I’ll Become the Tyrant’s Tutor - Chapter 30
──────⊱◈◈◈⊰──────
Prim had a dream last night.
Reynsis stood alone with his back facing her in the field of roses at the abandoned temple.
It must have rained recently too since she could sense the moisture in the light breeze on her skin and smell the earthy odor permeating in the air. The roses glistened with fresh dew drops making them bloom appetizingly. As the sunlight spilled through the clouds, a rainbow appeared behind the abandoned temple making the whole place magical.
It reminded her of that day they went out to the forest, but there is one significant difference,
“Uh..”
Noticing Prim, Reynsis turned around to face her. He was smiling.1
His lips drew a soft line. It was the most beautiful smile Prim had ever seen.
“……”
His lips mouthed words she could not hear clearly. Is he calling her name? Prim approached him cautiously navigating the thorny rose bushes and stood respectfully in front of him.
Reynsis came up to her and gave her a rose. It was the same red rose as the one he gave her back then.
“This rose looks like you.” (Reynsis)
But Prim couldn’t take the rose he gave to her.
The events that followed the banquet still plagued her. Guilt was swallowing her even in the dream.
Reynsis waited patiently for Prim, even being considerate during her hesitation to receive a gift from him. He didn’t say anything rude, or negative like he used to do before, nor did he look for an impression.
Only then Prim considered to carefully accept the flower.
As she held it close to her, Reyn slowly lessened the space between them; he reached out and stroked her cheek gently with his thumb.
“Your Highness…?” (Prim)
“I really wanted to touch it.” (Reynsis)1
“……” (Prim)
“The color of your complexion looks really good on you. I like it.” (Reynsis)
It was strange. Obviously this situation was a dream, but the feeling of his fingers grazing down her cheek was vivid.
Besides that, Reyn would never say such a friendly compliment. No matter how much I thought about it, he would definitely say mean and rude things.
But this friendly touch just now… Such a warm touch.
The way his fingertips softly caressed my cheek reminded me of how someone would carefully touch their precious treasure.
Prim snapped.
It was when his warm touch slowly moved towards her lips settling his thumb there and his fingers tucked under her chin.
‘Is it because it’s a dream? Reynsis eyes are…’
“……”
Then, he opened his mouth again. She couldn’t hear what he was saying.
“I….you.”8
His voice began to break into pieces as if the sound was muffled by static.
“Your Highness?” (Prim)
It was when she took a step closer to him to hear properly.
“Prim.” (Reynsis)
“Now wake up.” (Reynsis)

He said.
—
“…..?!”
Prim opened her eyes.
Light permeated through her eyelids. The morning seemed bright before she knew it.
‘What? Was that… a dream?’
Prim slowly rose up yawning and stretched looking around her.
Maybe because she fell asleep crying, her vision was blurred. She has been sleeping while sitting for days, and her back is throbbing.
Prim rubbed her fair eyes and went to check on the Prince.
“……”
“……”
“……!!!”
And she blinked a few times as if she couldn’t believe it.
“Your Highness??”
It was because Reynsis’s eyes, which were grey, turned into a clear crystal blue like the summertime lake.6
She looked at him in disbelief, as if she couldn’t believe her own eyes.
Slowly, he turned to look at Prim. Their eyes met.
“Prim..”
Reynsis mumbled blankly and shut his eyes. Tears streamed down. Even the owner of the body was crying for no reason.
“No way..”
Her heart beat like crazy.
Reynsis’s eyes were no longer a dull lifeless colour.
Clear blue colour, as a cloudless sunny sky or the cerulean sea that stretches beyond the horizon.1
“Your Highness, your eyes, now…” (Prim)
“Prim..” (Reynsis)
“…..” (Prim)
“I can see your eye colour.” (Reynsis)8
Prim’s throat tightened as his confession sent her mind in a whirl. Reynsis spoke like he was seeing colours for the first time.
She couldn’t believe it. How on earth did this happen?! She was sure that he said he didn’t meet any beautiful women at the banquet.
Prim tried not to cry and found it hard to speak.
“Y-you’re not sick anymore?” (Prim)
“…..” (Reynsis)
Reynsis bit his lips. As he gathered up his emotional mind, he nodded in a moment.
“….Yes.” (Reynsis)
“R-really, you are not sick? Can you see me w-well? Obviously, I mean before—” (Prim)
“It doesn’t hurt. I can see your eyes well. I can see your face too well.” (Reynsis)
Prim’s eyes and throat were burning again. Soon, the tears rolled down her cheeks.
“Your Highness…” (Prim whispered)
“……” (Reynsis)
“…I’m sorry. I’m so sorry…I-I…” (Prim crying)
“…Prim!” (Reynsis)
She couldn’t continue with her apology as she was overcome with tears and choked up. Reynsis, panicked by her tears, wanted to cheer her up.1
“I—, so… uh… from the beginning I….” (Reynsis)
His words were as unorganised as his thoughts.
He sighed frustrated with himself. He was a coward. Reynsis tried to talk about his faults to relieve the burden of guilt in her mind.
Prim kept sniffling as tears continued to stream down her face. Reynsis who sat up, bit his lips, and waved his hands nervously.
“Prim, don’t cry.” (Reynsis)
“…….” (Prim)
“Don’t cry, please.” (Reynsis)
Prim’s eyes widen after hearing him pleaded.
She blinked as if she could not believe it, Reynsis reached out and swept the corner of Prim’s eyes. When his cool fingers touched her skin, Prim faltered slightly.
Then Reynsis gently brought her closer towards him. As her face neared, she was fully captured in his blue eyes.
“……I’ve never seen your tears so clearly before, so I don’t know how to please you.”
Reyn murmured to himself.
“So please tell me… What should I do in this situation?”
It was like asking her for an answer, blaming himself for being ignorant.
Prim wiped the tears from her eyes by herself without trying to burden him.
‘Silly me. Don’t cry. What did you do? How are you allowed to cry so well?’
She chidded herself. It was her that made him miserable like this. She didn’t even deserve to cry.
Prim, who was biting her lips to hold back tears, carefully stretched her hand.
Her fingers touched the corners of Reynsis’s eyes. Warm fingers wiped away his tears as he blinked slowly.
‘They are no longer hazy grey eyes, they really are warm sea blue eyes.’
Her eyes weren’t lying.
It was only then that Prim could laugh. Now, a big smile and tears came out together.
Reynsis burst into laughter after seeing her like that.
“What’s with the crying and laughing?” (Reynsis)
“Because you are also crying and laughing!” (Prim)
“I did? I am?” (Reynsis)1
Reynsis blinked as if he could not believe it. He raised his hand and wiped his face. His cheeks were all wet.
Prim softly offered him advice to his question earlier with a sniffle.
“…When you’re trying to comfort someone, you don’t need to say much. You just have to stay by their side.” (Prim)
Reynsis smiled at the answer.
“Are we still having class?” (Reynsis)
“Of course.” (Prim grinned)
“But I can see colours now, why would we need class?” (Reynsis)1
“…….” (Prim)
Prim couldn’t reply to that.
Reynsis was right. Now that he has found color, they won’t need her to tutor him in arts education any more. Then she won’t have to stick with him anymore.
“Prim…”
Reynsis could read her expression and called her slowly.
Reynsis leaned towards her closer than ever before. When their foreheads touched, Prim’s eyes rounded and she inhaled unconsciously. It was too close!1
He closed his eyes, and slowly spoke again,
“Prim…”
Calling her name like that, felt unfamiliar. Prim hesitated for a moment before she could answer.
“Yes, Your Highness?” (Prim)
“Thank you.” (Reynsis)
“For what?” (Prim)
“All of it. Everything.” (Reynsis)
He slowly opened his eyelids. Prim watched, enraptured by his long eyelashes fluttering open to reveal his gorgeous lake blue eyes again. He pulled his forehead away from hers to take in her whole face. Still at a close distance, Reynsis smiled brightly.
A face freed from darkness with no signs of pain. Prim laughed with him, but it didn’t feel real.
As an author, she intervened with the plot so it was natural for the content to change.
But why can Reynsis see color now? She hasn’t found his fated beauty yet.4
Prim glanced at her hand. It was held firmly by him as if he would never let go.
‘Yeah. Maybe because I’m the writer, so I’m speeding up the plot.’5
Otherwise, his fated one could still be out there somewhere.
Whatever happened, Reynsis, Prim’s former ‘Beast’, was no longer imprisoned in a black and white world.
This will be his first time experiencing this beautiful chaotic colorful world.
Prim shook her head gently and decided to abandon the complicated ideas that were running in her mind. ‘Let’s just be happy with how this situation turned out.’ That was her only thought.1
Prim smiled broadly. Tears glistened on the corners of her eyes. His eyes were enchanted by her lovely smile.

Reynsis, who was deathly ill for several days, finally woke up. Besides recovering from his fever, he can now see colors.
Perhaps the Emperor will call Reynsis back to the main palace. And he will appoint him as his successor like he once proclaimed.
It was a great honor, but Prim thought otherwise.
Because as long as the Emperor was alive, Reynsis happiness could not be guaranteed.
However, Reynsis’s thoughts were different from hers.
‘If I leave the palace, my excuse to keep Prim will be gone. Now that I can see color, her job is all done.’
‘…Until I became an adult.’
‘I have to keep her.’3
Prim wouldn’t know his thoughts. She was a decent adult who was responsible for him, and Reynsis was only 16 years old.2
He knew Prim didn’t see himself as a man. His vein popped just thinking of how she thought of him. It made him so angry right now and admittedly to himself, he was still very young and immature.
‘If that’s the case, then this will end.’
Reynsis has to grow up.
Even if it was beyond his power now, he had to use whatever he had to keep her by his side.
“Prim.”
When he called for her, Prim’s gaze fell on him.
“Let’s go together.” (Reynsis)
“……” (Prim)
“You said that you will help me.” (Reynsis)
Despite Reynsis’s urging, Prim didn’t answer. She looked flustered and was hesitating now.
In other words, she was already thinking of leaving Reynsis’s side. Reynsis was willing to do anything.
“My eyes hurt.” (Reynsis)3
He was willing to lie, in order to gain her sympathy.1
“What?” (Prim)
Prim was startled and walked closer to him.
“Oh no! How’s your vision? Can you see?? Does it hurt a lot?”
Her face came to cover his sight entirely. Unlike Prim’s worried face, his heart was filled with contentment.
It amazed him that Prim would worry about him, and her eyes were only fixed on him.
‘I don’t want this to stop.’ Reynsis looked at her with a sullen face.2
“…I guess she didn’t really love me.” (Reynsis)2
“Who didn’t love you?” (Prim)
“My fated person that I don’t know about.” (Reynsis sighed heavily)1
Reynsis drooped his shoulders and his lower lip quivered. It was like witnessing an abandoned puppy soaked in the cold rain.7
