I’ll Become the Tyrant’s Tutor - Chapter 25
“Your Highness, it is time for us to depart.”
The servants that stood outside the door announced his departure hastily.
It’s really time to go find the Beauty. Prim had a quivering breath.
‘Don’t be nervous. There is only one goal which is to find our Beast’s Beauty!’
Prim approached the door with gallant steps. She was about to open the door when she felt a presence that crept up behind.
“…….?” (Prim)
There’s a shadow behind her back. As Prim turned around, Reynsis was already standing behind her.
“I couldn’t hear your steps. You surprised me!” (Prim)
“…….” (Reynsis)
“Your Hi” (Prim)
“You.” (Reynsis)
Reynsis cut her speech. Prim was a bit speechless when she was being interrupted like that.
“When you go to the palace, don’t go anywhere and stick by me.” (Reynsis)
“Pardon?” (Prim)
“Don’t go around anywhere you like. Just stay with me.” (Reynsis)
“But..” (Prim)
“Stay with me.”
Reynsis said sternly at her.
He behaved differently from his usual self. There was a different feeling. It is not an irritation, but it’s as if he was desperate.
‘Am I crazy for thinking like this?’
Prim stood there speechless until she managed to speak,
“O-of course, I’ll be right next to you!”
Prim spoke with a steady eye. Reynsis stared at her face then straightened his upper body.
“Mm. Very well.”
Reynsis murmured and walked past her out of the room; Prim who could not hear what he said quickly followed him as she grumbled.
“Do you remember our lesson? The eye contact part and oh you must be polite —” (Prim)
“I know.” (Reynsis)
How can he stop her from talking!
Prim had a dramatic tearful face.
Can we even find ‘her’ there?
There were faint sounds of the orchestra playing in the distance. The music grew louder as we were getting closer to the Imperial Palace.
Prim pulled the carriage’s curtains aside to peeked out with a worried look. The sight of the magnificent and beautiful Imperial Palace struck her in awe.
Pondering to herself while resting her chin on her open palm, inside the beautiful Imperial Palace, the Emperor himself was probably worried about his own duties.
Reynsis hasn’t seen colours yet, so the Emperor had asked Prim to take care of Reyn’s arts education.
‘Of course I can say that I was seeking various colours to teach him, but…’
Prim sighed heavily.
‘Did the Prince tell me to stick close to him because he’s worried about me?’
Prim was impressed with his development and continued to keep her mouth shut.
‘I know that getting close to him was worth it.’
She was thrilled with her thoughts until the royal carriage suddenly stopped. She could feel that someone was approaching their carriage.
“Welcome to the Imperial Palace, Milady.”
The Emperor’s servant, who opened the door, reached out his hand to her.
She has never experienced such manners. Prim hesitated before gently putting her hand on top of his.
‘Wow..!’
She looked around the Palace and the more she took in her surroundings, the more it made her eyes widened in shock.
The Palace is shining! The balance of precious gemstones and statues attached was truly great, as if not a single small amount of silver could be allowed.
In front of the Palace, in the middle of the fountain, the statue of the mermaid seemed alive. Furthermore, the pebbles attached on the bottom of the fountain were all gold.
‘As expected, this is the Empire of beauty. What’s with all of that gold and riches? Ah,… just imagine If you ever steal that pebble, you can turn your life around.’
(note:change your life completely, from bad to good.)
“What are you doing?” (Reynsis)
“Arghhh!” (Prim)
A familiar voice spoke behind her, yet she was so distracted, Prim accidentally shouted out loud.
“Oh! Your Highness!”
“You’re thinking strange things again, aren’t you?” (Reynsis)
Reynsis plugged his ears for a while after hearing her scream. Then Prim quickly shook her head in denial.
“No!”
“It’s clearly written on your face.” (Reynsis)
“Really?” (Prim)
“No, I lied.” (Reynsis)
He gave a short answer and walked past her.
A smile formed on his face when he heard Prim talk behind his back.
“We greet His Royal Highness, Prince Reynsis.”
At that moment the Emperor’s servants greeted the two of them. Reynsis’s smile vanished and was replaced with his usual stoic look.
“His Majesty, the Emperor is waiting.” (Servant)
Prim looked anxiously between the servants and Reynsis. Despite her worrying he remained composed which reassured her. With a calm voice Prim said,
“I will wait for you here. So please return soon.” (Prim)
‘Aren’t you coming with me?’
The Emperor must have heard that Prim helped Reynsis to recover. It was natural to accompany him to see the Emperor for clarification.
This made Reynsis confused.
“You can go alone, Your Highness.” (Prim)
“But” (Reynsis)
“Don’t worry, I will wait for you.” (Prim)
“…Then, I’ll be right back.”
Reynsis said before he walked away with the servants to see the Emperor.
She stared at his back as his shadow vanished from her sight.
“Oh my god, is he…?”
“He is the 8th Prince, right?”
There was a murmur of noise. The nobles were blinding with their eyes.
“He’s as beautiful as the rumours said.”
“It’s understandable that the Emperor sent him elsewhere.”
“I’d do the same too. No matter how scary the prophecy is, I would never abandon a son as beautiful as him.”
“Of course.”
Prim bit her lips tight.
Reynsis became an angel and a cursed demon through people’s mouths.
While hearing people talked about him like that, Prim couldn’t hide her misery.
‘If the Prince heard this in person….’
What kind of expression would Reynsis have? She hoped and prayed that how she felt right now would not be the same as how Reynsis felt all the time.
She felt guilty.
“Prim?”
The familiar voice called her.
“Elena!”
Elena approached Prim with a bright smile. Prim quickly removed her thoughts about the rumours.
“We met at last! You really made it here. Why don’t we go somewhere else?”
After Reynsis disappeared, Prim gave it a thought. She finally nodded as she followed Elena in the Imperial Palace.
The interior design in the Palace was beautiful.
The nobleman who was passing by, said that he decorated the halls with paintings chosen by the Princess herself. Of course, Elena’s paintings would be on the list.
“My painting should be on here, hmm… where is it?.”
Elena hooked her arm around Prim’s and led her energetically down the hall. Elena could not hide her excitement. Prim followed Eleanor further inside of the palace.
“…That’s the end of the hall.” (Elena)
They reached the end of the hall. But Elena’s paintings were nowhere to be found. Her steps came to a sudden stop after looking through all the paintings they passed by.
“I’m sure that this is the last place.”
Elena muttered in a bewildered voice. Prim had a bad feeling.
“Let’s look around some more… Maybe we missed it?” (Prim)
Prim squeezed Elena’s hand reassuringly and turned around. But she couldn’t move forward.
“Elena..” (Prim)
It was because of Prince Daphs, who stood in front of them with a bright smile.
“I greet His Highness, Prince Daphs.”
Elena greeted him with a curtsy, trying to hide her embarrassment. At any rate he is a Prince, so Prim also bowed her head as well.
Daphs, who ignored Prim’s existence entirely, pretended to be friendly again with Elena; he spoke in his mockingly sweet way.
“I’ve been looking for you.”
Daphs approached closer.
Prim stepped back, but Elena was distracted by her painting’s whereabouts, could not think of moving.
“El.”
Daphs stopped in front of Elena. Looking closely, he was hiding something behind his back.
‘No way..’
Prim’s eyes opened wide. She was hoping it’s not what she thought. But,
“Now…” (Daphs)
“………” (Elena & Prim)
“I will give you back your painting.” (Daphs)
Prim was shattered with his statement while Elena’s face paled.
It was Elena’s painting that Daphs revealed behind his back.
There was no royal seal which meant that the painting was not picked by the Imperial family.
“It seemed that you wanted to come so badly, so I put my hands on your painting. I wanted to give you a surprise before you arrived at your Palace, but you left first.” (Daphs)
Daphs said so and extended Elena’s painting. She looked at her canvas as if she had forgotten how to breathe.
After seeing the situation, Prim bit her lips tight.
Elena did not just want to come to the Princess’s party.
She really hoped her painting would be chosen. She wanted to get a little closer to her dream of becoming the official painter at the Imperial Palace.
But..
“You know, your paintings are a bit out of style these days. How long has it been since I invited you secretly?” (Daphs)
“Excuse me, Your Highness.” (Prim)
Prim stood in front of Elena, as if to protect her from Daphs.
Daphs face soured.
“Please stop what you are doing right now.” (Prim)
Daphs burst into laughter after hearing her.
In front of Elena, he wanted to show the best of himself, but if Prim kept coming out like this, he had no choice but to show his true nature.
“Get out of the way. I have nothing to say to you.” (Daphs)
“Lady Elena didn’t want any of this. She wanted to be invited purely because of her skills in arts.” (Prim)
“Who do you think you are talking to!” (Daphs)
Daphs raised his hand ready to strike.
“……..”
But as Daphs hand was in the air, he couldn’t touch Prim.
There was an unknown feeling that crept into him after he saw those peculiar dark eyes as black as the night sky. He just accidentally made eye contact with this little tutor.
Prim slowly spoke unaware of what stopped Daphs,
“Prince Daphs… if you continue to act like this,… Lady Elena will probably…..” (Prim)
Prim deliberately lengthened her words. A violet spark was twinkling in her eyes.
“….Won’t ever open her heart towards you.”
Prim swore those words to him.
Her words hit Daphs straight to his heart. Usually, he would attack his opponent, viciously grab their hair, and beat them within an inch of their life.
Because Daphs is a violent person.
But now, he couldn’t lift a finger.
‘Those purple eyes.’
Purple eyes were the rarest in the world. Because it’s the eyes of ‘The Man’.
Daphs recalled the characteristic of ‘The Man’ who had stated the Prophecy. They said he had a pair of jewelled purple eyes.
Daphs stumbled back.
At that sight of the dumbfounded prince, Prim’s heart was beating rapidly as she kept staring at him.
“Are you scared?” (Prim)
She turned around and when she saw Elena’s shocked face, her mouth moved freely. It must have been crazy.
Daphs is the Imperial Prince. A person who has authority to kill her immediately.
‘Oh no Prim! What have you done? Are you craving to die that badly?’
Prim accidentally lashed out at him a little while ago.
‘Now is the opportunity to run away.’
Prim slipped back and of course she didn’t forget to grab Elena’s arm.
“You!” (Daphs)
But they could not escape.
Because Daphs grabbed Prim’s arm with confusion written on his
