Do not laugh because this is too childish. It’s an order from me.”
Reynsis said firmly. In the past, everything seemed unjust and he didn’t have any freedom to laugh, even if it hurt, he tried not to cry out for help.
She was so loud and annoying to the point he was going mad. But surprisingly he enjoyed her company.
‘Perhaps I was crazy’ Reynsis thought with a small smile.
***
Even though she has never danced, she still felt uncomfortable with her body muscles, but Prim was happy as if she could fly.
‘Let’s practice harder and show to the beauty that the Prince is flawless!’
She was invited to Zerbeta’s manor which is technically Elena’s house.
Unfortunately, for the time being, she had to drop her practice about arts since she is going to focus on the upcoming birthday party which will be held in a few days.
As his teacher, she has so many things to teach the Prince.
‘He has to learn royal etiquette to attract Elena or other young nobles.’
It doesn’t make sense for a Beauty and a Beast to crash a waltz dance!
Prim exhaled as if she was determined enough not to waste any chance.
She walked to Elena’s meeting place.
“Prim!”
Elena came to her with a surprised look.
“What happened in the Palace? I heard that the Prince can already see colours.”
“That’s a long story.”
Prim smiled awkwardly.
‘Actually, I cannot tell her the truth behind the royal family or the rumours about the Prince.’
Elina shook her head as if she understood
“I am asking you a very difficult question.”
Prim didn’t want to say anything because it wasn’t that important.
Elina quickly changed the topic of the conversation.
“Eventually, I have something to say.”
Elina held Prim’s hand as she was excited.
“Well, I was formally invited to the Princess’s birthday party!”
“Really?”
“Yes. I paint about how I felt and change how I interpreted my drawings when I talked to Prim. I think the Princess liked it!”
(note — the princess will pick a canvas among nobles and if she likes it, she will invite them to her party. reminder that delen zion empire focused on arts and beauty.)
“Wow, congratulations! Well, what things did you change?”
Elena dodged the eyes of Prim.
“……the Avant-garde thing.”
“Just be honest. My skills have improved since I started teaching the Prince.”
Elena laughed.
“As expected, Prim must be a magician.”
“Yes, I am. I’m a magician anyway.”
Why is she still messed up at arts but she managed to improve someone else’s skills?
Prim sighed as she looked at her hands.
But, it was fortunate.
Elena, the Beauty candidate and the Reynsis, the beast who is being obedient these days will be meeting soon!
Prim was being too happy when she thought of that but Elena’s face became confused all of sudden.
“Is Prim going to the Princess’s banquet?”
“Don’t be sad, I’m going too.”
“What?”
Elena’s eyes widened as if she could not believe it.
Prim had to stick close to Reynsis and find his destiny, so it was natural for her to follow him everywhere.
“I paint for the Princess too. Using the Avant-garde technique.”
“Avant-garde… it seems to work surprisingly well. “
Elena has learned a lot of things.
After a brief conversation, Prim said her purposes.
“I think from now on, we should focus on our own painting.”
“Huh? But —”
“It’s Elena’s dream to be a painter for the Imperial family. Then you should focus more on your own arts study.”
She kept her mouth shut as if she had been stabbed to the point.
“…. Prim really knows everything.”
“Because I’m a magician.”
“But still, I’m so sad that I cannot meet Prim.”
Elena’s face was filled with grief. It seemed like she really enjoyed her times with Prim and it is quite pleasant to meet her.
It was the same with Prim. Even Though her original purpose in sticking close to Elena is due to finding Reynsis’s Beauty, she kept thinking. Since she could see that Elena enjoyed being with her.
“We can meet again later. We have a lot of time. Well, Elena and I will be royal painters. Specifically using Avant-garde works.”
At last, Elena burst into laughter.
While laughing with each other, a carriage stopped in front of them. They climbed into the carriage together.
“It’s my first time taking a friend to my house. Besides, we won’t be able to meet after today, so we should study harder.”
Eleanor said with an excited look.
The carriage stopped. Elena got off the carriage with the help of her servants. Prim just jumped down from the carriage.
Baron Zerbeta was told that he was barely able to retain his title, but the size of their mansion was amazing.
There was a large fountain in the wide garden, and a statue of a brave lion stood on it.
Prim went from place to place as Elena was being a house tour.
“And this canvas is —”
“Elena!”
Elena was about to show Prim something that she drew when a voice called out. Both of the girls looked around to search for the voice.
It was Prince Daphs that stood in front of them.1
As soon as Prim and his eyes met, their faces turned hostile.
“Oh, my. Greetings Your Highness.”
Elena greeted him as her face hardened. Prim bowed down her stiff neck and greeted him together.
“……I didn’t know you were coming, Your Highness. It would have been nice if you’d given me a word in advance.”
“I’m here to see the Baron. If I don’t do this, they won’t even meet me. I’d like to tell the Baron about us.”1
“…….”
It’s not ‘us’, this is a one-sided love that is made up by one person. Elina bit her lips tightly, looking at his shameless face.
‘What is their relationship?’
Prim stared at them. Daphs had an excited face, and Elena seemed uncomfortable, and he seemed to avoid Prim’s eyes.
The royal Prince himself went to see the Baron because of Elena?
‘An evil man with that kind of sweet face?’
One sided love is not okay.
No matter how much Prim thought about them, there is only one answer.
“But Elena, do you know her?”
Daphs asked with a sweet smile as he wink at Elena.2
(t/n …….)
“She’s my friend.”
“Friend?”
Daphs replied as if he could not believe it.
“Is she the friend that the Baron talked about?”
Daphs’s face turned blue when Elena said that Prim is her friend.
It was Prim. If that’s the case, Daphs already knew her arts skills about using avant-garde thingy.
‘If I am really that good, then I will become famous.’
This can be used as a lie to the Royal family. She felt anxiety crept in.
“I heard that your drawing style is kind of unique.”
Dahps smirks as he laughs.
But she can’t panic here, she will be accused as lying to the royal about that night if she ever panicked.
“Yes, Your Highness. I felt that I am improving and it’s all thanks to Elena.”
Prim said calmly.
“I didn’t know that Elena was that good. I would love to join both of you.”
“I’m sorry, but I’ve been doing something else lately, Your Highness. Elena’s art class with me has been put on hold for a while.”
“What is your job actually?”
“Nowadays, I’m studying about colours.”
“Ohh, ‘Colours’ “
Daphs tone was sarcastic. It was obvious what his question was about. Prim knew his intention from the beginning.1
‘Then, I will do the same to you.’
Prim smiled genuinely towards the Prince.
“I heard that you are studying too, Your Highness.”
“Studying what?”
“I heard that you are so good in archery.”
Daphs cracked up as he laughed hard.
“And I’d like to see your skills. How great are you in Archery.”
Prim recalled him aiming a bow at the Reynsis in the woods. Daphs and her eyes were fierce as soon as their eyes met.1
“Lady Elena, we need to talk for a minute.”
Daphs tried to run away after he broke the flow. Elena felt frightened as she stepped off.1
“Umm, well..”
Elena could not speak easily.
Why is she so timid?
Elena was afraid of the prince who wanted to have a special relationship with her, and resent herself for not being able to express her opinion properly.+
“Your Highness, if it’s okay with you. Please excuse us for awhile.”
Prim’s reply made Elena look at her as she grasped her sweating hand.
